  1. A few years ago I made a vampire themed music overhaul for skyrim. It was not popular but those that left feedback were all very enthusiastic about it. Since then I have grown a lot as a musician. Also, now have purchased a few computer symphony plug-ins. I am planning on remaking my music overhaul, and opening up suggestions for other music overhaul themes. I would love input. The current theme is vampire. For input I want to know descriptive words for how you feel as a vampire walking through a city. Exploring at night, in combat. Etc etc. For example, when I play vampire, while walking through a city-suspense because looking for a new victim, in combat-thrill because vampires inevitably win, exploring at night-happy/creepy because night is when vampires feel at ease to go about the vampire life. However, many others might have different interpretations of these moments in a play through. I want my score to be applicable to as many different vampire players as possible. The different moments to consider are as follows- level up, city, explore day, explore night, dungeon, cave, combat, castle, tavern, find new location, find new dangerous mission, Sovngarde, soul cairn. I know I'm missing a few but hopefully this gives me a good idea of how you feel while playing vampire. For many, vampire play throughs might not be very interesting. So please offer up your preferred music theme. Epic Dragon Born, medieval, dawnguard, magician, archer, possibly a theme i haven't considered. Lastly I want to open up my services as a composer to any skyrim projects that need it. Thanks to all who take the time to offer their input!!!
  2. I would love this as well. So many outfits with heels but they look like trash due to the calves being shortened
  3. I feel like it is well known that windows memory usage isn't perfect. I have heard about memory issues for a long time. To be honest I am no expert on exactly what people mean by these. So instead I will let my observations speak for themselves. Sometimes saves won't load, or I get crashes so if I load a very different save then load my desired save it loads fine. What I take from that is that Windows does not completely forget all the info from my previous loads and so making it forget old info by loading a very different save helps release some of the old info and thus allows my desired save to have a better chance at loading. If I leave my computer off and unplugged for a few days Skyrim runs SUPER good for like 4hours. However, eventually issues start catching back up with it and then crashes and messed up loads happen. Is there anything I can do/run to get windows to actually forget Skyrim memory between launches? Has anyone else seen this? Am I crazy? Thanks to all who read and offer help!!
  4. On the page the mod author authorizes conversions of his armor as long as he mentioned in credits. I tried to convert a few, but I suck at it.... has anyone who knows what they are doing considered doing a conversion?
  5. Nope no way to close it that I know of...... just dont comment anymore and your post drifts away into the massive archive. But its good these stay available to people, that way when someone encounters a similar problem in the future they can just search, find this post and learn without needing to make a new post. That being said some dummies are either terrible at searching, or just never search at all ;)
  6. Looks like a weird depth of field setting. Go into your ENB series ini file (located in the same folder as Skyrim EXE and turn off depth of field. http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBseries_INI/Effect ^^^ A resource to help you understand how enb series ini works. BTW, this probably should have been placed in mod troubleshooting forum, not mod talk. You would have received more responses
  7. Just download and use a save for just after helgen is done. I NEVER redo the helgen scene in any of my play throughs- messes with all kinds of mods. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30969/? I have used this save at least 20 times! :D
  8. I am wondering if it is possible to make combat look more like something from the Witcher where attacks and defenses fall into preset animations. In my head it seems possible. Does anyone have advice or have reasons why it wouldnt work?
  9. If you reached Vram limit were you configuring your ENB ini files correctly?
  10. Do you want to mail your mesh to me and I will take a look? If you dont want to do that, I understand. If you want to know what I was going to be looking for I would be looking at the meshes for problems, then for NiSkinInstance, NiTriStrips and correcting them, then into outfit studio/bodyslide looking for other issues.
  11. You mean to duplicate and relink inside of TES5edit? If thats what you mean I am vaguely familiar with that..... ill look into it... wish me luck!
  12. Glad you found a resource more knowledgeable than me. It would have been a shame if I had discouraged you from what you are doing since in-fact there is a solution for you. Sorry for being a negative nancy. Good luck!
  13. I remember my toons having crazy HDT effects when I was using HDT Object mod. So in that case I was making the player chacter calculate for HDT effects twice. That isnt the only way you can get HDT problems though. If you use a body that is weighted for a specific HDT preset and then use a different one you can also get weird behavior. Also, mine just always has weird tiny little glitches. Kinda like yours except not as noticeable. I think what cause it is the custom Idle animation I use. Basically it keeps the play in constant movement and HDT calculations freak out...... Striaght up guess for why I see what I see. Let me explain my installation order and if you copy mine, it should reduce what you have going on. CBBE body http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2666/? HDT extensions http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53996/? Realistic Ragdolls and Force http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/601/? HDT HighHeels http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36213/? HDT Equipement http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57408/? Physics Preset http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54044/? Skeleton http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/? So basically install your body mods, then the engine extension, then any add-ons, then the preset you want, then the Skeleton It is ok if you use different body's or presets but keep them in this order.
  14. I second using Tes5edit. Filter for conflicts and look for mods that are overwriting eachother..... when you find em then you know what you need to get rid of.
  15. So I am working some quests. I used a vanilla quest for a template for one of my quests, but must have absentmindedly allowed it to be overwritten in the process. Now that I have finished my work in TES5edit it shows my esp overwriting the vanilla quest. Please is there anyway for me to save my work and undo this idiot mistake? It is just too much work to start all over before first crying for help.
  16. When I have mods that dont work I uninstall them. Make a save, use 2 save cleaners http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/? and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? and then I reinstall. This works to fix any problems. I think what it has to do with is that your scripts were coming from a mod with a particular number in the load order and then the loadorder gets changed and then that script gets all jumbled. Also might be a good idea to have this. Cuz this fixes script issues on its own! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038/? Good luck!
  17. Oh, you could pull up that quest and try to figure out what they did! Pull up C00GiantAttack in your creation kit! I don't know a damn thing about scripting so I cant help but that quest might just be what you need!
  18. So legendary replaces all the patches. So make sure you dont have ANY other patches still in there. Also some mods require the old patches. So me I never changed to legendary patch. I just stuck with the old ones..... they always worked fine for me!
  19. I looked through the list, didnt see anything obvious that would cause trouble. You are probably playing on a very dirty save. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? make a new save and try to use that to clean it up.
  20. Maybe you could set them as opposing factions?
  21. Did you perhaps let Skyrim go to launcher recently? A common problem I have is forgetting to start steam before I try to run Skyrim. When that happens steam comes up then takes me to the Launcher which....... DESTROYS your custom ini edits. So lets say you have a mod or an enb that needs a particular ini edit then allowing the launcher comes up erases that. All you need to do is re-edit your ini files or if you were smart and saved copies then just overwrite them. This is really the only way I can imagine Skyrim acting strangely and no mods were changed.
  22. Oh wow. Kinda like reducing the huge number of assets the game calls upon. Either way you try to accomplish that task would be monumental. The best way to see everything in a space would be to load that space in the creation kit. The creation kit will display a list of EVERY item in that room. From there you could look at those items and see the meshes/textures they use. Once you find something you want to change you would extract the BSA file your item is located in. Open the NIF(mesh) file and then manually change the texture files. TBH I am not sure it would be worth it. I find this process time consuming just to put meshes and textures all in their correct place when making a new armor/weapon. It would be even more tedious trying to do this for assets already in the game. Plus in a way you wont really reduce the stress on your system because when the game loads it will first load the BSA then load your overwrites. Hope this info helps! Good luck!
  23. Good question, the answer to your question "Can I use two mods together that overwrite assets?" Is yes and no. So there are a few different ways we can come across the need to overwrite files. The first way is a way that is on purpose. Lets say I have a mod that makes a piece of armor. Then I install another mod that updates that armor then I am totally able to overwrite and use these mods together. The next way we can come into conflict is an overwrite that is not on purpose but does no harm. A good example of this in my Skyrim folder currently is some of my mods that change the Females in Skyrim. CBBE, better females by bella, Brows by Hvergelmir, Bijin NPCs, Bijin Warmaidens, CBBE body options, Eyes of Beauty........ etc etc etc. These all overwrite assets and even though they are not really intending to, its all good, because no conflicts are produced. Another way things can be overwritten is in a way that your game will still load but some assests that you wanted are not there. So a good example of that is installing an HDT armor mod but then that armor gets overwritten by another mod and now that armor isnt HDT anymore. Lastly, some overwrites can be detrimental to your ability to load the game. Typically, you will find these overwrites within the ESP files and you dont even get a chance to be warned. Best way to see what overwrites what is by looking in the esp files in TES5edit. It will show you what has been overwritten. Some mods reference different items and if another mod comes along behind it and breaks that reference you can get all kinds of trouble. Hope this helps!
  24. Post a load order.... but looks like a mod that messes with wood or woodcutting is the offender LMFAO
