I agree you get a similar thing used on real-life scenes from photographers who use HDR for everything :facepalm: As a side note, HDR in photography and in games is quite the opposite of each other.In photography it's primarily used to reduce the over-sensibility of photosensors to light contrasts, so that the photo looks more like the scene as we perceive it. While in most games it's strangely the other way around, used to induce contrast issues so that it looks like seen through a camera... sic. High contrast might look good in some situations but it's so poorly used here...

I'm mostly annoyed by the brightness variation of the HDR effect. Bloom is probably okay but it'd be nice to have it as an option too.
