so im trying to make some followers, i already created them in skyrim, i got one in the game but he didnt look like the one i made. so now im stuck. His hair i picked is missing (im using KS hairdos lite SE) the eyebrows are also missing (Truebrows) and the face is also missing (total character makeover). Also apart from hello, i get no other dialogue options. is there something extra im supposed to do when not using vanilla meshes and textures?

ok i see what you mean. yes the one you linked is the one im using which makes the game look amazing. but i would like to keep those colors but also give the game a bleak feel do you think it would be at all possible? i checked out alone. it makes the game a bit too dark for me. but it does look nice edit: i kept looking and i think alone looks amazing. if i could combine alone and the one i have currently while also making it slightly brighter during the day (because thats where all the darkness bothers me) i be set. like its dark like at night (alone does a perfect job at that) but still have nice blue sky in the day and if i go to like diamond city the colors pop* thats what i want.

right now im running Mango's Config - ReShade Preset but i would like to add some effects from another. is there a way to do so? also how would i go about making my own?

The old way had you add /string /meshes ect to the .ini the new way tells you to delete that and add some other stuff to the .ini files.

thats exactly what i did yea.. the "new way" doesnt work. not for me atleast. my mods stopped working. game crashed... it was a mess

delete everything NMM and FO4 related. reinstall FO4 and THEN install NMM. (dont forget to edit the .ini files the old school way) you shouldn't have to change anything in NMM. once thats install and it scans your game and finds FO4 you set. just download and install mods

I think the OP might have meant the excessive head and limb explosions. I don't want to turn off the gore because it should be there, but I would also like the rate of head explosions and limb removal to be nerfed somewhat. Maybe moved to only on crits or something like that. exactly. i dont mid the head coming off when i shoot them there, or the arm. but yea, exactly what you said.

i have all the perks.

is there anything for that? i hate it when i kill someone an they just blow up.. im ok with like an arm coming off or a leg... but it gets annoying when the whole body jsut blows up from a pistol shot

i got it to work. completely uninstall FO4.. i mean like, remove everything. including the .ini folder in documents. and same for NMM. and the mods, and then reinstall everything. do the .ini instructions old and new. it should work.

all my mods were working perfectly. then NMM starts telling me something about longer load times, so i follow the "new" instructions they give you ( ) that broke my mods, so i reinstalled the game, did the old thing to get mods working and reinstalled my mods.. now they dont work either. some work fine and some dont work at all (like armorsmith extended) but if i add too many i crash (im adding the same i had before) idk what to do.
