So, I installed vortex, imported my 200+ mods, and now it crashes immediately upon startup. I can't do anything. It's toast. No biggie, I'll just go back to NMM. Oh wait, except I can't update any of my mods because I'm locked out from downloading anything with NMM. Thanks nexus....

That's odd, I only have Edit, Multiquote, and Quote. Regardless, I believe I resolved my issue, I just needed to move the 4GB FNV loader to my fallout folder and load it through there. I've been able to get to the Gecko Hunting section once I did that.

Okay, I just got this message on crash, "Out of memory!" I think I might have not installed the FNV 4GB correctly? I've got 8GB of RAM, a bad ass processor and 2GB of video RAM, so there's no way I'm out of memory to use.

This is probably a simple fix, I've been away from the modding scene for a while until I got a better rig. I'm able to basically get out of Doc Mitchell's house and as soon as I go to the Prospector's Saloon it cashes as soon as it loads the room, like right after it finishes with the loading screen, crash to desktop. My new rig could also be the problem, so I'll dish out the specs. Windows 8 (May be 8.1) i7 4700MQ GT 740M 2GB 8GB RAM DX11 As for what mods I've installed NMC's LARGE texture pack Fallout Character Overhaul Beware of girl I had Willow and Project Nevada loaded, but uninstalled to see if they were the problem, they don't seem to be. I also installed NVSE and downloaded FNV 4GB but I'm not sure if I installed it right, or at all. Oh, and I'm using the ultimate edition with all the addons and what not. If someone would tell me where I screwed up, that'd be nice, thanks in advance.

I don't know whether to drop to me knees and cry and scream in a fit of rage despair and frustration, or thank you profusely and shut the f*#@ up and conquer the capital wasteland... Either way, it works, and I'm about to beat Butch's face in mercilessly. I think I'll take all my frustration out on him... Yeah... Butch, here I come. Okay, so I've pretty much all but given up playing FO:3, which makes me really sad, I love FNV and all, but there's just something about FO:3, especially with the mods, that just made it f*#@ing amazing. Anyways, Fresh install, no mods, patched to 1.7. I'm not doing anything dumb, it literally just freezes as soon as I come shooting out Mom's vagina. Farthest I've ever gotten was once I made it all the way to the Special book and I about s#*! my pants, then the game froze and I gave up for like 6 months, now I'm back. Same problem. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, 8GB of RAM, 512 MB of VRAM, DirectX11 (Which I've heard might be the problem) 2.26GHz Quad core i5. This rig has never run FO:3 but my deskptop with 1GB RAM, 3GHz single core, and a 512MB card (Directx 9) will play it. Please help, I know the community for this game is a bit dead, but I f*#@ing love this game. I need help. I'm tired of playing it on xbox without mods.

it seems like there haven't been hardly any activity. Or at least, judging by endorsements. I just got back from Skyrim. Decided to dust off my trusty hunting rifle and blow some brains out. Then suddenly, it's like everyone packed up and left. What happened? Everyone go to Skyrim?

@ Chaospearl Okay, first off. I play at Expert with DD, and a few combat realism mods. I play light armor with daggers and bows. I take 2 hits from a bandit's steel sword and I'm dead. I die quiet rarely though. Second, here's my advice to you. Keep your eyes on the enemy. Learn to move without looking where you're going, of course without getting yourself trapped. Now, in light armor, especially at the difficulty I have it set at, you need to be VERY mobile. I turn a Berserk Orc Warrior's 1 minute fight into a 10 minute fight. I run all around the room, kiting, shooting when I can, and stabbing as I run by. If you're going to play in light armor, learn to not get hit. If you want to live forever and take damage like a boss, go roll an orc, get in some steel gear, grab a warhammer, pop your racial, and go to town. Otherwise, keep your eye on the prize, never stop moving, be fast, be nimble, don't get hit.

@ OP. I honestly play both somewhat equally. I play a female character mainly because I have a thing for assassin's and rangers. An Ashen female Ranger makes for one helluva looker in my opinion. I detest the sight of the male form, and prefer the female form. Not that I'm jerking off or get my rocks off from a game, I just think a female looks better. But, then I have my moments where I'd really just love to run in with my Einherjar and Battleaxe and bleed some F***ers. So it depends on my mood as for who I play. If I'm in a sorta non-confrontational, "would rather shoot you from the shadows" mood, I play a girl. If I want to bash your skull in, I play a guy. Really just for looks.

Okay, so entire sections of dungeons, keeps, my freaking house, etc... are just... vanishing. Sometimes when you step on it, it appears, other times you fall right through into an abyss only to be teleported back to where the floor is SUPPOSED to be, resulting in a never ending cycle of free-fall. It's quest breaking, game breaking, and really pissing me off. Anyone know a fix, solution, reason why, etc? Would be greatly appreciated.

Erm... I never have any problems... I've got a bunch of combat immersion mods on and I have it set on Expert and I hardly ever die.. The most "god" thing I'm using is daggercraft. My advice, get some potions, learn to cook, learn to dodge/evade/run and be smart. It's not horribly hard, just constantly keep everyone at an arm's length or greater, and run in a zig zag manner. That's what I do and I only use two daggers :3. Oh, forgot to mention, I'm more of the assassin type character. I use daggers, stealth, and bows. So I take forever, but I don't get hurt much. If you're going for neanderthal type melee, make an orc and give him a warhammer, pop racial, walk out with lewts.

Aww, damn it! So I'd have to do it myself? A mod author isn't allowed to make it and post it? If so, what about dagger craft? They're using... oh wait... nevermind. I know why. The armor from WoW is run in a completely different engine. You'd have to completely REMAKE the armor. It wouldn't be Blizzard's copyrighted s*** anymore. Just a look-a-like. Grr... This doesn't seem very popular, especially just one suit. I'd likely have to "donate" or "pay" an author to make it. Which I could, but I'm still not sure what the Nexus's rules are on that. Don't wanna piss them off. >< If a mod or someone who knows the rules in depth reads this, how far am I allowed to "persuade" a mod author to make this?

My HDD crashed... I can't find WiS anywhere... Was one of my favorite mods, what happened?

I think it has to do with my mods. I'm running around 50 esps. Most of them aren't that heavy. Few require SKSE. All of them are popular mods, made sure none conflicted. In particular, the second legion quest, the one to get the Shattered Crown (I think it's called). The second I walk into the dungeon, myself and my entire assault team fall into nothing. About 50 feet in front of the door is solid ground for another 30 feet, then more nothing where I think a turn is supposed to be. Some of it just shows up when you step on it, some isnt there. Oh! And the helgen dungeon was doing the same thing on the legion side with Hadvar. Bunch of the chests were missing, as well as the few gold pieces I always grab. Is my game screaming, "Bad Tiy! No Legion for you!" or are my mods f***ing up?

Oh, thanks for the info. You wouldn't happen to know how I could get the file I need for 3dsmax, would you? Is it buried somewhere in the world of warcraft files? Am I even allowed to copy it and have it converted?

Hoping someone could some how make a mod with armor that looks like this? Really sentimental to me, and looks amazing. it's World of Warcraft Tier 6 Rogue gear. It's really awesome looking in my opinion.

Okay, so seriously, you don't get some massive reward for defeating Aludin? Or to hell with that, I paid the 150 or something for the collector's thing the day it came out, I want a bitching house. Anyone ever think to take Dragonsreach and turn it into a play home? By the gods, not a replacer, just a standalone at a different location. Add a forge and some smithing stuff on the balcony, put a range and some dummies outside too. Get creative. Do it right, and I can promise you, the kids will love it!
