  1. after seeing what modders can do with graphics in games like crysis and gtaiv, i have no doubt that they'll do the same for skyrim... hopefully
  2. You would think since most people bought skyrim for pc (according to their poll) and a large percentage of those pre-orderd from steam, that they would come up with a way to provide those customers with a map. Like, have steam mail one to our bill address? - but alas this is reality.
  3. I'm at a stable 230kb/s can't complain, should have it by 4am
  4. probably the same, but there was an awesome mod for that in oblivion.
  5. in Steam go to library - skyrim - there's a big preload button
  6. This is what is going on in my mind right now... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9vSxJJDbNU Skyrim's where its at Vern...
  7. that is awesome, lets try discombobulated (awesomer?)
  8. haha, saddly enough these forums don't count.
  9. If I throw Fallout in the mix, thanks to the Nexus I'm somewhere in the 1200 range
  10. I've been doin pretty good in my league all season, but now I just dont seem to care. Are there any other FFB'rs out there whose season will go up in smoke because of skyrim? (maybe the worst thread of all time)
  11. oooh... tough call. I'd at least get the final exams out of the way, then you can preemptively ruin x-mas break and the spring semester with an overly in depth skyrim addiction.
  12. I participated in a couple of these at an ebgames (gamestop)...years ago (dang i'm old). I never saw anyone get out of line, I think it's mostly because the realization of "it's just a game" hits everyone when they get to the store. During the Halo 2 release the manager who was a friend of mine stood in the back of my truck with a microphone coaxing people over from the wal-mart parking lot, lot of fun
  13. yeah I know, the "activated" line got me confused.
  14. so you successfully pre-loaded off d2d?
  15. jump over to d2d, you can preload it right now.
  16. http://www.direct2drive.com/3/11413/product/Buy-The-Elder-Scrolls-V:-Skyrim-Download?hph Well I didn't see this coming, D2D is offering a pre-load, right now. steam...? Steam..? STEAM!!! but d2d severs are hellishly slow compared to steam so, no regrets here.
  17. the teeth are too white (dang it im doin it already)
  18. Haha, I had to learn Excel earlier this year for work, I new it would pay off eventually. ...too bad the link don't work.
  19. exactly, a companion that will do just what you want them to (well most of the time). They won't argue about where to go or what to do, or complain because you have a better weapon, so on and so on and so on and when you finally can't take it any more and cut off their head, they won't through a can of beer at your tv and jerk the controller out of the jack so hard it pulls the whole system off the shelf. so... NO. No co-op, No online co-op, No mmo, No multiplayer of any kind. These single player rpg's are really the best and last of their kind.
  20. For all of those who don't/have never used mods... 1.) Thats kind of what this site is about... so... 2.) Try one. 3.)...just one. 4.) If you have a PS3 or Xbox why not enjoy sitting in a nice recliner or on a sofa, mods are the only reason I cramp up in my uncomfortable desk chair for months on end. 5.) I am buying a new chair. 6.) Almost anything you can think of that the game needs, including bug fixes that the official patches will never address, will be available. 7.) You can extend and enhance the game indefinitely. Just this week a 40hr+ Quest for Oblivion popped up for DL.... 1,002,458.) you guys have no idea what you are missing.
  21. I guess we'll have to wait, but that's a great idea. You could incorporate stamina in there as well, overall though I'd want the decrease to be fairly slow to give you enough time to crawl to some aid. Either way, I'm sold. :wallbash: 2 days
