While i think the changes made to the mod pages are an improvement, i'm not at all keen on the new site header layout. As much as i would love the option to choose the old skin over the new one, i don't expect that will ever happen, so at the very least i leave some constructive criticism of a few of things that stand out to me.

1) Having to click the search button to make the search box visible is a step backwards that now requires two-clicks to start searching instead of the previous one. I respect that you want to make the advanced search more obvious to your users, but you could get the best of both worlds by incorporating the search box back into the header and placing an "Advanced Search" or "Adv. Search" link to the right of it for those that want quick access to it. You have the space, make use of it! =)

2) The profile image in the top header is not aligning vertically very well (at least in Firefox).

3) The track, download and endorse, etc buttons on the mods page could do with a couple of tweaks. The first being to apply the same gradient styling to them that the rest of the website uses on its buttons so that everything is consistent. The second is that it would become more obvious to uses that the mod has been tracked/endorsed/voted if instead of just changing to orange, the wording could changed to Endorsed, Tracking and Voted, the same way the endorse button used to show Un-endorse before. You could even add a green tick image next to the wording to make it extra obvious.

4) I don't like the styling of the pop-up menu you get when you click the <User>'s account button in the header, it doesn't integrate very well. The white drop-shadow doesn't look right and i think it would be better changed to black or removed entirely, the white upper border removed from the arrow image used at the top and the text/background colours matched to the other pop-up menus on the site (white on grey). If you want to keep the menu unique, you could change the border (not the drop-shadow) to blue like you use for mod author comments on mod pages.

Sorry if all that sounds a little rambling, i just think those tweaks would help to both polish and improve the usability of the site. =)
