I have same issue. Deleted everything belonged to CK and Skyrim SE... even NMM. Reinstalled it several times but still getting same message without any mods installed at all. Every other NPC in game is fine. The ones I tried to edit turns up with black/dark faces. Only one other mod has black faces, Extended Whiterun. Using Win8. Hope someone can offer a solution. :/
