Left a comment on the mod 3 days ago and there's no response yet. I'd rather do the mod myself so that I have a chance at learning the language. There's a lot of separate files/sections in there, and while I was able to make a custom mannequin, I wasn't able to (apparently) get everything in the right places in the scripts to get it to work.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I've tried editing the existing mannequins esp in order to get more of the female mannequins, but unfortunately, not having the greatest of luck in doing so. What I'd like to do, is to be able to place a total of 24 of the female variety. Would someone be able to tell me what files/scripts/etc and the coding necessary to add in an additional 16 blank female mannequins? As opposed to the current 8 that come with clothing options already on them. I was thinking adding another line with a name like "Blank Slate" to the bottom of the list that would allow placement of 16, as opposed to the singular placement of the existing ones. Thanks for any assistance.

Dunno if there's one already out there, or if it's even possible, but I'd like a way to change the hair styles of NPCs in-game. As opposed to doing it in the GECK, since I'm very much afraid of borking something through the GECK.

Hello again. Just wondering if there's a tutorial or something available that would tell me how to go about modifying an existing sorter plugin. I'm using the one in RR Companions Vault, but it's leaving a lot of stuff behind (custom weapons and clothing/armor). I'd like to be able to go in and add stuff to its sort methodology, but don't know how. Is there an easy (relatively easy) way of doing so? Thanks!

Edit - Crud, sorry, accidently posted this in the wrong section. Move along, nothing to see here.

Missing some textures/meshes
TweekedOut replied to TweekedOut's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Would that also account for Sallah? It's always something easy isn't it? Turns out I didn't have the COMMtextures.bsa and COMMmain.bsa extracted. Anywho, thanks for that. :) -

Hello all. Wondering if someone could help me diagnose a problem. I have no idea what mod(s) affect these weapons, so I dunno what to replace/open up. Getting the red diamond/exclamation point when I try to equip the following weapons (they also have the PipOS error thingie): .44 Magnum .44 Magnum Snub Nose 5mm Assault Rifle Beretta 92FS Blunt Machete Browning M1911 Butchers Hatchet Chinese Commando Rifle Chinese Pistol Snub Nose European Assault Rifle Heavy Pre-War Submachine Gun J-Tec Laser PDW Mk 1 J-Tec Laser Pistol Mk 1 J-Tec Military Laser PDW Mk 1 J-Tec Rusty Laser PDW Mk 1 J-Tec AJ-47 J-Tec G77 Raider J-Tec G77 Sentinel J-Tec G77 Vanguard J-Tec Morning Light Mk 1 J-Tec Wolverine Mk II (I've got 2 entries for Molotov Cocktail. One shows up, one gives the missing texture/mesh thing) Old Fire Axe Pointed Machete Pre-War High-Precision Rifle Pre-War High-Precision Submachine Gun Pre-War Kukri Pre-War Rifle Pre-War Submachine Gun Scoped 5mm Assault Rifle Scoped European Assault Rifle Scoped Pre-War High-Precision Rifle Scoped Pre-War Rifle Semi-Automatic Pre-War High-Precision Rifle Semi-Automatic Pre-War Rifle Semi-Automatic Scoped Pre-War Rifle Silenced & Scoped 5mm Assault Rifle Silenced & Scoped European Assault Rifle Silenced 10mm Submachine Gun Silenced 5mm Assault Rifle Silenced Beretta 92FS Silenced Browning M1911 Silenced Chinese Pistol Silenced European Assault Rifle Survival Knife Worn Pre-War High-Precision Legionary Rifle Worn Pre-War Legionary Rifle Worn Pre-War Rifle Worn Pre-War Scoped Rifle I imagine there are more weapons that are messed up, but that's what I've got for now. I'm guessing that they are related in one or two mod packs, given the naming conventions. If I knew the name, I'd probably be able to get it fixed. And then, I'm also missing the body texture/mesh for the roaming caravan guy, Sallah. His guards also display the same error. The heads, hands, and weapons are visible though. Next post will be my load order in FOMM.
-
Load order means that certain things come before others in the way the mod manager activates them. If you look in FOMM, files will say that they have Masters. If you have say, Joe.esp but it has Fallout3.esm and Bill.esp as 'Masters', that means that Fallout3.esm and Bill.esp need to be loaded before Joe.esp. If not, it'll crash. If something has a master listed, but you don't have it installed, it'll crash. And then there are some mods that just plain conflict with each other. If both are loaded, then it'll crash. Some mods have you choose one of several ESPs to use. If you try to use all of them, it'll crash. And then, you have mods that overwrite each other. Take Project Beauty and Lings Pretty Things/Finer Things/Coiffure. If you load Project Beauty after those, PB will overwrite the stuff that is supposed to happen in LPT. http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/...-1255474628.JPG That is a comparison in the load order of the two. Edit - Think of it like getting up in the morning and getting ready. Do you put on your pants then jump in the shower? Or do you shower first?

Is it possible to have multiple body mod clothings...
TweekedOut replied to TweekedOut's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
I think there may have been some disconnect between what I was originally asking and what got answered. My fault I guess. Take for example, Persona & Secret outfits. http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8911 http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5028 They exist for Type 3 and Exnems. I'm guessing that installing one will overwrite the other and/or same id number or something. Is there any way that the file paths/id number/whatever could be altered such that both body type clothings could exist in the game at the same time? With a name change to like Exnem Persona or Type 3 Secret. Maybe through a BSA or ESP that would allow a directory in meshes and textures called "Exnem" or "Type 3" with the appropriate clothing/armors put into that directory? This would be something that I could potentially do. I'm not asking for others to make new meshes or textures or to convert say the Type 3 Persona into a Nile Persona. -
Bigger left arm problem...
TweekedOut replied to DireVixen's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
This probably won't work, but have you tried installing to a different directory? I don't know why, but it fixed my crashing problem. Maybe it'll fix this. I did however, at one point, have an oversized hand issue when using the Pipboy5000 mod. Think I fixed it by installing the Type 3 Smaller Female Hands mod. But can't recall correctly as that was about 9 problems and a dozen different installs ago. -
OP, try installing to something other than the default directory (when installing, choose custom install rather than easy), if possible. I was having a problem with it not even getting to the title slides and locking up. I defragged and installed to a different hard drive and now, I'm at least getting to the New/Load/etc screen. Dunno about beyond that though.

Game crashes at start up, even after reinstall.
TweekedOut replied to Speedstripe's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
I'm having somewhat of a similar problem. Win XP SP2 though, as opposed to Win 7. An uninstall of FOOK2, FOMM, then the game proper. Deleted the remainder of the files in the F3 directory (DLC stuff). Reinstall, put in DLC, patch to 1.7. Did this several times. Now, I'm getting a Windows error message on the patchings and it ends up shutting down fallout3.exe. The game hangs at a black screen right before the title slides. No music, most times no program manager on hitting CAD, and requires a hard reboot. I've run CCleaner and Auslogics registry cleaner. Fixed all the problems there. It is really weird and it's really bothering me. I want to play, but this problem is making me very mad and frustrated, that it continues to happen and seems to be getting worse. I'm not about to do a clean install of Windows. No game is worth the time and trouble of doing so. Edit - Hmm...I don't know what's going on now. Nothing has changed, but this time I a) defragged my secondary drive and b) installed to that secondary drive. Now, I can at least get the title slides to come up, granted I haven't put in the DLC packs yet, but it is at version 1.7. Nothing else has changed. OP, try putting it on something other than the C:\Program Files\Bethesda\Fallout 3. Try a different drive, if you have one. -

TweekedOut replied to TweekedOut's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
right in plane site on the FEM page... http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10235 Does that also mean, say Tiny Demon Outfit or Chain Domina, is also adjusted? I basically had to start over (again) tonight. Three to four hours of trying to get mods lined up and the program didn't even make it to the loading screen. Sticking with FEM, Fook 2, Lings Coiffure/Pretty Things/Finer Things, some radio extenders, and some companions. It's too bloody much work going through the 80 bazillion clothing/armor mods. Uninstalled everything, deleted the remainder, reinstalled F3, Pitt, OA, PL, and BS. -
Is it possible to have multiple body mod clothings...
TweekedOut replied to TweekedOut's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
I do get what you're saying, but I think you're answering a question I'm not asking. FEM (apparently) allows one to change the body of NPCs/possibly the PC (not entirely sure, haven't used it yet) on the fly. Meaning you aren't stuck with everyoneb being Type 3 for example. It's got a BSA for each of the body types (Nile, Naouak, Malos, etc). Ideally, I'd like to have packs that have all the Exnem stuff, for example, that are somehow differentiated from the Type 3, but allow both Type 3 & Exnem in the game at the same time. That way, if I change an NPC body to Exnem, I have the capability to put stuff on her that fits that body type. But if I have another that is a Type 3, I can put the Type 3 outfit on her. The outfits being separate items in storage (different ID numbers?). -
Hello all. First post and all that. Ok, this might a bit difficult to explain, and probably isn't possible. Take an outfit like the Bruiser's Outfit. It is available in both Exnem and Type 3. Is it possible to somehow make a BSA or something (I don't know, I've never done modding before) that puts both items into the game? I'm planning on using FEM with all but the UF body types, but can only see getting in outfits for one type. Also, is it possible to merge basically all the Type 3 outfits, or the BABE/Exnem/Nile/etc outfits into a single mod for each specific body type? Dunno if what I'm wanting to do is understandable or not, but thanks for looking.
