  1. I have a question about this house. Its location is right near that stone alter with stone pillars where sacrifices happen. Does that go away when you build on the Falkreath house area, or does that stay there, right next to your nice, new home? :-\
  2. Where do you get the Skyrim performance manager? I did a google search and found nothing on it.
  3. If I use the mod coverwomen, will I still need the mod 'No More Blocky Faces' to round out the faces, or does coverwomen round out the blockiness?
  4. When I get a chance, I'll try this out. I will manually uninstall the other two mods and then reinstall them via NMM again, and then install this third mod via NMM. Thank you for pointing this mod out, it may just solve the issue or improve it.
  5. Hello. I am using UNP (version 1.2). I use the mod coverwomen for the face and head. I use a coverwomen file which works with UNP to create an almost invisible seam. It is very hard to see. I had this all worked out recently. I used NMM and the almost invisible seam was there. I recently had to start a new game. I had both installed via NMM as I started the game at Helgen. Not sure if that has anything to do with my problem. So anyway, I'm at Riverwood, and now there is a pretty visible seam. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling via NMM. I installed the UNP body mod first, and then the coverwomen mod. I still had the seam issue. I then uninstalled both via NMM. I then did a manual install of both. I still have a neck seam issue. This is frustrating because I recently had things all worked out, and what I remember doing was simply installing UNP first and then the coverwomen file. Now I'm thinking I did something different, but I don't know what. Or maybe my issue involves something else. I don't know. Someone please help.
  6. I want to use the mod Moonpath to Elswyr. Where should I put it in the load order? I use this load order guide as a guideline (in the OP): http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/753253-only-you-can-prevent-forest-fires/
  7. Could I have avoided a lot of trouble if I had backed up my Skyrim folder before disabling the dragonborn .esm?
  8. Dubnoman can be the guinea pig? Haha, no. XD I haven't had any problems manifest yet. But disabling dragonborn like that probably will lead to problems, so yeah, I'll just start a new game and recreate the same character I have. I'm not far in, so restarting won't be so bad.
  9. Could you please elaborate? Would that mean a good chance of issues occurring later on? I'm starting to think I might have to start a new game. Would you recommend that?
  10. I'd like to use light armor for the head, chest, hands, and feet, but then use a heavy shield. Will that work out okay? The armor perks only apply to armor you wear, right? Also, will the heavy shield accumulate exp for the heavy armor skill tree when it is used?
  11. Good Idea: Spending some time interacting with the Children of Whiterun. Bad Idea: Spending any time interacting with Braith. Good Idea: Playing Skyrim using the Frostfall mod. Bad Idea: Using the Frostfall mod while you play with your busty barbie doll beauty who wears a g-string bikini. Good Idea: Help a poor fellow out with his broken cart. Bad Idea: That fellow is Cicero. Good Idea: Knocking boots with Mjoll the Lioness. Bad Idea: Knocking boots with Mjoll the Lioness before taking care of Aerin.
  12. I've heard of these rules of thumb. I'm afraid I've made a mistake. I'll wait for some more replies, but do guys think I should start a new game? I'm at level 10, and I've only done some bounties. I've cleared out some bandit strongholds. In the main quest, I'm only at the point where I have to go to Bleak Falls Barrow.
  13. I recently got Dragonborn, but I'm not ready to play it. I started a new game and activated Dragonborn.esm early on. I'm at level 10 now, and I have deselected the check in the check box for Dragonborn (at around level 6 or 7). I did this because I know it is buggy, and when I first enabled the .esm file, I had an issue with some floating skeever corpses. I thought maybe the buginess is from Dragonborn, so I disabled the .esm and I'll enable it and play Dragonborn when that DLC is not so buggy. However, I'm now concerned that doing this is bad for my game. Will this cause any problems, like corrupt saves or something else? Also, does Dragonborn add new NPCs to Whiterun. I've seen seven or eight new NPCs in Whiterun, but I can't fully interact with them. I'm thinking they are from Dragonborn. I can talk to them, but I'm not getting all the dialogue. Did I make a mistake? Or are we able to enable and disable the DLCs (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn) as we please?
  14. I ended up correcting things after I read the readme. It is good to hear that it shouldn't hurt any saves. Can any other people here confirm what fiewiel said?
  15. I installed a mod wrong. I'm at level 8 now and I've had the mod installed wrong since the very beginning. It is the mod Winter is Coming, the one with cloaks. I installed it via NMM and it automatically installed and enabled three .esp files, and you are only supposed to have one. The readme makes it very clear you are to only have one activated. I have had all three activated since the beginning. I have found cloaks as loot, but have not crafted any. I have not crafted any items from the mod. Does this make a difference? Have I planted the seeds for corrupt saves in the future? Everything runs without problems. Nonetheless, should I start from the very beginning? Should I start a new game? I'm only at level 8. Or is there no need for that and everything should be fine?
  16. How do you modify "weapon adjust" in the CK? I was told to modify the weapon adjust box in armor addon. I went into the CK, loaded Skyrim.esm and update.esm, saved a file called "SteelPlateArmorWeaponAdjust", went to weapon adjust and modified the numbers, clicked okay, saved the file into my data folder, and then activated the file and started Skyrim, and the sword still floats off of the hip. No difference. Am I doing anything wrong? I set weapon adjust to 0.00.
  17. How would I do a weapon adjust in the CK? I tried doing that with Steel Plate Armor in the CK, but it made no difference. However, I'm not good with the CK, so maybe I did something wrong. Maybe I made a mistake somewhere. Maybe I made a mistake when I saved the file. Edit: I don't know how to make changes to Steel Plate Armor and it's weapon adjust stay. I make the changes, and then they don't stay. I tried saving my work, and I save a plug-in, but I don't think I'm doing things right. I activated the plug-in and nothing happened. I dunno what I did by saving a plug-in. So I deleted that. I'm not too good with the CK. I can change the weapon adjust for Steel Plate Armor in the CK, but I don't know how to make my changes stay in place.
  18. I will try your mod. I do have a female character, btw. I always play female characters in Skyrim. Do you know of the mod Dual Sheaths plus Shields on Back (DSpSoB)? I know that it has issues with skeletons. Do you know if your mod will work with DSpSoB?
  19. Does anyone know how to solve this issue in the CK? Does anyone have a link to a tutorial on it? I have looked around some and I just don't know how to fix this floating weapon issue.
  20. I'd like to know where I can learn how to reposition weapons that are shown on characters when equipped. I want to go around using a Skyforge Steel Sword, but there is something annoying with it when I wear the armor I want to wear (Steel Plate Armor). The weapon floats off of my character's hip. Here are some pics: http://i46.tinypic.com/2pye5iv.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/19ul36.jpg Will I be able to adjust it's placement with the CK? If I can, will it conflict with this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17746 and will it conflict with this: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/716366-i-found-a-way-to-make-multiple-weapons-show-up/page__gopid__5692880&do=findComment&comment=5692880 (It is an .ini tweak).
  21. Can you outrun a horse? If so, you might not need one of those fleabags anymore. ;)
  22. I think she may be trying to tell your character something. You know, she has needs, not enough excitement in her love life. Isn't it obvious she is trying to drop some hints? :P
  23. Get a high end Nvidia card. I like AMD and I like Radeons, but I ran into a bit of trouble with drivers recently. I might get Nvidia for my next card, depending on how things go with drivers and issues for my current card. As you know (I'm sure), Nvidia is better in regards to driver issues.
  24. Is the option to craft it showing up at the forge, but greyed out? Or is it not showing up at all? Check to see if it's installed correctly by opening the console in game, then typing 'help backpack' (without quotes). See if it shows up on the list of items that spams. If it does, then it's installed correctly and you are probably just either missing the crafting ingredients or maybe don't have the correct crafting perk. Haha, I figured it out last night. I went and checked the mod page and it said "craftable at the forge". I know I read it when I first downloaded the mod, but I just had it in my mind that I need to use the tanning rack to make backpacks because that just makes more sense then making something out of hides, furs, and leather at the fires of a forge. So, I reinstalled the mod (I uninstalled it when I thought it wasn't working) and went to a forge, and sure enough, you can create them at a forge under the "Hide" section. What also helped me be confused is that the tanning racks have a "Hide" section for me, as well, due to another mod I have. So I was going to the tanning racks and checking under it's "Hide" section and finding nothing on backpacks. I guess things are working out just fine with my computer and mods. I was just worried about more buginess. Skyrim is so buggy so at first I thought it was just more Skyrim issues.
  25. The first one you linked is not a mod, it's a save game. Installing with NMM won't work because it will try to put the fille in your data folder of your Skyrim installation, when it needs to be with your other saves in your My Documents folder. You will need to follow the readme to place the file in the correct folder on your computer. Hard to diagnose what went wrong with the second mod (Saber Gear pack) without seeing your load order. Use steam to verify your game files to make sure your Skyrim installation is correct. If you still have problems, give us more details about how you are attempting to install the mod and what is going wrong with it (when you say it doesn't activate, does that mean the ESM is not checked in the load order, or the item is not showing up in game, or something else?). Thanks for the input on the save game file. The Sabre Gear Backpack mod, the .esp file is checked, but I can't craft the item at the tanning racks. The mod says you can craft them under the hide section at tanning racks.
