  1. I'm trying to set up a dwemer prison and I'm using the dwemer shaft traps ( A pedestal with a cylindrical cage that pops up) I want to use them like prison cells. When they're active the cage goes up and when they're deactivated the cage goes down, simple enough. Trouble is I can't get them to activate. I'm trying to use different buttons and levers as activation parents but it won't work. This is my first mod and I've found most of my answers on the tutorials via youtube and the wiki but they're not helping me at all this time. Any advice would be appreciated.

  3. I like the idea of an arena in each of the holds. Add an extra cavern to the Cidhna Mine as a starting point where you can fight prisoners. Turn the grove you find Sindig in into a forest grove style arena Use the bandit arena in Lost Knife Hideout Make a ice cavern near winterhold run by vampires where you can fight frost trolls, falmer, undead and vampires Add a dueling ring outside of Solitude where you can challenge or be challenged by NPCs Also a quest where you are pulled into Oblivion by a Dremora Lord called the Emissary and forced to pic a Daedric Lord to fight for. You pick one simply by walking through the door beneath the statue of the Daedric Lord you choose. Beyond that door you can pick up a unique piece of Daedric armor depending on the Lord you choose. An example of what a helmet for the champion of Hermaeus Mora could look like You then proceed to battle each of the other Daedric champions to the death. After beating them all you receive a perk from your Deadric Lord and the Emissary becomes available as a summon spell. This would all require a lot of work though.
  4. I have no experience with modding or anything but.... Mod the race selection screen so that you could create a follower and select from a menu of options to choose from the list of available scripted characters. Kind of like in Baldurs Gate or Neverwinter Nights where you select a voice at the beginning. For example you create a custom Dark Elf female character with Lydia, Vex or Karliah's dialogue. As it stands a lot of NPC's can be made into followers with the console. The dialogue options are limited to "follow me" and the basic follower dialogue but its there. That being said it's not as awesome as this idea could be.
