Have you toggled all the parts the armor is supposed to "cover" in the item window in CS? Like "upper body", "lower body", "hand" and "head"? Check that first, it might help. If that does not do the trick, Open it in Nifskope again and check the NiNodes. If you copy pasted the boots from just a "bottom" to a complete body mesh or vice versa, you will need the "foot" Nodes for it to work. If all else fails, copy and paste the boots in again. and make sure that the boods and the greaves are actually connected somehow. Finally, one more advice: create a test esp for your armor and ad an "armor tester" NPC. Put the armor into his/her inventory in the character window and toggle the "full view" preview. That way you will be able to see if your player character is missing important body parts before booting up the game :)

problem with Tera_HumanArmor_F16 armor
chakaru11 replied to Balkhan1's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Aaah, the well known "boobs to infinity" bug :) The F16 is indeed rigged to a custom skeleton, so downloading this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27945 and overwriting the skeleton again should do the trick. Should the armor need BBB and still cause this bug, this might help: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33335 But usually, the original Maximum compatibility skeleton does the trick. -
Better Cities, how necessary is it?
chakaru11 replied to Reaverdude's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Morning ^^ If I remember correctly, a lot of the props and decorations in the Better Cities can be toggled on or off using an ingame menu right after you installed it. That way you can customize almost every town. But in the end it depends on which version you download I guess. There are several "Light" versions out there that don't clutter the cities too much and reduce the insane FPS drop you can encounter visiting the cities. I which I could tell you that I installed it and loved it, but I always used it in combination with Open Cities, which makes it a whole different experience. Even without Open cities the Better Cities are beautiful though, especially the many small corners and the attention to detail are great. -
@BK2011: The armor in the picture is one of the armors from Hentai Mania 1, but am not sure if it is actually used in the mod or just a recource. I think Jonas66 is right and it is Sorrow, but it's a long time ago that I played the mod. You should be able to find it after downloading the mod, just click through the meshes in the "armors" folder. @Barea100: Yep, those are Maton's 3_bows.

@Septfox: The eyes look like something Stephen / Ren made himself, I have only seen them on the screenshots in his blog and nowhere else. About the hair in your screenshot: as far as I know that hair was never finished before the blog was closed down. If you look closely you can see that part of the hair is still sticking through the face and it has zero transparency as of yet. If I remember correctly, it only ever appeared as a preview in the "x117" section on his blog. @bk2011: I might be totally wrong here, but to me it looks like it actually IS the Lop ears Elf head, but with edited face parameters using the Construction set and with high rez/shiny textures. It could be the XEO head though, but the nose and eye shape look more like the Lop Ears head.

Oh wow >.< I thought I had checked all the pose mods before posting this, but it's totally possible that I just don't have the posemod that includes this. Edit: damn, that's what I get for mot refreshing the site before posting. Thank you ziitch and geechan! Sigh. They sure look awesome though.

@Nexus856: Uuuuh, that looks a lot like a direct rip from a game - so I am afraid it won't be available for the public? Edit: Now I am looking for something myself XD Take a look: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/2155/ups14876.th.jpg These are NOT the daedric crescent blades you can download here on the net, I have those and they look very different and are a lot smaller. So, my question is: are those rips? Or are they available somehow/somewhere?

What the - holy SQL error. I posted this hours ago and it shows up NOW? After two more pages have been posted? Please ignore this post :( Sorry.

Actually, that thing is called "mixed armor_01" and on that particular site, but some of the links for it were removed. Try googeling it first, I bet one of the japanese blogs you stumble upon links you to the right file. And yes, Champon is the name of the race which is a lot like the lop ears elves, but with it's own head and mouth mesh. The first armor in your post looks like a mash up of the Dancing Shadow Rose armor and the Queens armory. EDIT: ARGH. Sorry, I did not see that the question had already been answered. Kick me.

Mhm, if it is for females, try the coat from the Zombie Hunter Outfit, it was uploaded here recently. It's not a trenchcoat but if you know your way around nifskope, you can add it to almost every outfit. Another alternative would be to google the female version of Dante's outfit from Devil May Cry. I've seen it a few days ago and it has as descent trenchcoat. It's not black, but texture recoloring is a matter of a few minutes.
-
That is actually Nero's outfit from DMC4, not Dante's. But that doesn't really matter, since I've been searching for this armor mod for a while and it's nowhere to be found. I've seen it on SHY a few times, but I guess it's a direct rip from the game, so I doubt it's legally obtainable.

The "sky city" is actually part of the "Romuska Fantasy Store" mod, but you have to play through the first dungeon to get the key to open the door to get there. If you don't want that, VanillaBeans also has an older mod called "Romuska Sky Garden" that only has the sky city and not the store mod and dungeons.

Actually, that Sun armor is floating around in two versions. The one from asian blogs is a one piece armor and the quality is not very good, the textures are blurry and the meshes are rather flat. The second version is from Anvil Bay, it's a two piece armor and the quality is a lot better.

@Eweyr: I NEVER meant to say that you are an idiot! o_O Not on the least! But a lot of people seem to shrink away from those hairs, simply because they are from Peggyzone. The legal threats her lawyer posted on her site are ridicolous at best, but still manage to scare a lot of people. Like I said, it is still ripped content, but the whole pay site thing is nothing to worry about.
-
Just a little heads up to the people who still think that the hairs by Stephen Kang are illegal to download: As far as I know he has asked permission for all free hairs he converted - and about the Pay stuff from Peggyzone... Google a site called "paysites must be destroyed". It is a site that offers sims2 and sims3 pay files for free, referring to the "EA TOOLS END USER LICENSE" and "The Sims 3 EULA for retail game". They are both posted there on the site and are an interesting read for those interested. In short: it does not matter what kind of custom content you create for the Sims 2 and 3, EA holds all rights and it is forbidden to sell custom content for the sims 2 and 3 in exchange for money. Paysites try to work around that by offering special Custom Content for "supporters" or "donators" (in fact that is the only reason why these pay sites are not taken down by EA), but the fact that they sell this stuff remains the same. And this is also the reason why PeggyZone or other paysites for the sims never even attempted to take the "paysites must be destroyed" website down - because their threats hold no legal weight. Believe me, I have been a modder for the sims2 for YEARS and the only thing Peggy could harrass you for is using her textures, since she created those using third party programms like Photoshop for example. But meshes? You might create those using Milkshape, Blender or other programs, but in the end you always need Sims2 / 3 related tools which are property of EA Games. Of corse the fact remains that these hairs are ripped content and that you can not offer these for download on the Nexus. But worrying about the fact that they are originally from sims 2/3 paysites? Don't even bother.

Your Most Frustrating Oblivion Moments
chakaru11 replied to Spl1nt3rC3ll's topic in Oblivion's Spoilers
One of the most frustrating things in Oblivion in my oppinion? That horses report crimes. What the hell? There is NO ONE around seeing me, it's the middle of the night, the town guard is half a mile away, the stable NPCs are sleeping INSIDE the house and still - as soon as you reach a town on a stolen horse, the guards KNOW that you stole the horse. Why? Because horses have about 15 responsibility or whatnot - and report themselves stolen. WHY? Why would Bethsoft script something like that? Realism anyone? Sigh. -
You don't really need a mod for that :) Open the face texture of your race in a program like Photoshop, add the mole and save. Since I guess you use a custom race, it should not effect any NPCs. Important: you will need a .dds file extension for Photoshop, so that it can read the DDS files. Google should help you there :) If you have more characters using the custom race, make a copy of the face texture file before adding the mole (don't forget the second, blue "_n" file that belongs to every dds file), make a copy of the race you are using in the construction set and only add your altered face texture to that copy. Now your player character has a unique race, mole included. Ok, this might sound a bit weird so please don't hit me. Does anybody know where I can find a good tutorial on how to add a player character only custom idle animation? Because I have the animation file and read my way through the Oblivion Wiki, but there they only cover how to add an idle animation to an actor using a token item. I feel stupid for asking this, but I can't seem to find a tutorial on that :(

Found. :D Kudos!

was it known as Three_bows? I think it was lost in a server reset and was never re-uploaded... I do have that. Yes, that's what it was called. Maton also had a video on youtube showing how the scripts work, but the video is gone, too.
-
Hello ^^ I am looking for a mod that was on the Nexus a short while ago but I can't find it anymore. It contained two scripted bows that had a targeting script and custom animations and required OBSE. I think the creators name was Maton, but until now I haven't found zip :(
-
Yay for bumping old threads XD But since this is pinned, I think it's ok? See, and that's a problem right there. Because someone always sees you while you are stealing it: the HORSE. If you check the CS, you will find that horses have about 15 responsibility ( I don't remember the exact value) and even if there is no NPC in sight to witness your crime, the horse knows and will report itself stolen. So if you ride a stolen horse and arrive at the next town over, chances are that the town guard will arrest you, even if no NPC saw you stealing the horse. So you better get rid of a stolen horse before you get too close to a town. Commpanions can't ride your "other horses", since you purchased those horses and the ownership is set to your character. No one else can ride them. About companions riding horses in general... Without a mod that's pretty much impossible. You could change the Companion Mod in the CS and script a horse, but that takes a large amount of time. Simply creating a horse and setting the ownership to the Companion does not work (believe me, back in the day? I tried that XD) So you have two choices: you can either search for a mod called "companion horse command" here on the nexus (which requires OBSE and is kind of buggy if your companions tend to teleport after you when they fall behind) or you need to find a companion that already has a horse.

Yeah, the Loop-Ears elves are pretty amazing. The only thing that irritates the hell out of me is the x117 thing - I installed it together with BP 2ch and it totally screwed with my vanilla races XD Right now I'd have to be terribly cliche and say the Moonshadow Elves, because the textures are beautiful and go with almost anything. Customizing that race is a lot of fun.
