  1. And funny thing is that when I came back from Dragonreach after paying my bounty some NPCs were crouched around him looking concerned, but nobody said anything. Such a douchebag even RadiantAI doesn't care.
  2. After fighting my way through dragons, draugr, and the World-Eater himself, I return to Whiterun a hero. Everyone respects me. Guards are congratulating me. I'm an awesome towering Daedric-clad harbinger of destruction. Nazeem walks up. Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh what am I saying - of course you don't... Took that motherf***er's head clean off in one shot and paid my bounty off. Best 1000 gold I've spent all game.
  3. When you're wearing Ancient Nord armor: "That armor. it stinks of death! Have you been robbing graves again?" B....b..but I just forged it at the Skyforge 3 minutes ago!
  4. Dragon-riding Cavalry mod with horse combat Ability to start your own faction and define it (give it a name, a base, and determine allegiances and morality through some simple quests or dialogue) Use boats Persistent enemies that can chase you in/out of cells Immersion fixes to keep NPCs from talking out of turn or saying complete bulls***
  5. I know it doesn't match the concept, but you should beef up the thickness of the armor plating so that you get nice separation between the scaled elements on his knees, shoulders and hips. As they are they will blend together too much once normal mapped and textured. It will add polys to the model, but I think having them visibly protrude would make them pop out and enhance the armor.
  6. After glitch jumping to the top of another mountain (again) I was thinking that a terrain specific mod to add slipperiness would be a good idea. Snow should be somewhat slick, while ice and snow/water covered rocks should be very slipper. So basically you and your magical horse shouldn't be able to just run up the side of a mountain anymore. Would also be cool to add a chance to fall when fighting on ice. Could make for some very entertaining battles up north.
  7. Lydia keeps walking over the pressure point of a swing trap and "dying" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. At some point it became incredibly hilarious.
  8. The internal lighting is sometimes grossly inconsistent. There are spaces with candles and such which I think is ok, and I have my settings so that the unlit areas are dark and require a torch, but sometimes there are absurdly bright areas which are very ugly, like the Ratway outside of Esbern's door (super bloom). I'd rather see lighting kept low key throughout though, aside from mood lighting like skylights or fires. Some nice dreary ambient lighting + a torch with decent illumination would really increase the atmosphere in those long dungeons.
  9. Would be nice to give the Paarthurnax shouts to all dragons.
  10. You can also talk to the bar owner in the Bee and Barb (the argonian guy) who will point you towards the Ratway. But yeah, quests are too hamfisted in Skyrim. Especially the mariage proposal. "So you're interested in me?" "Yes, and you" "Yes" "MARRIED TOMORROW" uh... but when I say interested I mean as a mule...
  11. I wait an hour until 8:00 for Adriana to show up in Whiterun, and she's not there. Moments later she drops straight out of the sky next to the forge and looks at me like everything's normal.
  12. I've seen it on a few people's computers and there's always some banding, but then again the banding pattern was different on each one. I dunno, though I'd like a definitive answer too.
  13. Happens. Part of it is the monitor, with some monitors displaying banding on smooth gradients, but for the menu fog it's probably graphics enhancers. If you use ENB and any post-process sharpening you'll see really hideous banding. Just the price you pay for better in game graphics.
  14. Dragons resurrect if their souls aren't destroyed, so I'd say it's a good idea.
  15. So I'm sitting on a stupid amount of dragon souls that are completely useless, which got me thinking... What if you could release a dragon soul to temporarily boost skill performance, damage, armor, or whatever. I'm not entirely sure what the best usage of the soul would be in game, but it would certainly give meaning to having them. Additionally you could justify it as "using up" the soul, so that instead of releasing it back to be reincarnated, it is destroyed for good, just like if you use it to power a shout.
  16. If you eat human flesh it should increase your werewolf powers.
  17. Well, the dds is just one purple color, so that wouldn't work of course. If you're saving out a texture and it comes out like that perhaps the plugin is corrupted? Try reinstalling it or saving to tga and converting to dds with one of the available converters. Also check that there's nothing weird going on in your psd. Is there a purple layer of that color in your psd perhaps?
  18. Yeah, want this too, or some sort of ENB setting that would do this. The ENB series shaders are beautiful up close, but distant terrain and especially water look junky, plus at high points you can clearly see the end of the worldmap when looking north at the sea. Some extra fog and decreased view distances to obscure that kind of stuff would be great.
  19. So you're only swapping out the texture map dds? Post it up so we can check if there's anything wrong with it.
  20. Check if all your other maps are 2d texture as well?
  21. Use this: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1078 You can setup a file to match your ingame stats, do showracemenu and alter your character, and then restore your points.
  22. Save as 2d texture, not volume texture. (right below the DXT options)
  23. You could make it lore friendly by just sinking some Dwemer ruins. Those guys were badass, so they just made underwater cities for mysterious dwarf reasons. Can have a Dwemer shark-automaton.
  24. I think the combo system might be too much, but I agree with the others, even if I wouldn't use some of them. Additionally: Climb - let us climb those mountains damnit. You can already glitch jump to the top of almost all peaks and if you're riding a horse you can do it with ease. Put in a vertical crawl animation and let us scale those peaks without breaking immersion with glitch jumps.
  25. Bingo, i got it. It wasn't a tangent space problem, it was SF_Vertex_Color being checked under Shader Flags. Totally simple way to complicate a texture edit. :P Thanks for the help and the info on DDS formats, I'll save out to XT3 or five from now on.
