  1. Just another mod idea... I am surprised that the C4 in New Vegas can't blow up doors. Isn't that what its for? It would be cool if there was a mod that let you use C4 to open locked doors. Not all characters have a lot of points in lock pick. If you can't pick the lock, why not blow it off?
  2. Flashlights... Flashlights would be a nice alternative to night-vision when we get a full version of Fellout (a lighting mod with pitch black nights) and make exploring dark caves more interesting and scary. I liked the night-vision mods in Fallout 3 but I had always wished I could hold a flashlight in my off hand or attach one to my rifle so that rather than being able to see everything I could only see what was directly in front of me for a few meters. I've no idea how hard that would be to code, and it probably requires some kind of script-extender, but I would shower the creator of such a mod with much appreciation. Poker... I really wish vanilla New Vegas came with a 5-card Poker mini-game in its casinos but sadly it doesn't. I am assuming that this would be really hard for a mod maker to create without breaking some other poker game's copyright and porting their code into New Vegas but I am throwing my desire out there for 5-card Poker in case anyone was thinking of making such a mod but was not sure it would be worth the trouble to create because players might not want one (that's a helluva long run-on sentence). I was a really big fan of westerns when I was a kid, both Mavericks, anything with Gary Cooper, Jimmy Stewart, or John Wayne... especially John Wayne... classics... and poker is part of the genre, which New Vegas has merged with. ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- Regardless, thanks for what you guys (mod makers) do. These games wouldn't be nearly so great without you, I salute you with my .44! ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- EDIT: Actually, it looks like a 'full' version of Fellout has been released, yeah for real nights!
  3. Maybe he has children in the same room as the computer? Anyways, this is a legitimate request, I don't know why you all have to give him / her a hard time about it. God forbid someone have a set of morals, or want to shield his / her young children from sex. I just ignore that particular prostitute. I don't have any body mods, waiting for a good clothed one, so she looks deformed heh heh.
  4. You want to quit the game until you get involved in the faction wars... really interesting stuff.
  5. I like having to stay on the roads, makes venturing off of them more fun and challenging... I actually die! I hate those bloody butterflies though, I wear clothing not armor, and they easily kill you in the time it takes to reload.
  6. I've always hated Steam. My first experience with it was the Dawn of War II con (the game wasn't on the disk, had to be downloaded off of Steam even though you bought the box, and it was slow as hell). I am very upset that I can't install this outside of Steam, less of a pain to mess with mods. I won't be downloading any until that's changed or we get some kind of automated mod manager (I can't even activate ESPs without crashing the Data Files menu). However, I am enjoying Vanilla... but without mods this game will just be good for one or two play-throughs. And at least the game was actually on the disk this time.
  7. In Fallout III at Tenpenny Tower there is a side quest (as you already know) involving Ghouls wanting to live in the Tower. If you persuade the residents of Tenpenny Tower to let the Ghouls live with them you will find upon later revisiting the Tower that the once 'peaceful' Ghouls have gone Feral and slaughtered their neighbors, just as the residents had initially feared. Do Ghouls inevitably become Ferals?
  8. This mod is an excellent dungeon mod: StarX Vanilla Vampires Revised. It says there are missing meshes but I havn't encountered any. Yes, there are no quests, yes the spelling sucks, however... its hella' fun. He redisigned most of the generic vampire dungeons to look like vampire dungeons, with modded items, furniture, armors, etc. Really fun to explore, and really fun to fight in when you use the Deadly Reflex mod (Revamps combat). Viconia DeVir is an excellent quest mod, and it comes with a kickass companion to boot! But to play Part III, you need to download The Underdark, a really underrated rediculously large dungeon mod with lots of potential. Sorry I don't have more recommendations, havn't really messed with many quest and/or dungeon mods myself. It is very time consuming and tedius (Sp?) to find anything worthwhile there lol, I don't blame him for asking for recommendations. We need a thread where you nominate mods to be recommended, we vote on them or something, and then they can be put up there. @ Maigrets. Thanks for the recommendations, gonna check those out. EDIT: Wow, no wonder quest / dungeon mods are so hard to find, people are more interested in Hentai. Not alot of downloads, but those look awesome! (Downloading The Oubilette now).
  9. What kind of question is this? It's ten bucks! Take a risk. That is all I have to say.
  10. Thanks for the advice guys... I am going to look into all of that right now, look for some enchantment mods, and I am sure it will be easy to find some nice swords. :thanks:
  11. And here I thought this was gonna be innappropriate... o_O Anyways... I use all games as stress relievers, but as far as enjoying the scenery goes... not ussually (Though when I got my new video card I spent time looking at everything). In Star Wars: Galaxies (SWG), a crappy MMO that I played for a year in a half, I spent alot of time just looking at the endless Copy-Pasted scenery that went on forever... just because it was Star Wars and I was glad to be in it.
  12. It sounds like you are using this mod: Simbacca Player Advancement Method That means you are not playing vanilla Oblivion. (What about Viconia? She is from a mod.) It might be that your leveling mod has painted you into a corner and ruined your savegames. Things might not regain balance again on their own. I suggest that you find or make some new weapons that are powerful enough to make the game balanced again. You will still want the game to be fair and challenging, so you might have to try several times and make your new weapons stronger or weaker. And if things went out of balance again after that, you might have to get even better weapons. But it could be worth it if you really like that character and don't wish to start a new one. What I meant was (And I thought I said so, guess not) that I was defining the combat and stats as vanilla. But you have a good point, the mods themselves still affect the save files and affecting balance, and what you are saying goes in line with what I am experiencing. I will look into downloading new weapons or increasing the amount of soul essence that can be stored in a soul gem to make more powerful vanilla weapons. I also just downloaded Deadly Reflexes (After posting), and it helps aleviate the pain as I can now dodge, and have nice little bonuses if I manage to knock things down. I sent Viconia home and I can now take on what we would take on together, just takes awhile because I do crap for damage and didnt turn crits up to 100% (6 minute miniboss battles). Thanks for the advice. And maybe I will try your Leviathon Soul Gems. :) EDIT: Did you see anything wrong with my armor?
  13. Boss battles make me laugh. Because... they are easy as pie... The final boss in the Shivering Isles main quest line was easier to kill then the trash that spawned before him. Goblin warlords and head shamans are harder to kill then any boss in the game IMO.
  14. I spend more time trying to find something I like then I do downloading. For instance... armor... Alot of it is crap. I finally got tired of digging through negligee to find good female armor, which I incidently ended up hating and deleteing when I found them anyway (After hours of looking) and decided to download the Goddess Emporium super mod thing because it has everything... it won't let me complete the download... I've given up on male armor - period. (But my male Drow armor ain't half bad  )
  15. EDIT: I took like 20 minutes to write this... :ermm: I don't use any mods that increase my damage, stat cap, etc. so while I do have vanilla modded up, combat is not, so we will call it vanilla. I have reached a point where I can't scratch many vanilla mobs, and they can kill me in a few hits if I let my guard down... meaning try and hit them... once I hit them, and there is no recoil, I cant block in time. Once they hit my shield I am sent back and often cant get the shield back up. The reason I am able to do high level dungeons now is because Viconia two shots everything. Just a few levels ago I was a God. What am I doing wrong? NOTE: I used S.P.A.M. to level. Anyways, some figures: LVL: 47 HP: 519 MG: 350 (250 base) FAT: 462 (412 base) STR: 112-124 (100 base) INT: 100 WP: 100 SPD: 100 AGI: 100 END: 100 PER: 100 LCK: 62 Armor: 85 Resist Mag: 90% Spell Reflect: 35% Major Skills: Athletics: 75 Blade: 100 Block: 100 Destruction: 100 Restoration: 100 Light Armor: 100 Marksman: 62 Minor Skills I use alot: Illusion: 73 Mysticism: 100 Sneak: 65 Acrobatics: 56 Most Used Weapons: 1.) Rage (Madness Long Sword) - 30 raw damage and weighs 50 feathers. Enchantments: 10 Fire 1 sec. 70% weakness to fire 3 seconds. (150 uses) 2.) Wrath (Amber Short Sword) - 30 raw damage and weighs 50 feathers. Enchantments: 10 Thunder 1 sec. 70% weakness to thunder 3 seconds. (150 uses) 3.) Quicksand (Apophis Bow) - 17 raw damage and weighs 22 feathers. Enchantments: Drain Speed 60 pts. 5 seconds. ....a.) Apophis Arrows - 11 raw damage and weighs 0.3 feathers. Armor in Detail: Its called Drow Assassin Armor, it weighs nothing as it is light armor and I am maxed in light armor: 1.) Helm: 9 armor - +50 mg points. 2.) Amulet: 0 armor - +50 mg points. 3.) Chest: 20 armor - Resist mg 20% 4.) Gauntlets: 8 armor - +12 str. 5.) Greaves: 13 armor - Resist mg 20% 6.) Boots: 9 armor - 125 feather 7.) Ring: 0 armor - 35% spell reflection, resist mg 50% 8.) Ring: Alternates between different bonuses, such as detect life, etc. When I dont need those it is a second +12 str. I wear it simply to roleplay its supposed to be a gift (All the rings share same name). Spells Related to Combat I Use VERY Often: 1.) Strongest buyable healing spells. (Cost very little mp) 2.) 80 fire 1 sec on touch. (Cost very little mp) 3.) 80 thunder 1 sec on touch. (Cost very little mp) 4.) Invisibility for sneaking past, or getting to a squishy before letting mobs know I am there. Anyways I rely on Block over dodging as I can't dodge effectively, for some reason it seems to fire less often when I am in combat. Blocking has gone from the life saver to the death delayer. I stumble alot now when blocking, even when its not a direct hit, I am assuming its their superior agility. I fight in their faces, knocking them back and back, try to knock out weapons, front stab. I've learned how to reserve my fatigue I don't generally run out despite my weapons weight. Every few hits I use a damage spell. This stuff no longer puts a dent in anything but vampires and liches. Playable races are easy to fight. Depending on what I am fighting I can take between 1 and 4 good melee hits. Mages can't do poo and enchanted weapons that deal spell damage don't do poo, however, I cant scratch them. Shields are a female dog. This is getting rediculous that I now have to rely on Viconia to kill everything (She uses same weapons and similar armor), and just try to stay alive. I am assuming that they've outleveled me stat wise when more and more of my abilities became maxed, STR, END, INT, and WP, maxed in the thirties. That means I have had at least seven levels in which those stats havn't been able to increase but mobs have. However, people got through this before there were mods and I need help. If in your opinion there is nothing for me to do but download a mod that lets me to increase my stats and have them do more then just increase my weight limit or whatever, then say so and please recommend what you use if you do. As far as I know, in Vanilla, if I increase my strength through buffs, to say 180, all that does is increase how much I can carry and that increasing a skill, don't do poo.
  16. I almost never die of my own fault (Die somewhat often when Viconia decides to attack things in another room instead of our room pulling everything). Last time I played (A few days ago) I got oneshotted by a rock that fell from the ceiling in a cave. I have no mods that actually make traps dangerous. IMO, that was a stupid death... I've killed Gods by myself, but the one time I die because its my fault, its from a bleedin' rock.
  17. 36.) Supposedly, the only children in the game are dead babies found in the Night Mother's crypt. (They are there, just dunno whether the person who told me they were the only ones was right or not).
  18. The guy who sacrifices his mother in a Dark Brotherhood quest to get out of a gambling debt. I really wish that when you kill him Ocheeva actually asks how you screwed up such an easy mission so you could tell her off. He didn't deserve to live. The sorceress who tortures people and creates the monsters guarding the Gates of Madness... and her apprentice for being essential so I couldn't kill her to make their studies dissappear. Any and all civilians that run when you didn't get a deathblow with the first shot... and then you chase them through two city zones, having every NPC you've passed on your arse. One way or another I'm gonna slit your throat, die with some dignity man... Help!! Help!! I'm being attacked!! I am leaving my wife to die!! Help!! Help!! Glarthir. Leave me the hell alone, your quest sucks and it is tedious and it clogs my quest log. Go take some medication and write crappy poetry about how noone understands you like a normal crazy person.
  19. Because the chainmail bikini has become standard fare in nearly every depiction of a female in fantasy garb. I believe that this trend was originally started with some guys artistic works back in the 70's and 80's, and has been a constant feature in nearly every RPG and MMO since. If memory serves, both UO and EQ 1 had female characters wearing armor that left little to the imagination, and that was back in the 1990's. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main...ain.BreastPlate ROFL! Well, if you wan't to get technical.
  20. Well, first, they need to make it so that your horse is more maneuverable then a bike with no wheels. I just realized I've never tried to see if you can even melee on a horse.
  21. I wan't my bloody Ceanateur Shogan Armor S now!! And my Nargacuga Lance and shield. And my charge ability. FK YAH GET SOME!! GET SOME!! *Slams head into wall.* http://media.photobucket.com/image/ceanataur%20shogun%20armor/darkangelwinx/ShogunCenataurArmor.jpg While we are dreaming I want a pet Nargacuga to scale. But that would break the game. Oblivion can't handle that much awesome. http://i43.tinypic.com/14o4t1x.jpg His wings are razorblades, he can accurately skewer you with his tail spikes from 100 yards away, he doesn't need to push you up against a wall, or fly around like pidgeon with down syndrome (Rathalos), he is in front, to the side, behind, above, and below you at the same time. His tail slap cracks the earth itself, his skin repels all but the sharpest blades... if you make him mad he turns into a woman at that time of the month. And then you are dead (His eyes even glow like molten lava like real life). http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/monsterhunter/images/thumb/b/bb/NargaArt.png/250px-NargaArt.png EDIT: Wish combat in Oblivion was like Monster Hunter, that would be so intense, especcially in first person.
  22. Because most sweaty nerds don't realize how attractive less skin can be. This is my favorite clothing mod, It is very sexy, but it doesn't make your Companion look like a tramp, and if I have a daughter in the future I wouldn't kill her if I saw her wearing this stuff. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19009 And I think the female version of the stealth armor in this Mod when the character is idle and isnt wearing the mask and hood is very attractive... and there isn't any skin below the neck. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8440 Leave some stuff to the imagination modders... this isn't supposed to be some white-boy japan-o-phile will-never-have-sex-in-his-life fetish game.
  23. I was starting the Mog-whats-his-face's quest (Daedra Lord), when I realized this wasn't something my character would do anymore... For a while he had over 800 infamy (I dunno how the flip that happened) and he even murdered a few people for farts and giggles and at least 20 other contract murders... But after "saving" the world he repented, started over, he is married, he stopped fighting in the arena, etc. He ended up doing the Daedra's Lord's bidding to prevent possible retribution to his wife. Anyways to the point... Sithis and the Night Mother had to have noticed that my character hasn't payed them a visit in several months. You don't just quit the Dark Brotherhood. I think it would be neat to have a quest that allows you to completely leave that behind, to cut the strings, of course Sithis won't like that and he will try to kill you... Sithis and the Night Mother are the strings... And they won't leave you alone unless you kill them or "win" your freedom some other way. For example assassins may randomly spawn after you wake up or your wait time is over, and you have to survive these attacks so many odd times before they send you a message that you are free, or you may have to kill your way to their heart... (Night Mother and/or Sithis) if you really wanted to put alot of effort into it maybe you have to enact a second purge, only this time there won't be anyone around to rebuild. Or it could be as simple as going to "listen" but enter the crypt and kill the Night Mother, I dunno. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: Anyways, just an idea.
  24. There is no weight limit... but I don't think you'd want to use them as permanent storage, just temporary loot holders until you get to a store. It depends on how advanced the CM Companion is... Your average Companion will always just wear what is "best" in their inventory, more advanced ones like Viconia will alter what they wear and what they fight with to fit the situation, including wearing clothes when you are in town. You may want to download this to store their gear and loot that you don't want them equipping at that point in time: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4065 Its called the Bag of Holding, and it is no more cheating then storing stuff in the CM Companion so... might as well. They will equip what has the "best" stats, that is the only time they will switch what they wear, assuming its not Viconia, the Witch Hunter, etc. It will not be highlighted, no.
