  1. Given goo and ash piles have always been buggy, from FO3 to FO76, the obvious solution seems to be to just disable disintegration completely. All energy weapon kills render a regular corpse. That's it.
  2. Yup. I didn't know I needed this, but here we are.
  3. I live somewhere I can ride dirtbikes at night and not bother the neighbors. My internet is connected by a radio tower on my roof. I get 400kbs. And I've got to download eight games and all their mods. Because Vortex broke e v e r y t h i n g when importing from NMM. I was hoping to play something this month, but I guess March will be fine. Can we get the option to download mods to NMM? That would have saved me days worth of time.
  4. I've worked in the GECK. I've done items, dialogue, and companions before. But I genuinely don't have time to work on a mod of any complexity right now. I'm rebuilding my cylinder head, building an ECU, reworking my suspension, and working full time.
  5. Like I said, Devin. To someone who knows how to properly use the GECK, it should be fairly simple. But, like 2much said, I couldn't figure out how to access damage tables for a whole faction. It was either globally or for individual NPC's, and nothing to modify them with a percentage, but there was opportunity to load custom scripts, which I don't know the first thing about writing.
  6. I wouldn't mind having to set the reduced damage rate manually, either. I just can't figure out how to set a global modifier for all companions.
  7. Hey, so I'm looking for an addon, either to be made or existing. I'd make it myself, but I can't find how to do it. Basically, it makes it so you have the combined damage of a single companion. 1 companion = 100% damage 2 = 50% 3 = 33% 4 = 25% 5 = 20% etc. While a companion doing 20% damage is definitely lackluster, it still puts a lot of stress on the player and having multiple companions would give a sort of tactical advantage, even though the AI is absolutely worthless at times. I always found the whole lone gunman who had to be helped with killing geckos single-handedly wiping out Cesar's Legion a few weeks later to be kind of unrealistic, so I usually like to sit around 4-5 companions to sort of make a squad. However, having that many people makes most things too easy to be fun, so I get a bunch of difficulty mods, but a lot of things are super annoying, like getting one shot as soon as you walk in a door that you just saved in. So if I can dial down companion damage a lot and only raise difficulty a little, I can get the same overall feel of panic as your group gets ambushed by a bunch of nightstalkers, but won't get one shot by a powder ganger when you open a door. Plus.. I can pick up everything.. It should be relatively simple. I just can't figure out how to do it myself. Someone who knows their way around the geck could probably set it up in a couple of minutes. Thanks.
  8. Now the game seems to be crashing on saves. Whether auto, quick, overwrite, or new. It looks like FO3 doesn't have write access to the save path, but by all rights it should. Think launching FOSE as admin will fix that?
  9. Hey, so I'm playing a heavily modded copy of FO3 and I'm in Vault 112, trying to finish Scientific Pursuits by sitting in the chair, but it crashes on loading Tranquility Lane. Common problem, I know. No Googled solution worked. At this point, if I can't go in with no gear and no companions, which I'll try after this post, then I'll just want to use console to skip whatever triggers it needs to function correctly. I imagine I just need to get Tranq Lane quest started and then I can movetoqt to the Find Betty objective, which should prevent issues with Dad not waking up and stuff. Oh, also, I use the Dvorak layout, and I don't mind that the gameplay uses Qwerty, but is there a way to change what just the console uses? For instance, when I activate an item, I press . but the game says press E. Same with reload and P. That I like. Keeps me from having to remap the game. But trying blindly in console is tedious seeings as I haven't used Qwerty for so long that I don't know it anymore. Small issue. Don't put too much thought into it unless you just happen to know it. Thanks, guys. EDIT:: Oh great. Now it's crashing when I try to leave the garage.
  10. The GECK for New Vegas. I *Think* I installed it right; replace FO3 files with the contents of the NV GECK .zip, right? However, when I try to edit a NV mod, it just opens GECK. When I try to open a mod, it only shows FO3 mods. Uhhm... Yea. Help me?
  11. I've seen two. The StarFox one, and something called "Burmucian" or something similar. Burmucian is kind of scary though. •_•
  12. As stated before, I know that there's mods for races from other games. This is a lombax race from the Ratchet and Clank universe. While neat, not what I was intending.
  13. Yea, yea. Generic furfags comments are pre-acknowledged. Move along if you're not willing to help. But the general point is that the furry race mods aspect is seriously lacking. Theres a StarFox mod, sure, but thats not exactly furry in general. What I mean is to create a new race design, that makes different species. A few basic ones to start with. Fox, wolf, badger, dragon, etc. The ones that will cover most people's fursonas. The thing that would make this able to work, is the ability to recolor the fur, and stuff like that. I figure that if you make a dynamic texture (recolorable in the player creator) and a set texture for users to modify in photoshop (face it, we ALL have it), everyone should be covered with a bit of time and skill. In addition to the texture part, reformable heads are a must to turn fox into dingo. Badger into raccoon. Wolf into dog. etc. Eyes are pretty easy to find one you can use, or take and edit in photoshop. This will not be a small mod, and I know that. But I think that if enough of the furry community pitch in, it will get done, and furries can go shoot hookers in Vegas. Or run around DC and the mod will be ported to work with New Vegas. If you are a furry, post this on FA, twitter, facebook, LJ, anywhere you use. Someone is bound to find this that will be able to do this.
  14. OMG! I was trying to do the same thing1 u got it?
