  1. Hi. For people with experience making mods, I have a mod request for something which is very simple. I request a mod that makes Lydia's default armor be the vanilla leather armor. The leather armor for her body, the leather boots, and the leather bracers. No helmet. Same default weapons. And I request that this game be made available on Bethesda's website; for the PS4 version. If this aids in the creation of the mod, I'll also mention that I will use a PS4 mod that gives Lydia a female posture and animations. I hope someone will decide to make this mod. It should be simple and quick for anyone with experience with modding.
  2. I'd like to replay Skyrim and I've made Nintendo Switch my go-to system for gaming, so I'd like to play it on Switch. If I were to play on PC, I'd only use a very small amount of mods (less than 5) so playing Vanilla Skyrim on Switch is fine by me since I'd be going for a near-vanilla experience otherwise. One mod I use though, is a mod that prevents vampire attacks in towns due to the Dawnguard DLC. If I play Vanilla Skyrim on Switch, what can I do about these Vampire attacks? I don't want to see a bunch of NPCs be killed due to vampires. Is my only course of action to start the Dawnguard questline as soon as I can and try to complete it asap, and other than that, stay on the look out for vampire attacks in towns and try to save NPCs?
  3. I started a game of SSE. I beat the dragon near white run, right before the grey beards summon you to High Hrothgar. The dragon remains were at that tower. I continued on with the game. A little bit later on, the dragon remains came out of nowhere; appeared next to my character near Silent Moons Camp. (I think I might have fast traveled). One time leaving White Run, the dragon remains appeared at the White Run gates (exterior) and now they are there all the time. Is there is a console command to get rid of them? If I use it, it won't cause any issues with my save file? Or, do the dragon remains disappear after a certain amount of time?
  4. Thanks for the input and info. I know PS4 modding won't be much of anything good. It is good to know that through framerate locking, I should be able to get a pretty good experience out of SSE with my current hardware. I do know I will get the game free on PC. I do have the original game and all DLC on Steam. I'll keep my eyes open when the game hits and the days that follow; looking around online for how to do framerate locking for this game.
  5. So Skyrim Special Edition is almost here. I have system specs that are closer to the minimum system requirements (for GPU). I have 8 GB of RAM, an Intel i5 that is better than the recommended spec for CPUs, but a Radeon HD 7950 with 3 GB of VRAM, which is closer to the minimum spec GPU than recommended spec GPU. My options are to get the game on PS4 or get the game on PC. The game runs at 30 fps on PS4. So I was wondering, will there be a way (mod, .ini file tweak) to lock the PC version of SSE at 30 fps? I'd like to play the PC version if I could since the mods will be more plentiful and generally better. I think that if I could lock the game at 30 fps, I could get something on my PC that looks at least as good, if not better, than the PS4 version, while also being 30 fps as well, and with better mod options. And if I could get a rock solid 30 fps, I'd really be fine with 30 fps. I'm guessing if I can lock the framerate, I can keep the advanced effects turned on and settings on high or at least a mix of settings on high and medium. Does that sound like a reasonable expectation?
  6. Is that the case with Fallout 4? Because I believe I read that Skyrim SE is using the Fallout 4 engine.
  7. Ah, ok, I see. I don't plan to overclock. I will wait until October before getting a new card, though. So maybe some third parties will have non-reference cards available then. I'll see how Skyrim Special Edition is with both RX 480 and GTX 1060. I'll see how the cards compare for that game. I want the card that does Skyrim Special Edition at a rock solid 60 fps at 1080p with all settings maxed out. I think the GTX 1060 will, and I'd like to see if the RX 480 does, too. I have a question. My motherboard is from 2012. I believe I have PCIe 2.0. How much will a PCIe 2.0 slot limit a PCIe 3.0 capable GPU? Is it only by a small amount?
  8. I'm looking for a GPU upgrade for Skyrim Special Edition, and the AMD RX 480 has good bang for the buck. It looks pretty good for its price, but do we have to worry about that issue where it draws more power from the PCIe slot than it should? Do you think AMD and/or the third party GPU makers will correct this issue in the next few months? Or at least, there may be some cards from some companies which correct this flaw? Surely that will happen given enough time, but do you think it will happen between now and Q4 2016?
  9. That should be fine enough. The game will likely not have the option to cap framerae from within the menus like other modern games (typical for Bethesda). But, I'm sure you will be able to edit the .ini files to cap the framerate to whatever you want. Oh, it is likely we will be able to put frame rate caps via .ini files, hm? I've never done such a thing before but it is just as reliable and stable and works just as well as if a game offers it in one of the menus?
  10. A lot of people have been assuming that it will require better specs than the original release of Skyrim did. It will probably have similar system requirements as Fallout 4, so if you can play that game - you should be able to play this new release of Skyrim. That is speculation though. I'd say if you have at least a GTX 750 Ti (or an R7 360) and a decent CPU you should be able to play this game. Not at 60fps on Ultra settings, but you'll be able to play it just fine. I doubt it will require very beefy hardware because Fallout 4 didn't. I was thinking of upgrading my PC for this game, but it might not be necessary. I have a good i5 processor (quad core, 3.4 GHz), plus 8 GB RAM and a Radeon HD 7950 with 3 GB VRAM. And I only have a 1080p monitor, so I'm thinking I could play the game with all settings on high (not ultra) and maybe even have 60 fps. I kind of hope Skyrim Special Edition will allow people to lock at 30 fps. If my system can't do a consistent 60 fps with the game, I'd rather have a locked 30 fps. To put it in perspective, my PC can run Metal Gear Solid V at 1080p with all settings on high and at a rock solid 60 fps.
  11. So many people think that if you meet the recommended specs for Fallout 4, your PC should be able to handle Skyrim Special Edition very well?
  12. I just beat the Legion side of the Civil War questline. I defeated Ulfric Stormcloak, saw General Tellius' speech, left Windhelm, got on my horse, rode to Whiterun, and then entered breezehome. When I left breezehome, Hadvar came through the Whiterun gates. Now he wants to follow me everywhere and I have no option to dismiss him. I'm annoyed. Before leaving Breezehome, I put on nice clothes, jewelry, and grabbed an amulet of Mara because I want to marry Ysolda now before I pick back up the main quest. Is this thing with Hadvar a bug? Is he supposed to follow you after the Civil War questline (Legion questline)? Is there a console command to make him stop following me and go away?
  13. What difficulty are you playing on? Using any mods to increase difficulty, such as an enhance enemy AI mod?
  14. Foina, what is your mace of choice? High level one like Ebony? Or the ever-so-sturdy looking Dwarven mace? What kind of armor and shield do you use?
  15. I had this problem before. What I determined was the issue for me was certain types of mods. If I installed a mod that changed the environments of Skyrim, for whatever reason, I'd get no random dragon attacks. If I put in a mod that did things like make it snow more or enhance the vegetation, I had this problem. Also, I had a mod that added smelters to all blacksmiths in Skyrim. For example, it added a smelter to the blacksmith in Riverwood. It changed the environment in some way (It was located on the grassy ground next to Alvor's workstation). That mod also gave me this problem, because once I uninstalled it, random dragon attacks happened soon afterward. On my current play through, I haven't had this problem, but I didn't install any kinds of mods I explained to you.
  16. I have two files from this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/40038/? I have a mod file for Jordis and a mod file for Iona. BOSS isn't working for me right now, so where would I put those two esp files in my load order? I know some mod types get grouped together in load order (correct?). Would I put them after mods that affect gameplay? Would I put them before or after mods that add items?
  17. BOSS can't detect Skyrim. A few days ago it detected it just fine. I tried using Boss GUI again today and it can't detect Skyrim, so I can't use its functions. Does anyone know of some possible solutions to this problem?
  18. OP, since you want prettier females, you might want Superior Lore-Friendly Hair. It is HD hair, so I dunno if that'll effect performance on your machine. But it makes vanilla hairs look much nicer.
  19. Does anyone have any help to offer? It has been two days since I created this thread, and there hasn't been a single thread view yet. Edit: Before I made this post, it said "0 replies - 0 views".
  20. Get coverwomen and covereyes. I like Coverwomen look 3. Get UNP for female bodies. Install UNP first, and then get "seamless UNP and Coverwomen look 3" from the coverwomen mod page. You'll get it in the downloads section. It'll give you coverwomen look 3 and the seamless UNP will minimize the neck seam issue. UNP will give you nude females and includes "fem feet", which make the feet of women look more realistic and attractive, instead of ugly and blocky. If you are playing with mouse and keyboard, get SkyUI. I think it needs SKSE. If you never used SKSE, just read the installation instructions carefully. It isn't too hard to set up. If you use horses, definitely get Convenient Horses. I believe it uses SKSE. Once you install Convenient Horses, you probably shouldn't uninstall it. It is one of those mods best kept up and going once installed. I don't know why someone would get rid of that mod, though. Great mod. Also, make sure to get "A quality world map". I chose the one that shows all the roadways on the map. It is convenient, for sure.
  21. I deleted many saves. I did it from the load menu. I hit x and then enter for the ones I wanted to delete. I did it kind of fast, but I didn't do it as fast as I could so that the computer could keep up with my commands. I still did it quickly as I deleted around 200 saves. As soon as I did this, I loaded my most recent save. The game went to the loading screen, and then the screen transitioned to where I was (a general goods store), and it showed this place I was for not even a second before a CTD happened. I went back into the game and loaded the same save and it loaded up just fine. However, my speakers (USB enabled and powered compact speaker unit) now have an annoying buzzing sound. It isn't too loud, but it wasn't there before. I loaded another save a little earlier, in a Dwemer ruin, and I couldn't pick up a buzzing sound. I reloaded the most recent save again, and a CTD happened very quickly like the first time. I reloaded the most recent save again and things appeared normal. I quit the game, turned off the speakers, and plugged in my headphones and reloaded my save in the Dwemer ruin. The sound is fine with headphones. No annoying buzzing. I picked up the game from the Dwemer ruin and made my way to Solitude, where my most recent save was, and made up the little lost ground I had. The game seems stable and fine, and headphones have no annoying buzzing sound. I loaded my new most recent save with the speakers on, and the annoying buzzing sound is there. So what I'm concerned about, well, the buzzing sound on speakers is annoying. A bigger concern is this: Do I have to worry about my save data being corrupt now? I thought I deleted saves just like I was supposed to, but now I'm worried I didn't and that I set myself up for problems. I use SKSE so certain SKSE files are in my save folder. I thought I deleted saves like I'm supposed to. Is there anything I can do? Keep in mind that I had two CTDs with a most recent save in Solitude, but went to an earlier save in a Dwemer ruin, recovered lost ground, and made my way back to Solitude and will pick up from there. I'm not gonna use the save in Solitude that had the CTDs. Still, I'm worried that I did something to corrupt my saves somehow. Do you guys think that happened? Is there anything I can do? Should I play my game for a while, and then post a Papyrus log here? Also, about the buzzing speakers, does that sound like a familiar issue? Is there anything I can do about that? Should I try buying another one of the same speaker unit and trying that to see if the problem will occur with it? Edit: I'm starting to think I have no corrupt saves, but my audio is still wonky. I had my good save which had no buzzing sound when using headphones and with that game progress saved it over the save that had two CTDs, and now there is a minor buzzing sound with headphones on any save loaded and there is a minor buzzing when I open doors into new areas. If I go to playback devices, I see five things listed as "Digital Display Audio - AMD High Definition Audio Device - Not Plugged In". I've never seen this in the past (at least, I don't recall ever seeing it). Should I use a restore point from System restore? Maybe whatever I did with Skyrim and save files ended up botching something with my audio drivers. Would it hurt to try a system restore? Should I try reinstalling audio drivers? Before I do any of that, maybe I should try some other PC games and see how the audio is. Maybe I have to reinstall Skyrim ((I did the verify integrity of game cache function)). I don't know, but hopefully someone here can help me out.
  22. Since you are playing with mouse and keyboard (I assume you are since you played Oblivion on PC), get Sky UI. That is a must. Also, get convenient horses. Using horses in vanilla Skyrim is s#*! lol. Convenient horses has a lot of customization to be had, including increasing the speed of the horse when running and sprinting, giving it more stamina so it can sprint longer, and giving it more health so that it doesn't die so easily.
  23. I read that it is best to have all your mods installed before starting a new game (unless a mod page states otherwise). I might want the ultimate follower overhaul mod, though, and I want the Falskaar mod. Can I safely add them? I'm at level 35 now and have made some good progress and I'm determined to beat the game this time. I had to restart a few times in the past due to some reasons and I've never beaten any questlines, so I don't want to do anything to make my game buggy. I'd like those two mods I mentioned, but I want stability more than that. I really want to beat the main quest this time (along with two other quest lines).
  24. You don't need to put perks into illusion magic or sneak for the muffle spell or the sneak skill tree muffle perk. Find a pair of boots with the muffle effect on them. Go disenchant them. Then, get a cheap petty soul gem with a petty soul in it. You can get them at a general goods store or from a court mage. With a weak petty soul gem and a low enchanting skill level, you can still enchant any pair of boots you want with the muffle effect, and it will be the full effect of muffle. Your heavy amor may produce some noise, so if you mix in invisibility potions and some sneaking, things should be fine. You can buy fortify sneaking potions and invisibility potions. Also, what I said about creating a pair of muffled boots, you can do the same with the water breathing enchant. Disenchant a water breathing enchanted armor piece or necklace, and then you can enchant your helmet with a low enchanting skill and a petty soul gem and your helmet will have the water breathing enchantment, allowing you to go under water for as long as you want to.
