  1. I checked out the Steam forums for this and found basically the same thing MB reported above. A lot of folks have this, there are 6-8 suggestions about maybe fixing it, but no one ever posts back that something worked except the console option. I gave in and did the following commands: setstage MQ106 150 setstage MQ106 155 setstage MQ106 160 I did not have to do the other suggested commands: setstage MQ106 200 (or) setstage MQ201 10 After typing the first command above, I exited the console and tried talking to Delphine. After the first and second command, there was no change. But the thrid command prompted the dialogue options and I was able to fully converse on the Blades, dragons and Falmor. The Blade in the Dark quest completed and the next stage has been set to continue. The only disappointing thing, I never got the dragon soul. SOMEBODY OWES ME A DRAGON SOUL!!! Sorry about that. Is there a console command that would allow me to put a dragon soul in my inventory? If I do that, wouldn't Skyrim be fully back on the course that should have happened if the Delphine bug hadn't bit me in the butt?
  2. Thanks for the link, Mercbird. I've killed the dragon several times and I do not absorb the soul. (I don't think Miraak is involved.) I've gone alone and with a companion and neither made a difference. I've tried attacking the dragon early and I've waited until it attacks first. After killing the dragon, I've left the area and returned. None of these work. I have the Unofficial patch that I downloaded in Sept. Unless someone has suggestions other than the above, I guess I'll have to do the dirty and use console. I hate to go that route, but I'll need other ideas to avoid it.
  3. Sorry if this should be in spoilers, but Delphine is making me crazy. First, when I followed her out of the Inn on the way to find the dragons, she just stopped in the road and wouldn't talk or move. So I left her there, figuring that she would be at the mountain top with the dragons when I got there. So in the meantime, I've played for a couple of months doing walkabout things and enjoying meeting new people and making a few bucks. So today I went to the mountain top and Delphine was there along with Alduin and a freshly minted dragon. She says watch. So I watch a minute. The dragon eventually attacks, we kill it and Delphine is awestruck or something just staring at the dragon. When I attempt to talk to her, she just responds, "By the Gods! Look at that!" or something similar every time I initiate dialogue. She won't leave the area. I've tried bumping her, I've started a fight with her, I've fast traveled to Windhelm and back to no avail. I do not believe its mod related as I only have 8 or 10 cosmetic mods and the recommended Skyrim updates. I'm playing the Legendary edition and the first issue where she got stuck on the road happened before I added any mods. The quest calls for me to talk to Delphine, but it's not happening. Any ideas or solutions would be most appreciated.
  4. My first time through this quest, and my character thumbed her nose at Clavicus Vile to let the dog live, so why not see what Dagon can do about it. It seemed like the less obvious choice, and sometimes being a contrarian can be fun and entertaining. Looting Dagon's shrine made it feel like the right choice. I haven't yet gone back to the museum to visit Silas, but plan to. Since no one has mentioned stealing the dagger, I assume that's not an option. Oh, well. I recently started another character who is not playing nice, so maybe next time Silas gets the ax.
  5. Thanks, BR. Legendary? Ha!!! I'm just a casual player that has managed to muddle through Elder Scrolls III and IV on normal difficulty. Which usually takes me about 9 months to a year to complete each game. But that's okay, I enjoy poking around - only this time I think I poked a hornet's nest. I thought this was mentioned in the Wiki and it sounds like a BIG DEAL! This seems like a handicap of major proportions. It's got me thinking that I should go back to a save from before I left Skyrim and concentrate on small matters like the civil war and joining the Thieves Guild. Unless someone knows of a "legal" (non-console) trick or solution that might work, I'll go back a few days and skip that little boat ride until I've got a houseful of dragon bones. Thanks, guys
  6. I'm looking for a little guidance or advice, please. My Dragonborn got pissed at this dude Miraak's cultist trying to kill him and followed the leads over to Solstheim. I've only completed a few misc. quests and killed 3 or 4 dragons so now I may be in over my head. I made it through Miraak's temple with Frea and Lydia and got the next quest at Skaal to go learn the shout word to mess with Miraak's mind control stones. Now when I killed the dragon at the top of the mountain, I noticed that I did not absorb his soul, plus I'm still figuring out some basic things like how to activate a new shout. So I went on Wiki and read the quest info on Miraak's temple to see what I was missing. I learned enough to find my stored dragon souls in the character menu and found I had one. I thought there should be 2, but then learned Miraak can absorb my dragon kills before I can. I read a little further to understand this Miraak, and the battle to come sounds like it is way too advanced for my current abilities. Am I over-reacting to what I've read, or do I need to get myself back to Skyrim and do some Graybeard stuff and hope I can gain enough dragon souls to fight Miraak when I get to level ___? Or is Miraak leveled down to my character now and maybe I stand a chance in combat at level 18????? That's eighteen, not eighty-one. We're barely shaving here. Have I opened a can of worms that is going to mess me up?
  7. Thanks, Rennn. The mod looks like it can help. Dumb question, but what is meant by "radiant" quest?
  8. Does anyone know of a list of locations (dungeons, caves, ruins, etc.) that have no quest associated with them? My style of play is to not go in places that I discover on the way to a specific job, but may want to come back and clean out later. One of my minor pet peeves is to work a random cave and 3 or 4 days later have a quest that sends me back to that very location. So it occurred to me to see if all locations have a quest associated with them - or if some are just there for our general amusement.
  9. Fixed that for ya. I guess I'm out of the loop.....where do I find an explanation for "That which must not be named"?
  10. Thanks, all. That explains why I couldn't import the character I created for WH, but then couldn't import him into Awakening. So I was allowed to raise Theron from the dead and have imported him. The timeline helps keep it well framed and that makes sense as a way to complete the series. So far, I'm rather more impressed with the scope of the Awakening module than the WH story. I'm guessing it is the most involved of the additions and so far, it works as a story continuation.
  11. Recently finished the first play-through of Origins. Is there a logical (or preferred) order in which to play the added content? I completed the Stone Prisioner, Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar quests with Origins. The order they are listed in the menu has Witch Hunt on top. I did that one and it felt like it was out of place. Is there any sense of continuity in the order of play?
  12. Never mind....... I changed to the elven army and doubled down on the ballista towers and things went quite nicely. Well, except for that Archdemon vs. grey wardens curse thingy. But an awesome ending nonetheless.
  13. Back again.... So we're holding our own against the Archdemon, when he runs off and a hoard of darkspawn start spewing out from somewhere. The dwarves that were coming out to fight the Archdemon seem to disappear just when we need them. The darkspawn keep overwhelming my little party without re-enforcements. How do I call the backups? They don't seem to respond by clicking on the army picker.
  14. Great help, guys. Thanks for all the help.
