Thank you so much for this post. I was trying to limit my fps too high and just recently starting dropping to 1 fps (sometimes lower) every now and then. Now I can manage atleast 15 which is pretty damn great for me considering the highest I've gotten was 9 maybe. As for getting to 60 fps, you really don't need it. I'd say as long as you stay out of the single digits you're game will run fine.
