  1. I keep getting a notice about a new version and when I close vortex I get a message about updating the program... but then it pops up an error and says it can not update try again later. I tried to download the installer from the Nexus links and it goes so far and then says something about can not automatically close vortex, close it manually and retry. There IS no copy of Vortex running at that time, and nothing allows the installer to progress. The version I have installed at the moment is 1.7.4. Can anyone help with this issue?

  3. Yeah, I have used the history to recover most of the mods I had before. The problem is that I don't know if this was a mod from the nexus or if it was a mod downloaded from another site OR if it was an .ini tweak or something of that nature. Either way, it isn't a mod in my mod history. Also, I should point out that what I'm talking about is the 3rd person animation for when you start moving, you'll go in a different direction than your facing or at least it seems that way, and it's like your character is drunk or something and gets all start one way then spin and go another way... if that makes sense. (I believe this is why I'm having a hard time finding anything: my description of it sucks).
  4. I've tried searching for something like this all over the net but I must be phrasing the search wrong if it is out there... I had to reinstall windows and thus fallout 4 from scratch a few months ago and when I did I lost a lot of mods due to loosing the metadata in Vortex and not being able to track down some of the mods. I swear one of the mods I had previously was a mod that changed the movement of Fallout 4 to match that of Skyrim in 3rd person... That is when I move there's not that sloppy 'jooking' sort of start one direction then sort of spin and go the way I want... Does anyone know of a mod that corrects the 3rd person movement to not be so sloppy? I swear I had found a mod that addressed this issue but I can not find it now. I just want a more direct 3rd person movement that doesn't make me sick while I play. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. I need to throw my hat into this as well... CBBE was working just fine with bodyslide, but then all of a sudden, like the others, the sliders affect the armor, but the base body beneath doesn't change at all.. And then in game the armor looks.. Well, it looks like a set of armor made for Kate Upton being worn by Milla Jovovich. This even extends to clipping if the sliders are moved extreme enough. Example: Breasts. If you move the breast size slider the armor goes in and out as it should, but the base body breasts stay the same, and if you go too small on the slider, the body clips through the armor... Hope this helps add some info that might help get a solution...

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had thought about doing a 'glowing fauna' type mod on par with some of the other mods like Grasslands that has everything overgrown but instead of just green pretty lush trees and grasses etc, have it more like the forest from that show The 100: Hope someone might think this an interesting enough mod to pick up.   7. Anyone feel up to making a CBBE (bodyslide) HDT/Physics enabled version of this armor? Preferably so that what's beneath that skirt can be modular? http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/109/b/2/longship_armoury___rhea_by_warrenlouw-d624kry.jpg The breastplate should be just that: a breastplate so no need for BBP or phsyics on that (bodyslide would be fantastic though)... Be nice if the skirt billowed using phsyics but I'll take what I can get... :) Thanks!
  8. Is there any update on this? All of a sudden Breezehome's door now reads as [][][][][][] as well as some save games in the load game menu.... All seem to be from the same character (the saves), but I don't know why all of a sudden my one character's files are all [][][] instead of "QuickSave" or "AutoSave"... I deleted the Strings files and then checked for errors in STEAM and it redownloaded them, but the problem persists. Anyone have any suggestions for this sort of error?
  9. Hi all, I have two player home requests if anyone would be interested: 1) I was wondering if anyone has converted Ilinalta's Deep into a player dwelling yet? I thought I'd read something about it having been done some time ago but I can't find the mod... at least using Ilinalta's Deep for the search terms.   10. Hi all. I was wondering if anyone might have or help me in creating a true alabaster complexion for use on Skyrim female models? The effect I'm looking for would be similar to Image 1 below. This is a shot of the villain from Dark Shadows btw.. I'm trying to build an npc and perhaps race out of a concept inspired by this character but I need to get as white a skin tone as possible. I worked a little on another race's skin texture and got it pretty close, but it's more blue and gray than white with variation/shadowing. Image 2 shows another shot of the character with cracked porcelain effect. I might consider using that as a 'scar' option on a player race and maybe on an npc too, but my primary concern atm is getting the pale porcelain coloring down. I have two requests (atm at least): 1) I second a request for the Blood and Ice Queen armor linked above! :) Also, the Lineage II stuff might be interesting for that matter.... 2) Miranda Richardson's armor from ME2.... I know it' s mentioned elsewhere to have a port of her into DA, but I'm more thinking along the lines of armor (tintable preferably) that resembles hers .... I know the TNT enArmored models have a texture that uses the hex pattern motif .... Might not be too hard to piece together existing mods to recreate her body armor...
  12. The *_0t.dds file is what's needed but that can be extracted from the .erf IF I could open said ERF.... Whenever I try to do so in the toolset it asks me to select the erf version and no matter what I tell it I get told that I can not open that file because the toolset can't read the erf source.... Are there any 3rd party .erf tools that can open the DLC erf files?
  13. Hi all, Can someone provide the files for Maric's Blade from RTO? I would like to tweak it's tint/coloring but can't seem to locate the files necessary to do so.... Looking to swap the blade color to black and the runes color to red.... Thanks!
  14. What about the .uti resources? Do they need extracted from the erf? If so, do I then need to import them somehow into my module so that the script knows where these items are and so that they can be exported along with all of the other custom items I have created and or added this way? I tried just adding the names of th e.uti files to my script and reexported the script itself but no luck on game load.... So wondering if there's another step I'm missing? :) Thanks for the help btw!!!!!
  15. Hi all, I have a custom item loader script which calls .uti tags and adds them to your character's inventory. Is there a way to use such a script to add items from addons or other custom mod content that doesn't come with builder-to-builder packages? Example: Shadow Warden Armor..... GREAT mod! However, I can't get it to add the armor to my inventory since the time I first installed it. It added it once and now it won't add it for any other characters...... SO I was hoping that I could use the .erf or something out of the addin directory to allow me to insert the armor into my custom item loader script so that I know it will load on game_load if my character doesn't already have a copy of the armor in inventory..... I'm not trying to steal someone else's work, I just want to create one load script that contains all the equipment I want to load on new characters that I know works and won't clash with other mods/addons.... Thanks.
