  1. Thanks! Yeah my pillars must have bugged somehow.... I'll remember this for my next playthrough!
  2. I've had this very complaint since Oblivion and I know I'm not alone. Cuz someone modded it for Oblivion later. Horseback combat - whether spears, lances, swords, or bows - has existed pretty much since horseback riding itself was discovered. And it's been ***200 years*** since Oblivion..... and no one has mastered firing an arrow from a saddle. Re. Tard. Ed.
  3. That's pretty funny. Just kill him and go get another man! :teehee:
  4. You're missing a set of stairs then. The barred door is what you'll be exiting from after you kill the boss upstairs. She (I think it's a she) will have the key needed to exit her boss area. IIRC the stairs were behind a door that hadn't existed the first time I went there (when I didnt have the quest) and that door was near the barred one. Try using the Clairvoyance spell if you have it. There are also several walkthroughs on youtube; just searh Fellglow Keep and about 10-20 should pop up.
  5. Are you actually involved in the 3 books quest or are you just going there bc you heard about something? All of the dungeons in Skyrim (I've seen) that have associated quests don't "activate" their final areas until you gain the quest. Instead of mages, you should be seeing Necros, for example. Also, all the caged Vampires should be alive, rather than dead, and there should also be a guy in there screaming his head off about being saved. If you have the quest. If not, it's just a 'regular' dungeon with no way to reach the 'questable' areas. Like I mentioned, Fellglow isnt the only one, either. The best way to tell is to kill everything that you think you can find in the area(s) and then look at your map. If it says it's "cleared" then it wasn't a dungeon with a quest. If not... well... you'll likely be going back. :pirate:
  6. Right? Somehow I broke the marriage scripting by allowing that one companion to stay dead wayyyy up in the hills. Then hiring another one much later on. And I didn't even have Mara's Amulet until *after* all that. Weirdness!!
  7. Yup. I love the dragon armor sooooo much too. :pirate:
  8. I cant remember everything cuz im in my first playthrough but here it is. I became a thane in Whiterun and bought Breezehome. I got a chick from the Jarl as a sidekick in the deal. She proved worthless to my sneaky-type character, always rushing in and getting us detected. We were high in the hills when a pair of ogres attacked. I cast a fireball at the wrong time and killed everyone. Including the chick. I left her there. I went solo for a while til I found out you could actually marry in the game. Ok. I get the amulet and hit the bow/arrow place where Jenassa hangs out. I recruit her for 500 and we do slightly better as a team, nailing ruins and stuff. I'm a vamp at this point now, so she's meat anyways. Eventually I decide I'll marry her just for the heck of it. So we announce the wed to the dude in Rift-whatev. He says we got all day tomorrow. Except im a vampire and I dont have all day. So I push time since were indoors and the wed happens at something like 3am. Boom, the dead chick (from the ogre attack) drops dead (again) at the front door of the Mara chapel. Freaks everybody out. Jenassa splits, telling me to talk to the priest to reconcile. I try talking to him, no dice. He's telling me I need to go. It's a mess. THEN... I still have this Mara amulet. So I hit some backwater meat market and suck a girl in. And we get successfully married. FREE BLOOD is what I'm thinkin now. And I tell her "No, we can live at my house, Breezehome" cuz she was all talking about living with her parents and stuff. I've been at Breezehome for enough time to hit stage 4 vamp and no wife. w.t.f.(!!!)
  9. If he is the powerful draugr at the end, then yes I killed him. I also reforged the pieces and killed all three again. But that doesn't answer my original question. My question is about the pillars and the drawbridge later inside the Hall. Not about the overall quest.
  10. So I went in, dropped through the hole, killed a few draugr, and was in the chamber where the four pillars and grated door were. The pillars would not rotate when I'd activate them. And I knew from the walls by the stairs what the order should have been. I got frustrated and 'tcl' through the grated door and eventually wound up at a bridge. This time the lever would only shoot spikes out. So I had to 'tcl' again to move on and defeat the map. What did I miss?!
  11. I've found that certain areas won't "clear" because they are attached to a quest. One big one that comes to mind is when you have to go after three books for the orc librarian in the college. I ended up going back to a place that I'd already been to. When I was at the end of the dungeon, I noticed (like you) that it wasn't cleared. So I did a shout in the room and a red dot appeared on my compass. I went everywhere and couldn't get at the target. Later on, when I got the quest and went back, the place had changed some internally (the vampires were actually alive, but all were dead my 1st time in) and there was a door where I'd swear there wasn't before. And - yup - it lead me right up to the last baddie. Then it was cleared. I've seen this multiple times since.
  12. Resolved. Got up early this morning with a fresh cuppa joe and added the FollowersTrade to my NPCs and it worked like a champ. Just throw it in there and make the REFs. Didnt even have to link it to dialogue at all. The same scheme works for the other wheel areas like wait and aggro. I cant believe I couldnt find this via Google sooner. It's stupidly simple. Thanks Quetz.
  13. Does it HAVE to be in the FollowersTrade topic? Which makes it part of the VNPCFollowers quest? Bc I have my guy on his own quest (xxJNPCSamson) and his topic within his quest is "XXjnpctrade", with a result script (begin) of 'openteammatecontainer' (along with a Goodbye flag) and yet I can still only access this thru 'normal' dialog.
  14. I've seen a few vague posts on this thru Google but no real answers. So I hope somebody can assist me with this. I have an NPC follower that I created, plus another (Brahmin Companion) that I downloaded back in Dec-Jan. I quit playing the game til last week and now the companion wheel will not allow me to access the inventory. But it still works for vanilla followers like Boone or EDE. I'm certain a patch broke this function. As a workaround, I've added topics to conversation to both NPCs to allow for it, but how do I mod the wheel function back in to them? Thanks in advance, X
  15. Hi all, Is it "illegal" to use assets from FO3 in a FONV mod? I read somewhere that the reason an RL-3 mod had not been made yet was bc of legalities involving the sound files from FO3. Is this true? I'm planning a mod and wanted to use the supermarket from FO3 along with a few of the buildings from the Capital Wasteland (and some other architecture,) then mash it up with some stuff from FONV. Then release as a NV mod. But I wanted to know what my options were before I started importing the assets. Thanks, X
  16. Ive been at this for a couple of days and I'm completely frustrated. I have created an NPC with an associated quest, and I've added dialogue into the quest. I more or less followed this link here: http://www.theengineeringguild.co.uk/fallout-3-dialog-tutorial My problem is when I look at the NPC window and hit the dialogue button, there are other topics in the window that I cannot delete, and these are the "general" stuff that an NPC will say. Like rumors and whatnot. How do I get this NPC to function as a speaking entity?
