  1. I felt like I should post this because I was unable to find any fixes anywhere online. Here's a description of the bug from the skyrim UESP wiki: "Follower walking slowly with weapon, magic or bow readied but not attacking Sometimes a follower will act as if they are holding an invisible two handed sword or are about to fire an arrow or cast a spell but will take no action. This may happen regardless of reloading saves or restarting the game. There is no known fix except to remove Skyrim, install it again and start over." I had this bug with Cicero - my favorite follower, and after searching the web and trying just about anything I finally found the surprisingly simple solution: Simply click on your follower, and type "recycleactor", and they will re-appear nearby fixed! Make sure you take any items you've given your follower though, since it resets their inventory. I found it amusing that Cicero had a sweetroll and a carrot in his inventory after resetting.
  2. That's exactly what I was thinking, this shouldn't be too difficult since NPC characters can do it too. It's pretty sad really, when I take screenshots next to one of my followers, my character feel as if she doesn't belong, while the followers appear pretty lifelike, my char is more like poorly made android. :(
  3. It really bothers me that the player character in Skyrim doesn't show even the slightest sign of being alive, asides from regular breathing and minor idle animation, the character just stands and stares into nothingness, regardless of the situation or the environment. The most I've seen was my Khajit character sometimes frowning in mid battle and the expression sometimes gets "stuck" on her, but asides from that I haven't seen my Breton female even do that. Killshots, pain, people talking... The character's face remains completely blank and keeps staring into the void. This issue really started to vex me after a while, specially since followers and NPC in general follow you with their gaze, why isn't the player character doing the same? I remember the player character in Oblivion used to do that, why such a step down in Skyrim? It feels as if Bethesda was in such a rush to release the game they forgot to add this (important!) feature (among many other things). Something as "small" as following other people with your gaze can make a huge difference to how your character feels. I really wish I had more knowledge to dig around and find out how this is working myself, but I really don't even know where to start. Hopefully someone in the modder community has the knowledge and willingness to change this.
  4. I used to be able to see both my 1h sword and dagger on my character's hip, side by side after installing the "No more dangling swords" mod (see pic), but it just randomly stopped showing at some point... Quite odd. I really wish there would be a specific mod that does that already.
  5. Most people use different textures or highly contrasted skin tones to make their Dremora character look good, but that doesn't really make them look good in my opinion, it simply makes the ugliness less visible. :P I made this vid to show how you can change a Dremora (male) character's default harsh features and make them appear much nicer, without using custom textures (since I never found any that I liked), or face altering mods (that make them appear too human-like). Hopefully some Dremora players out there will find this useful.
