  1. I had a similar problem but I was using the Bethesda mod system and it crashed without starting the game. I figured it has something to do with load order but since I can not open it it can't be edited. This is where it got strange. I guess since the built in official mod system it separate from the actual program files even when I uninstalled it and reinstalled it all the mods where back in the data folder. That is not suppose to happen. They really have some burnouts running these support forums and companies. Absolutely no solutions other than just don't play the game.
  2. I am having the same issue except my file is in the fold it keeps saying it is not. Tried everything. Nexus Mods fix your s***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey what the hell is the issue with this duplicate folder data/data. Its been a year bro... WI will post this link again so you can see i and please help with the issue and not some blanket statements. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Ldya8iC8mjNTR1VkExY0dGOTQ/edit
  3. sO is my issue to complicated for help?????
  4. Here is a screen capture video showing my issue in detail. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Ldya8iC8mjNTR1VkExY0dGOTQ/edit?usp=sharing
  5. Also for no reason at all the nexus mod manager keeps putting the final failed directory with a extra folder named data that does not exist. See image https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Ldya8iC8mjTnowcUhhYUE3UEE/edit?usp=sharing I noticed a duplicate folder with no content in another directory. So I deleted thinking NMM was getting confused. Still no joy, it keeps referring to \Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Data\skyrim.esm which does not exist on my drive but \Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\skyrim.esm does and I keep pointing the software there and it keeps f-ing up the directory location in the error. This is maddening.
  6. Same here and none of the other posts here have fixed the problem. I do not this these people have this error their for they do not have a solution. I too am having issues with Nexus not recognizing the skyrim.esm file when it is in the designated folder I choose. No matter what it does not see it thus does not let me mod skyrim. Windows 8.1 may be the issue and the devs have not patched Nexus yet.
  7. I selected this folder \Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data and Nexus is still not recognizing the folder with the .exe It still gives me the error message. Why is this program not recognizing the game, this should be simple.
