  1. This idea came to me while I was using Immersive College of Winterhold and Spell Research; the former adds doors to the bedrooms in the Hall of Attainment (among many other things), and the latter adds items such as a cauldron. Unfortunately, whenever I put the Cauldron down in my room, an NPC would inevitably barge into my room to use it. I decided to use the console to lock my doors and then unlock them again whenever I had it out, but then I thought: "why bother with that when there must be some mod that allows you to lock and unlock doors in a more immersive way? Surely someone has made such a mod..." To my dismay, however, the only such mod is a SPELL, and that seems far less immersive than the idea I think would be simple enough for someone experienced in modding: locks and keys the player can either purchase or forge. You place a lock on a door, chest, display case, etc., then use the key to lock or unlock it via a hotkey of some sort. Have the key in your inventory, look at the door/chest/display case, then press the hotkey; if it's locked, it unlocks and opens. If not, it closes and locks. I wonder why no one has made such a mod?
  2. I didn't say ONLY for that--there are plenty of mods on the nexus that have steam workshop versions. All the Kenshi mods I have are in the workshop...
  3. Is that mod available on the Steam workshop?
  4. I've found that even areas where the "Green" rating is super high look fairly rocky and desert-y, particularly in the North. There ought to be a mod that alters the texture of certain biomes to make them "greener" and "planty-er"; there's no reason the whole game world should be comprised entirely of varying shades of rust.
  5. Before I begin, let me say that I have googled and googled and googled for DAYS, and I looked on the CK official website, and not once have I found anything even remotely approaching an answer. I have posted on the page of the mod in question twice, no answer. I have asked this question independently in a related bug thread before, no answer. I am seriously becoming frustrated to the point where I honestly don't care if I get in trouble for not posting in those threads again because I'm worried that I'll be blocked for double, triple, quadruple posting because no one answers. So please, if you see this and have ANY experience with the CK or modding that can be of ANY help at all, no matter how trivial, please post SOMETHING that I could use. I'm desperate here. And no, don't tell me to ask the Author--he/she has stopped modding Oldrim ages ago and abandoned that mod even longer ago. Basically, I'm using "Growing Up in Skyrim" for Oldrim, and the Teenager races have only ONE hair option in creation. The added child races do not have this problem. Here's a specific example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLIaYxb3fww I used the CK to check out the race itself, as well as the hairs. I discovered something interesting: This is the "use info" list for the Breton Teen race; I've confirmed that the other two teen races have similar lists. The race is counted in "headpartsallracesminusbeast", which OUGHT to mean that all hairs in that category are available for it to use in-game. Then I looked at the hair, and found this: This is the "use info" list for the only useable hair in-game for that race. As it turns out, it is the ONLY hair that includes the Teen races in that list. I'm guessing that this is the issue here. So the question is: how do I add the Teen races to the lists in the other hairs? How can I make the other hairs useable by the Teen Races? Again, I'm desperate for answers at this point. Please don't ignore this post.
  6. I know there are probably rules against bumping, but considering there doesn't seem to be one answer to this problem that has ever been posted on this or any other site--and I have done search after search after search, if there was some reply somewhere I would have found it by now--I think it's too terrible a thing to make an effort to get some answers by making sure the thread is actually seen. If you see this thread, and you read it, and you have ANY info at all that could remotely help in any way, shape or form, however far-fetched, I don't think it's too much to ask to say SOMETHING. I don't mean to sound rude or pushy, but I'm sort of frustrated about this.
  7. I have had this problem for quite a while, and there is literally not one single answer to this in existence as far as Google is concerned. I'd like some sort of answer but judging by how long this has been open and unanswered I'm not optimistic. The only difference for me is that I'm trying to use the CK to add the hair NOT to a single NPC, but to a custom race that only has one hair option in character gen--and in the preview, the Apachii hair I'm trying to add just floats waaaaay above the head.
  8. I'm using Wrye Bash, I've sorted my order with BOSS, I've made manual adjustments (specifically, moving Better Cities.esp lower in my load order), I've installed everything properly, and yet no matter what I do, every time I go to that store I just fall through the nonexistent floor. Here's my load order:
  9. Scarves aren't showing for some reason. Everything else is fine, including the image in the inventory menu, but when I put it on it's invisible--for example, if I wear just pants and shoes, I put on the scarf, it looks like I still just have pants and shoes. It's like I'm not wearing them at all. I have no clue how to fix this...
  10. I didn't use any features of MO that I haven't used a bunch of times already with no problem. I've used MO for years now without difficulty, and none of the items in that link seem to pertain to my issue. I'm thinking it had to be the TES5Edit thing, but for the life of me I don't know what about it caused this problem since the problem itself seems practically unprecedented. Hell, I've continued looking for any sign of any similar problem someone else may have had, but still no dice no matter where I look. I'm starting to think I may be the only human being ever to experience this issue...
  11. I run everything through MO, so there isn't a meshes folder in the Data directory. There is a scripts folder that I renamed--I tried to load the game, but this time it simply went to the loading screen for a bit, then crashed to desktop.
  12. Before I get into it, no, it's not mod-related--literally the only changes I made from the last good save to the first one with this problem were (1.) Using a save cleaner (one with good ratings here on the nexus, and that I have had zero problem with before) to fix a small bug, and I didn't do anything that I haven't done before or that would conceivably break the game, and (2.) TES5Edit clean the three DLC esm files. Yes, I know, stupid me, but in my defense my brain stopped working that day. Now, whenever I load up that save, I spawn like this: I can't draw any weapons or use magic. Fast travel does nothing, and using the coc console command to travel to another cell--even an interior--just has me spawn outside the map same as here. As far as Google knows, there is literally not one single person on the net besides me having this problem, so any help would be vastly appreciated and I will give you my firstborn if you help me solve the problem. EDIT: Also, I already did the "verify cache" thing with steam, that fixed nothing, and I did "delete local files" and re-installed, that fixed nothing. I even restored the TES5Edit backups, that didn't fix anything either.
  13. Well, there is still a dummy sitting at the keyboard, but aside from that, yeah, problem solved. :D
  14. Well, your worries about Mod Organizer were unfounded, as were your thoughts on it being a script error. Turns out I updated Immersive College of Winterhold past where it was still compatible with College of Winterhold Improved. Once I narrowed it down to those two and compared the new ICW version to the one I had before, the changes in the list of conflicts practically leapt off the screen at me. I simply assumed that since they had been compatible before they would stay that way, despite the fact that common sense would say otherwise. In other words, a PEBCAK error. :psyduck:
