  1. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I found the issue. As it turns out, CK was apparently not properly installed by Steam. I was checking install options and 'verified' system cache and it reported that I was missing 18 files. Steam downloaded these missing files and bam! Everything started working properly. I implemented your suggestions all the same, and things ran even better. You guys are awesome, thanks for the advice!
  2. So, I am trying papyrus scripting for the first time. I have been searching for info on how to configure CK so that you can attach papyrus scripts. I click the add button to attach my script and CK freezes then CTD. So I am thinking that I don't have something configured correctly. I have been searching all over the net and haven't found anything about configuring CK. Could I get one of you experts to point me to a forum entry, web page or setup documentation so that I can get this figured out. I am running CK 1.9.32.0 and SKSE 1.06.16 / 1.07.00. Steam/Skyrim is installed to root of C:. CK is set to run as Admin. I am logged in as an admin. UAC is turned off. Win7x64. All functions of CK seams to work... right up until I click the add button in a papyrus script window. Then screen goes gray and Microsoft kindly informs me the program as crashed and then... CTD. Thanks for your assistance in advance.
  3. Eek, I didn't see that you posted a script before I just rambled off. Thanks. I will see if I can finish what you started.
  4. I don't think so. I'll been looking on and off for two days, found ton's of bags, magic bags, inventory organizers, renamers, etc... but nothing quite like this. Course I still have 2 or 3 thousand mods yet to go. That's why I asked for any hint of what key words to search. So when all the possible things I thought up failed, I started going through them one by one under any topic I thought might yield a result. So far though... nothing. I am not apposed to searching, but I need a hint of what someone might have called such a mod or how they would have described it. That's when I thought to post here. Maybe someone with scripting skills could do this. Like I described before it doesn't have to be fancy, and invisible chest that opens with a FKey that can moves even quest locked icon-menu into them and let them open when needed. Sounds simple enough, but in reality it's usually the simple things that are near impossible. Maybe that's why I cannot find anything.
  5. Ya, I started using something like that now. but I still have some icon-menus kicking around. The icons must be marked as quest Items or something because I can't drop them or move them into my bags. Frustrating. If I could figure out OBSE enough to bind a chest to open when you hit say F-12, and then find a way to move all the items into that chest, I would be happy. I mean it would be a ugly piece of scripting, but it would get the job done.
  6. I saw that one. True it would make it so that I could make the configuration menus come up on a single key stroke, but if I drop the item from my inventory, then the hot key becomes blank and useless. What I am looking for is something that will keep the option available to change configs at any time, but clear the stuff out. Even if I could combine all the config items together in to one single one, that would be nearly good enough. Then I would only have one piece of clutter instead of a couple on each tab.
  7. I have been searching for mods but I can't seem to find what I want. I have several configuration gadgets in my inventory that open configuration options for this mod or that. Is there anyway to create a mod that you can pin (for lack of a better word) these gadget to a f-key menu so that you can still access them if you need, but it clears the clutter from your inventory? I would think this is something that would probably require OBSE, but I'm not a script-er / programmer so I wouldn't know where to start. If there is something out there that already does this, would you give me a hint or author or mod name so I can find it. If there isn't one out there, could I possibly convince a script-er to create such a thing. Thanks!
  8. Thank you so much for looking at it for me. If you figure out what I am doing wrong, please let me know so that I can document my errors to avoid them in the future.
  9. Thanks for the Link to the blender threads. And I thought I posted there. That's what I get for typing when tired. I did as you instructed. Same problem. Save, export, fail, "You have vertice which are not assigned to a body part". Frustrating as hell. I've been trying to get this to work for a week. Rebuilt the model twice. Reinstalled all the software once thinking I had a corrupted file. Only thing I can think is that I am missing a setting or button or something that is causing the failure.
  10. Hi Master Modders I am trying to attach a model to a skeleton. I have been through every tutorial I can find but I cannot get my model attached to a skeleton. The best tutorial I can find is "Tutorial: Rigging/Skinning and VATS/Dismemberment" by Zenl. And that one gets me damn close. But when I export to nif, I get an error message from pyff saying that "vertexs are not assigned to body parts", and then it shows me a patchwork quilt of vertex faces. And I cannot get these sections it shows to attach the the skeleton in any way (manual "assign", weight paint, etc...). Would one of you L33T mod Guru's please help me with a link to a very detailed step by step, or write one real quick for me. The model is finished, most of the textures are finished, this problem is my only hold up. I would really appreciate any expert help I can get. Tools used: Blender 2.49a PyFFI 2.14 Python 2.6.5 NifSkope 1.0.22 PhotoShop Portable Gimp 2.0 Thanks in advance.
  11. I have created a Armor mod for New Vegas. Used Blender, Photoshop, and NifSkop. Make Meshes? Check Save as Nif's? Check Create Textures? Check Save as DDS? Check Link Meshes and Textures? Check. Dump everything into Data Folder and in Proper file Structure? Check. Data/myMod.esp Data/meshes/armor/myFile.nif Data/archive/armor/myFolder/myTextures.dds View results in GECK? OOOoooOOO Pretty. Create ESP? Check Click ESP in Data Files? Check Start game. Go to location in game to get my goodie. There it is! Horray! Pick it up? look... pretty in inventory. Put It on? ACK... I am invisible!!! I have ArchiveInvalidation! working fine for other mods. Checked all file path names for every piece of the mesh to texture. All valid. Rendering working and looking great in GECK. What am I doing wrong, I know it has to be something simple. Can anyone tell me what I am missing. May be its a Blender setting or a Nifskope setting. If anyone has a good link to a good FAQ, site, or thread that would be great. All I can find that has any sort of real specifics are all for Oblivion, and I have created mods for that without issue. Thank you for your time in advance.
  12. I'm wondering what's up with my game. When I shoot a bow in 3rd person, the arrow travels parallel to where its suppose too, but about 5 meters to my left. It doesn't matter what bow I use. Does anyone know if this is a normal bug or have I broke my game somehow? Bad mod? Corrupted save? I have never attempted to shoot a bow in 3rd person before.
  13. Quote from the author: The armor is a retextured HGEC Steel armor replacer. Textures came from here : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20034 Meshes came from here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24194 _frost_ Damn Dude you are impressive to know what and where right down to the last rivet. Awesome. Thanks for the info. Wolfeknight
