  1. Weighting... Like skin weights weighting? Or is it another term for Blender. (I'm no good with blender) Also, how does gamebryo take the skeletons? And the body, I'll have to divide it up correct?
  2. It looks like interest is lost on this, but I can still help if any one needs it. I sculpt, model, rig, and animate. I can texture but I rely on the UV master plugin for zBrush which I don't own and have limited access to. And as well, I use MAYA and Sculptris, neither of which support .nif, or .kf files, so any work I do would have to be converted to .nif formats, and I'm unfamiliar with the sort of modular rigging and body part creation of the gamebryo fallout engine. To further add to the complication I only have FO3 for the xbox, which you can't mod but I do have fallout new vegas and if it were simple replacer stuff it could be ported to FONV.
  3. Is there a log I can look at or something I can pull up to find out what might be causing this?
  4. It's caused because DarN UI modifies the oblivion.ini changing the fonts and font sizes, amongst other things, just disable DarN for now and install it at the very end of your trouble shooting.
  5. It's only happening on quickloads after I open oblivion. Like if I make a quicksave, then play for five minutes and hit F9 I'll go back to my quicksave no problem. But if I close oblivion or it crashes as is usually the case the quickload crashes. Is there some sort of error report I could pull up and look at for more information? I don't know if this is important, but if I load a quickload after starting oblivion the game can run for up to five seconds. But before it crashes, my character does this weird fidget, like his skeleton was changed or like I queued something from the quick keys that I was already wearing, my character just resets all quick like and then the game crashes.
  6. OK, here's what I did. I kept the oblivion_default as is, but I deleted the oblivion.ini and the oblivion.ini.temp (which had a file size of 0KB, so I believe it to be worthless). Then I ran oblivion.exe, as opposed to obse_loader. Same thing happened. My UI was screwed up; the main menu loaded but crashed when loading a save. Did I miss a step or do something wrong? Of course, I restored the oblivion.ini files afterward. Forget the DarN UI disable it for now, enable it latter after you've fixed the current problem. I'd recommend disabling any mods that have ini files as well. Also I recommend disabling any mods you installed recently perhaps all of them and just start small from a new game. Try just making a new game with all of your mods disabled and if it still crashes you'll probably have to reinstall Oblivion.
  7. Nope. Also I recently installed the Real Swords Mods and the Unique Landscapes, Both of them have missing meshes, but I don't know if there are other obvious missing files that could bring about these crash on loads. And the quicksaves only crash on load after I've closed oblivion and opened it up again. I've got Wryebash, OBMM, TES4Edit, I can pull up logs, I just don't really know hot to use all of them.
  8. I'm not sure exactly why this is happening, I think it has something to do with Deleted Ref.s and Undeleted Ref.s I've recently disabled Tales of Elsweyr because I thought it was causing problems, and I didn't like it. Here is my load order, if there are more logs or crashdumps I can recover just let me know and I'll pull them up. Provided I know where to find them.
  9. Yes, de-selecting only disables them by putting XX in front of the name and changing any .esm files to .esp As for a new game, I haven't tried that yet for fear of screwing things up further (I even plan to install a new race mod), but I'll try it when I have time, but even if that does work, it still means that the saves I already have are screwed. Edit: OK, I confirmed it. I can NOT start a new game either, so I don't think the problem is with the saves. It might be Oblivion itself. I think we have established that the saves are definately not the cause or a problem. I have to check again, but have you deleted oblivion.ini from your documents, in C:\Users\Aryeonos\Documents\My Games\Oblivion and launched oblivion from the disk menu without OBSE yet?
  10. Try using Wrye Bash or OBMM to do a complete uninstall of all versions of Deadly Reflexes, and run Oblivion.exe. Not the shortcuts or anything, whenever I say an .exe I mean to run it from its source file inside of C:/-/Oblivion. Also, try moving Oblivion into a new folder just inside of C: to avoid any windows security problems. For instance, Oblivion is in this directory on my computer: "C:\Games\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion"
  11. Well, just possibly because "My saves will NOT load" doesn't exactly mantion anything that would make the author of the mod think the thread has anything to do with him/her? Like actually putting "Deadly reflex" or DR6 IN the topic title? Well, to begin with I don't think that either of us knew exactly what had caused it, only after a day or so did we figure it out, and even so, the problem still remains ambiguous. All we think we know for sure is that DR6 is somehow the cause of it. On top of which I PM'd sky captain on monday and still haven't gotten a response. So, the author might not even be online.
  12. Those Files should be overwritten in the update process. I deleted oblivion default.ini in Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion and Oblivion.ini in Docs/Games/Oblivion Also, try loading a save from before you installed DR6 that you haven't touched since then. Even though we resolved that DR6 didn't corrupt any saves, the old save may not have any bad information yet written to it.
  13. I reinstalled the body replacers as soon as I removed DR. As for updating OBSE, is there any special method or is it just copying over the new files? DL OBSE 0020 and extract the files, then move them over the old ones and make sure to copy move and replace. Alright, so a review of the steps. 1. Load the saves without OBSE and make clean saves of those. 2. Update to OBSE 20 3. Load the clean new saves with OBSE Right? So the bottom line is that the saves will load if OBSE is NOT used? Yes, that is true. However, if you try loading a clean save with your same build of OBSE, it will continue to crash as normal. You must update/replace your current build of OBSE for the problem to be cleared up, if you ever want to use a mod that requires OBSE (Which is allot of them) So bottom line, you must replace your current OBSE in its entirety. Updating/reinstalling does this as long as you make sure to click the move/copy and replace option.

  15. Try (re)installing OBSE 0020, running the game without OBSE, then running it with OBSE 0020. So far I think it fixed the problem. You'll have to reinstall any body replacers though, that can't be helped.
