Sometimes it does just crash every five minutes. I could play the game enough to enter a house and then it'll crash or I could go on a super mutant killing rampage for a few hours and everything is dandy.

I did. And great. I was hoping that they were too lazy to do that and expect the user to download the patch separately. My machine is as follows: Q6600 4GB 800MHz ram GeForce 260. Game crashes like crazy and sometimes I can get hours before it crashes. Any ideas why?

Is it pre patched with 1.7 or do you need to download that and install it seperately? I'm asking because the crash every other minute is really getting to me now.
