I couldn't find anything like it, but I was hoping some could make a mod that shows the Pip-Boy menu as an onscreen overlay, rather than having the player's arm come up to the screen. I'd like to play the game with the Pip-Boy unequipped through the console, but unequipping it also removes your ability to even see that menu. Or at the very least, maybe make a more compact version of the Pip-Boy?

I do have Safety Load, and getting a little ahead of me as far as SKSE is concerned. I didn't even know it could be configured, so whatever the default is, that's what I'm running on.

I've been able to enter the city again as long as I'm only running Skyrim without any other windows open. I figure it might just be a VRAM issue. The problem now is that now I'm crashing outside of Solitude, near the East Empire Company. It happens no matter what I try. I've cleaned up a save using SaveTool, but I'm gonna try disabling JK's Skyrim even though I'm completely capable of entering the city proper. Whenever I get near Windhelm, my game will just CTD. I just recently had to do a clean install of the game because of this problem. I'd read somewhere that the problem stemmed from the Sheogorath quest in Solitude. While I can't remember the exact details, it had something to do with the small coliseum area in that quest and the way the game loads the Palace of Kings. Well, after reinstalling the game and all of my mods, I was able to enter Windhelm again. I haven't done the quests yet the problem is happening again. Does anyone have any clue what might be causing this? Update: I restarted from a previous save and it happened again, around the same time. This seems to happen during the main quest, between the time when I enter the Ratway for Esbern and on the way to Karthspire. No SaveTool this time, either. Anyone else gotten this before?

So I'm getting these buggy aiming animations in my game. Specifically my character's hand's are misaligned in first-person view. While dual-wielding, my arms are off to the left side, aiming doesn't align in first-person with the reticle and when aiming in third-person, aiming all the way up or down causes my character's upper body to clip through the lower body. I'd been using the Enhanced Camera and Proper Aiming, along with Scoped Bows, mods without a problem before. I tried cleaning my save file after getting constant CTDs for seemingly no reason at an earlier point, but I'm still getting them even after uninstalling them both. Could it have some to do with me using SaveTool to clean my save file? I suspect this might be the reason since I'd been running all of those mods for days with no problem at all.

Alright, thanks. Didn't know that about Wyre Bash. That seems really useful. I always make sure everything is up to date and I just delete save files before I test out Skyrim anyway, since I never actually do anything other than the intro. I'll check out the STEP guide, too.

So let's just get this out of the way. I'm a completely helpless babby when it comes to modding Skyrim so bear with me. I've only started about a week and a half ago, haven't even properly played the game because I've spent that past week and a half trying and failing to install mods. I've got a good grasp of it by now, but I've run into a new problem. I'm able to create a new game just fine... that is assuming there are no previous saves. If I try to start a new game with a previous game already saved, I'll CTD immediately after the smoky loading screen. In some cases, even if I start a new game without a prior save file, I'll CTD after I create a character. I should probably note that I'm using Arthmoor's Alternate Start Mod, though this problem only started after I had installed Gandaganza's Realistic Boat Bobbing. I went back and uninstalled the last few mods I installed with it, but still the problem persists. I've already tried deactivating all plugins and the game worked as fine as you would expect the vanilla game to work. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with them game just trying to load too many scripts at the same time, maybe making the save files too big, or there's a problem with my load order. I'd really rather not rearrange my load order unless I absolutely need to. Last time I was installing mods, I loaded up LOOT to fix my load order and it resulted in big, fat CTD on startup when it was just fine prior to LOOT messing everything up. Any help would be appreciated. I've been up all night on a continuous cycle of loading up a handful of mods and then starting the game up to make sure everything was alright. I'd really rather not start over with a clean install.... again... for like the fifth time....
