  1. I'm currently reading book 2 of the German version of Marvel Comic's adaptation of The Stand by Stephen King. I enjoyed The Stand itself immensely, enough to call it one of my favourite books, and so reading the comic is something I've been curious about for a while. Reading probably isn't yet the correct term as I'm more trying to translate it with a dictionary beside me - I'm using it as one of my fun ways to learn German while on exchange. I'm hoping that by the end of my exchange I'll have bought and read all 5 books of the adaptation. So far (from what I can make out) it seems to be doing really well in keeping to the book, any changes seem to be for the better of the comic and the art is of course fantastic.
  2. Turning 20 in April, and I hope I'm still asked for my ID for many more years yet
  3. In Game Informer they revealed that there would be 10 races. Assuming they stick with this number and don't swap one race for another (both of which are near-certain) - I think there will be no new races. They've done well with keeping the same races for the past two games, and I can't see them needing to add anything new until they venture into Elsweyr and Black Marsh. I'd like to think they'd sneak one on us, but I think dragons were enough of a surprise to last me a while
  4. I had read it more as that the leaves were a lime shaded green, although if I did not know from the title of the poem that it was an oak tree I might have assumed it were better fitting to the type of tree rather than the colour of its leaves. I might also add that I have seen lime and oak trees fairly close together before, still I have not yet seen the two close enough for one to be beneath the leaves of both at the same time. I would not discount it entirely if the trees were large enough for their leaves to overlap. Nuances aside, I loved the imagery in this, it was a pleasure to read :)
  5. My art varies a lot depending on my patience at the time, I've done some maps and the occasional piece of fanart, but mostly I work on concept art for my fictional world. It's all digital art, mostly created from scratch in Photoshop and/or Painter, although occasionally I will work over a pencil or ink drawing. They all link to the full sized image on my deviantArt~ http://i52.tinypic.com/2z54tmt.jpg Argonian in Black Marsh http://i55.tinypic.com/wpdut.jpg Map of one of the cities in my fictional world - Dir'ht http://i52.tinypic.com/351ssvo.jpg Painting made for a burlesque exhibition (Censored, but links to uncensored image - you will need to log in to deviantArt to view) http://i53.tinypic.com/2qm42hc.jpg Vaermina, an older piece of fanart from before Istarted using Painter and had a different colouring style. Still, it's relevant so I thought I'd post it :)

  7. Thank you for the warm welcome! I hope that I will be able to share something soon :)
  8. Hallo, my name is Carly or Karithina, I'm turning 20 in April, and I've been a lurker on the various Nexus websites for quite a few years. I've been playing the Elder Scrolls games since shortly after seeing a family friend looting barrels around Balmora as a Khajiit on the Xbox version of Morrowind back in 2002. I met my best friend (now girlfriend) through our mutual love of Morrowind as well as the Redwall books, and we waited for Oblivion together. Our boyfriend got me interested in Fallout: New Vegas, which was the only game supported on the Nexus sites that I was not yet playing and loving. I do a digital art and design course in Townsville, Australia and I'm going to be studying in Würzburg, Germany for the first half of this year. I'd love to work on a mod for one of the Elder Scrolls games one day but so far haven't had the time (like many, many others I am sure). So far any modifications I've created have been limited to texture art, in the form of virtual clothing and body parts for two different social games, but I'd like to branch out more into the technical or meshing side eventually. That's enough from me for now, I just thought I'd finally say hi :)
