  1. Am I the only one having trouble forcing localization changes? I had my own personal mod setup that was working just fine before the patch, or the hotfix (not sure which one screwed things up) dropped. The rest of the mod still functions without problem but the localization changes will simply not apply.
  2. Well there's only one way to gain that knowledge. Unpack the game and start poking around. The only current method, unless some figures out UI modding, to 'hide helmets' is to go into the game files, find the specific helmet you want to 'hide', and delete the values that reference the item mesh. And then package all of that as it's own mod. For a single helmet. And then if you want to 'show' that helmet, delete the mod. Rinse and repeat as desired. A bit cumbersome and far too inflexible to reasonably expect someone to do. They would have to make a separate mod for each and every helmet in the game, and then also update them as Larian releases game updates. The mere thought of making that, releasing it, and maintaining it makes me nauseous. Larian will eventually add a 'hide helmet' button.
  3. So currently I have Kuno's armor added, Fletcher's lower leg armor and two varieties of Sir Divish's armor
  4. Hello ladies and gentlemen! Figured it was time to create a forum post for my mod, for those of you that are interested in it's development, progression, and eventual release. My intent with this mod is to add in all unobtainable armors for use by the player. And to also add new color varieties of the many beautiful brigandine armors, though that has at the moment ran into a few problems that I currently don't know my way around. So for the time being I have shifted my focus toward adding in the unobtainable armors.
  5. Ha! Those pesky things. Well at least you haven't uploaded a mod as a zip when it's supposed to be a pak... That was an embarrassing moment
  6. https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/images/420 That's a mod I'm working on at the moment, will be released at some point next week. That's probably the closest you'll ever get.
  7. That's next on the list. I'm not sure what the issue is then. I am working off the newest file versions but it just won't recognize them for some reason. Glad to hear it! Hope you haven't lost your touch :P
  8. The packaging remains the same. The 'old mods' folder is just a dump where current mods are moved to after a game update. They added it in with the 1.9 update. I hope you get around to your mail horse armor mod! I've been missing it :(
  9. Some might do it for you, I don't. I do it for me. I make the changes in the game that i want. Then i share it with the community. What times would that be? Who determines that? You? I spend my time how i choose. First off I can tell you that in my 15 years of modding that that is thoroughly false. Secondly, I'm supposed to ask someone else to sacrifice their free time to update a mod in order to satisfy you? Learn to mod yourself. Stop asking others to do it. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Modding_guide_for_KCD first result that comes u when googling 'KCD modding guide'. There ya go. Sure as hell came across as one, and a petulant one at that. And i sincerely hope that others do not agree. And in regards to modding being a 'closed society', yes it in some (some) ways is. Most of us are self taught, and it can be grating to have someone write a paragraph of a non-attack attack and then close it by saying that they have asked for assistance and received none. There are resources available. We are not paid teachers. But if you take those first steps and dig into it many of us, myself included, would be more than happy to provide help. But we can't open that door for you.
  10. Hello everyone! I'm trying to wrap my head around how to add armor items in a standalone, as opposed to replacing in-game items. I have no idea where to begin... Do i need to somehow generate new item/clothing ID's? Or can i just make it all zero's and add a 1 on the end of one line, 2 for the next, etc. Would very much appreciate any help.
  11. Title, anyone have any idea where to start to remove the blood overlay of 'The Bloody Links'? Seems like it would be disgusting to wear after a while...
  12. I'm experiencing a bug where all plate chausses provide double their listed defense. Does not affect any of the brigandine leg armor, only the plate armor. Anyone have any idea how i could fix this? Is not caused by mods, bug still occurs with all mods deleted on a fresh save file.
  13. Is it possible to remove all coifs/aventails that are attached to the helms? So that our actual equipped coif is displayed. Seems redundant that we can equip a chain coif, and then equip a helm that has its own coif attached.
  14. Without permission, yes. Though I believe CD Projekt Red allows modders to use all the witcher 1 & 2 assets. So you could just go that route if it's true.
  15. Absolutely excellent! i re-installed Skyrim when i saw this! There's a severe lack of LOTR mods... :(
  16. the retex is amidian, but he has a mod that changes the model. adds sleeves. and i can't find it for the life of me!
  17. Ok so i searched the mod database and even asked the guy who posted the screen but i still have no idea what mod he is using. So can someone please tell me what mods he's using to give the armor those sleeves and also what shield mod he's using. Thanks. http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/33196-1-1363111405.jpg
  18. It might be possible, but would require a tremendous amount of work. To be honest i don't imagine any modder would be willing to put that much time and effort into re-creating cover based shooter mechanics for an RPG...
  19. It's a throwback to the real overhaul mods of oblivion (oscuro's?) that ACTUALLY changed the game.
  20. It's just such an excellent mod though, I've been waiting for something like this for a while! I understand the man has his own personal and real life and that obviously takes precedence. But I have stalked these forums since Morrowind and I've seen many many excellent mods die before completion. It would be a shame to see that happen to this one.
  21. Not sure what you're trying to say there, follow the mod install directions and you'll be fine. Once the have the Nexus Mod Manager downloaded it's usually as simple as clicking the download with manager button then following the directions. Many mods also have a list of incompatible mods on their page so be sure to read carefully. If the mods does start to cause problems just deactivate it from the NMM and you'll be fine.
  22. a lot of those screenshots you'll never be able to duplicate into a playable framerate, the reason being that some of the screenshots taken were with all game/ENB settings cranked to the max. Looks beautiful sure but it's not exactly playable. However you can still make your game look damn good with some high resolution textures an ENB and/or a lighting and weather mod, depending on your hardware. Personally i use Skyrim HD - 2K Textures as my main re-tex mod, RCRN as my lighting and weather mod and i use an ENB tailored for RCRN. Though to be honest i can't remember the name... :( You also have various armor and weapon retextures, Xenius Character Enhancement for greater character detail, i mean really the list goes on and on and on. A good place to start though is just to browse the top files and pick out what you like
  23. There are so many downright gorgeous re-textures out for the other armors (even the vampire armors! ) but we vampires hunters don't have any truly HD detailed re-textures for our armor :( So would anyone be so kind as to re-tex the dawnguard armors?
  24. I can't believe I've missed this mod. Now i can finally play a real warrior/mage!
