just wanted to update.. still having this problem. have tried every fix listed, nothing works. definitely not a hardware issue as this doesn't happen in any other game and my temps are all fine and my power supply is good.

i think you're on to something here. i usually crash right after i open up my map outside, or just after i close a menu and start to move. quite annoying to say the least but i've definitely noticed a correlation to the ui and my crashes
