  1. After a long time away, I was searching for mods for a game and had two separate search-engine results that link to this site for two separate mods, give me a "hidden file" page with an explanation to the effect of "Game Front is now back therefore we can't let you access the mod because ya know stepping on toes or some such. Are you not entertained?" I just don't see it. It seems like unnecessary and excessive self-deprecation on the part of Nexus Mods which has been steadfast to the gaming community -- while others, not so much. Maybe I missed something. Wouldn't be the first time. As I said, been away from this site for awhile. Sigh. Off to GameFront to search for those mods.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply! Have uploaded mod including an optional tweak to the weapon properties per the description. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4845
  3. There's an existing mod to replace the model for 1H axe Daisycutter with one of the six vanilla models. However, I have resized the original Daisycutter model so it's no longer a ridiculous Greataxe-sized model. I scaled it down as such: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/140/16231479-1517037367.jpg ... Am I allowed to upload these mmh, msh, and phy files, or is there a prohibition against that (being as it's data from an expansion pack that could be considered "backwards-portable")? Bear in mind the mao and dds files will not be included in the override, so the model's textures wouldn't work unless they have Awakening installed.
  4. The only downloadable version I could find still accessible in the public domain is v0.1, and it's only a bare-functioning model viewer. I know DA:O is still popular (heck, people are still fiddling with NWN1, I spent substantial hours using the NWN toolset just this past month), and this whole shutdown of the BSN is inexplicable on so many levels, from a customer-relations perspective. (Put more bluntiy, it's a dirty trick -- had modders and the community known they were capable of pulling such a stunt, they could have "set up shop" on another bandwidth-friendly forum without too much trouble. All the threads and labor people put into modding, and their solution is to shut down the archives. Very, very disillusioning to the hardcore fan-base.)
  5. ... anybody??? Could someone at least point me to a working downloadable "version 1.xx" copy of the DA Model Manipulator Tool?
  6. Put simply, is there any hope to obtain some of the "entry level" modding tools for DA:O? For example, there's a much-talked-about tool(s) from Adinos called "DATool" or "DA Model Manipulator" that I am unable to get due to the Bioware social network being taken down. I've performed my idea of a hard-target search and the only accessible thing I found was a beta version on File Planet that has no functionality other than as a model viewer. Any working links to modeling/modding tools, particularly to do with 3D meshes, would be appreciated. Toolset is adequate for many functions, but when it comes to manipulating 3D models it's cryptic at best. It's prohibitively difficult to even get off the ground vis-a-vis equipment modeling, what with most of the informative posts/tutorials and associated "inter-linking" being hamstrung by Bioware's rather nasty thumb-in-the-customer's-eye move and, to a lesser extent, by Nexusmod site's URL "restructuring."
