It´s taking a little longer because i´d like to include a quest, and also 3 tomes of books with the tale of the Death Dealer (with original illustratiosn made by myself and 2 friends). And this is my first MOD ever. I´ve been fan of the TES series since Oblivion, the endless posibilities that game offered me of "be who you want to be, do whatever you want to do". It was (and still is) a great feeling to have all those possibilities right in front of you, i was speechless the very first time i came out from the sewer, and there i was in front of a beautifull and vast landscape to expore, to conquer. One day i discovered the nexus, 20th December 2009, that very day i joined, and since then i´m a fan of many of the people who contribute whit their hard work making content of excellent quality, sharing their own version of the game, a true brotherhood. Skyrim is here and is a beautiful game, the vibe is envolving, the stethics are beautiful, it´s rought, tough, and bold. But the arrival of Skyrim has brought changes to the Modding Community that i can notice (and the elder moders can notice better). The modding comunity is becoming a trading market, the spirit of community is getting lost. I can see the behaviour of many members "i like it, give it to me!!!" not even offering feedback to the author of the mod. That´s why i decided to start working on my firs MOD ever. This mod is settled in two principals: Honor and Respect. HONOR: Honor to the godfather of fatasy art, Frank Frazetta, in whose work is based not only the TES, especially Skyrim, but must of the games and all fantasy culture in general. And ofcourse Honor tho Bethesda team, for creating one of the best series in history of videogames and fantasy lore. RSPECT: Respect to the moders who amazed me with their work back in time and i admire: jojjo, reaper9111, Painkiller97, jaysus, apachii, jatneosen, and many, many more very talented people. The MOD This mod is inspired on one of the most iconic characters of fantasy lore. The Death Dealer. One day a friend told me: "don´t you think the DD would fit right in Skyrim" and i answered: "no, Skyrim would fit right on the Death Dealer". The work of Frank Frazetta defined my life, my taste in music, astethics, and even women (yes i like´em curvy ;D ). That´s why i decided to make this mod. To bring the original Warrior of Death to terrorize the land of Skyrim. All started porting the original mesh model of "jatneosen" from his Oblivion mod to Skyrim, i posted some images and it all began. Then one guy left a comment in one of my images: "hey dude, you should make the axe too!". But i never made a 3D model before, but i tought "hey why not?" so i got 3DS max on my PC and made the axe, then i went to photoshop and made the texture, and the next day i had my axe into Skyrim, researching in the NEXUS, and all over internet, i made it. Since i´m not very skilled on 3D-modeling yet, i was looking arround the NEXUS and i found this "Beyond the Realms of Death by Painkiller_Rider" ( http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=40837 ) and i noticed the good work this guy made with the meshes, so i wrote to him and asked for permission to use his great meshes in my MOD, he accepted, and for that i can´t thank you enough Painkiller97. So this MOD keeps growing, i´m adding a quest to it, several brand new items, 2 versions of the DD Helmet, and much more. I´m open to your coments and opinions on this, i´d like to know what do you all think about the mod and how it could be better. This mod will be an EXCLUSIVE TO THE NEXUS, to suport this great brotherhood, and contribute to preserve the true spirit of the modding community. More details of the actual MOD in this thread soon.
