  1. Which version? I left a message that v292 is not working --try v291 Stand Alone, it works..
  2. This is the body I use and I also don't understand why no one makes clothing for it. (I sure can't.)
  3. Shoot me if I'm wrong but I thought Enhanced Economy does that--I use it but allow all sellers to buy from me so that I'm not limited.
  4. @tamujiin I agree with you completely--just finishing adding these last 6 I downloaded today. (Oh, look, someone just posted a new one while I was writing this---that's different looking...)
  5. @David Basher The sex-change was performed without complications. Perfect! Thank you.
  6. In other peoples mods I've tried changing the sex of different NPCs in the Construction Set. I can do it just fine. Save the new face just fine etc etc. (I don't touch the special scripts etc.) For example there's this Count that I want to change into a Countess. I've overwirtten the same esp and/or I've made a new esp but the results are always the same: 'Joe's' name becomes 'Mary' but the sex of the npc doesn't change once I go back into the game. I know for a fact that I could do it in Morrowind without any problems--but can't manage it in Oblivion. What's the secret to getting this right?
  7. My suggestions for someone starting new (Subject to change as updates come along): 4 unofficial patches: unofficial oblivion patch v32, unofficial oblivion patch update v324, unofficial Shivering patch v140, unofficial Official mods patch v15 BOSS, OBMM (self installer) plus upgrade over it with OBMMex, obse20 or higher, Archive Invalidation, Wrye Base v291 (beta stand a lone version), Tweak Oblivion exe (this removes borders, music, waving grass and kitchen sinks etc) And, to stop all those crashes: Oblivion Crash Prevention System for OBSE (weOCPS), Fast Exit, Oblivion Stutter Remover, For 'saves': StreamLined. And 'Silent Voice' if you're a slow reader. TES4LODGen so you can see things in the distance. There's a few things for you to look up--mostly under 'utilities'. Should you do them all right now? Sooner or later you'll need them or most of them--but I slowly added them over the years :wallbash: as I figured out why my game wouldn't play. I also hear that checkers can be a lot of fun to play...hope that helps. PS: Some things don't work with Steam I've heard--have the disks myself. (Someone else might be able to add to that point to save you a headache.) Most of all--just have fun.
  8. Japanese Round Mansion Can't find it, can't see it on here (but I bet it is here.): It's near Anvil (as I remember) round, hugh area, you can't get into it across the drawbridge at all (you have to swim around to the side/back and go through the water garden to get in--then you can lower the drawbridge.) Unique paintings all over the place, two towers in back and a ship (or two.) And free to own. Ring a bell? (PS: I hit 'add new topic' just before this instead of 'add reply'--I don't see it anywhere so I guess I'm safe. ) EDIT: Guess I wasn't so safe after all...
  9. I use 'Carry Four Times More Loot'. It's just easier in the long run. Made in 2006--lot of old mods are good mods. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7515
  10. I had that problem when I updated my graphics card: You need to go into you video card setup (NOT Oblivion game) and change it from 'best performance' to 'best quality'. Hope that helps.
  11. Funny thing I found in high frame rated areas is that looking at the ground speeds me right up. Enjoy your feet.
  12. I know how you feel: I gave up on hairstyles a long time ago. Just wear a helmet--really! Wrye Bash is absolutely necessary to save your sanity--it's colour-coded--and has saved my game many, many times. Good luck. PS: Get the Wrye Bash that's self contained.
  13. QUOTE: "GingerTom, if you read the article, you can figure that out for yourself." LHammonds To you, LHammonds, for your information I did read the article, and, secondly I was pointing out the nonsense of it. As Grocho Marx said: "I don't want to be a member of a club that would have me as a member." This ia another bad idea you people have come up with. (You're getting a lot of them lately.) It's just one step from 'white people can read this part of the site' and 'gay people and blacks can go elsewhere.' How's AlienSlof, by-the-way.
