  1. Really depends what kind of games you want to play on PC, if we taling about games that are new, or pre-ordered, expect issues with it. If we talk about top of the edge games which really need beefy PC, Hitman Absolution, GtaV, etc. , where's a lot going on under the hood, you might need a slight change but you are still good with those stats. If we talk about games what Bethesda made and some of a kind games, which is basically a wooden toy car on a carpenter's bench you could have fps/lag issues, but that's not because your rig, It's because some forgot to delete loaded chunks after you shambled around, some mess up graphics or meshes and the list goes on. But we are on the nexus so I assume we talking about Skyrim, Fallout, Dragon Age, etc. which are really just need a look at it to be working fine, I say you should go and check what are the issues with the game, and modify the settings, get mods that modify the settings, tune it like a violin, fix nonsense stuff and make the game able to handle your PC for a game or two. I say read about the game what people have issues with, why, is there a fix, also really helps if you keep your pc healthy, CCleaning, Defrag, and other great stuff. Also check if you have a gazillion mods installed, that also can make issues. My Specs: Windows 7 - 64 Bit <- I don't trust Win10 yet, that auto download and install bull*** pissed me off. AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series Intel® Core ™ i5-3300 CPU @ 3.00GHz 8 GB RAM I don't have much money either, but still can manage to play Fallout 4 like if it would be ultra high graphical looking and run like butter.
  2. I have, and going to send it. Great! Thank you for doing it! I'm gonna play around with it, also gonna give credits of you in the mod.
  3. okay, don't fail your exam because of a beanie model :pinch:
  4. there is a method for it to work, I've just read it: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/54741-tutorial-how-to-edit-normal-spec-maps-for-fallout-4/ I have a plugin for Photoshop, so thats makes things easier  Uhh I really need to catch up with file formats, and technical terms. As on my end, is there something I should focus on, a theme, or a character, story etc. for the drawing?
  5. exactly, I just check it with NifScope for some calibrations if its even needed, and use the retextured file I have in the mod, change it a bit to match better for the form.
  6. .dds = diffuse map, the compressed texture itself_msn.dds = should be the body's normal map_s.dds = well since the specular map is in the _n.dds alpha i guess this is a gloss/shine map_sk.dds = if i remember right these maps contain sub surface details Biggest impact would have the change/edit of the .dds map since it contains the "real texture", _msn.dds - the normal map defines 3D details - simulates more details on a low polygon surface. There should be the specular in its alpha channel (black=dark, white=bright ingame). A "faked" normal map itself can be generated with Nvidia DDS plugin for Gimp/PS from the texture itself. _s.dds - just had a look on it in PS, seems similar to the other object's _m.dds, same color sheme as the specular map mentioned in the _msn.dds. Black = dark, less reflection/gloss, white = the opposite. _sk.dds - well you see its details in Gimp/Photoshop Hope it helps.
  7. Heyo, I've made my account a long time ago when I wasn't sure I'll stick around, but I still stick around, so... is there a way to change the profile name?
  8. I've uploaded a Misc. file on the mod Page called WIP Beanie for you, it have the .nif meshes, and the .obj mesh saves I improvisingly Imported with NifScope. I don't know if it helps but hope  Also I study economics, even if freebie sound nice, I grew up respecting the work people do for me, even if thats only bringing me a cup or so. Trust me, I would make you a 3D model for a 3D printer to print you one of the delicious cakes my grandma cooked, ....if I would be able to program it, ...and the printing technology would be more common.
  9. Hoi I don't know which one is more easier to do, I really don't want to take up much of your time. I think if you modify the existing mesh from the game is faster and easier, but you know how it would look better. I just want it to work for the game, have a world model and such, both for female and male versions of the file, ummm if you need the mesh for it you could download my retexture for it here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10471/? , I've tried to be handy when I made this small mod about stuff like that (foward thinking yay!). It will be a suprise for a streamer and a streaming group when the survival changes drops, uhh I think i want to use the texturesof the Grey Knit Cap modifications for it what I made and fix the lines to look better. Alsooo I can't respect your work with money, I'm not working yet, but I can draw something nice for you for it like an avatar or something nice for the mesh if thats OK.
  10. Hi there! I'm very new as a mod creator, and as forum swimmer, but long time lurker on the main pages. I've been messing around in 3ds Max. I want to modify a Grey Knit Cap [Fallout 4 mesh, a .nif file] to look more like a Beanie, its really not a difficult thing, and one of the final update of one my mod and I just can't figure it out. I got 3ds Max just for it, saying "how difficult can it really be? Probably not that much..." aaand I'm here, looking for just a little spare time for a minor modification from someone. I tried to figure out on my own, but realised that I need more research to even handle a 3D softvare properly, I'm pretty good with Textures and connecting dots for the game, but not yet with 3D models. It would make me really happy if you could make the Beanie mesh, for me, also I think Fallout 4 need more Beanies as mods, so it would be a nice avaible resource for others too i think. Vauge, but If you could say some tricks for me about handling a 3D softvare, idk where to look, what to read and/or watch for better understanding yet, it would make me very happy. ♥ If you would make the Beanie mesh and also give tips and tricks you know about, what makes easier to handle a 3D software. A picture what I'm talking about, a Bobble cap to a Beanie. http://i.imgur.com/PleGmLXl.png
  11. Hiyo, I'm very new as a creator, and as forum swimmer, but long time lurker on the main pages. I wanna modify a Grey Knit Cap [Fallout 4] mesh to look like a Beanie. Its one of the final things of my mod and I can't figure it out. I got 3ds Max just for it saying "how difficult can it really be? Probably not that much..." aand I'm here. It would make me really happy if someone would make it for me, I think the Fallout 4 nexus could use a Beanie mesh, form thingy. It also would make me happy if someone would teach me how to handle it to make the mesh, idk If i really want to learn it yet, but still would make me happy. :ermm:
  12. How are you Gentlemen!! All your base are belong to us. I'm Geonemesis, I know my profile name is not that because it was a long time ago when i created it, and it annoys me as well. A very long time lurker here, I've started when I tried out Morrowind modding right before Oblivion came out. I'm a sucker for survival, I really need help with it because I had to reinstall Skyrim 12 times because too many mods. Just made my first mod which is a suprise recolor for a group, I can see myself if I get into it as a role-friendly outfit/clothing maker guy thingy. hothtrooper44 work inspires me, i think he/she knows what a game needs if we talk about clothing or armor. I'm an excellent observer, and shy. Need more information? :nuke: Oh yeah, My favorite game is Terraria, but I love Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, And I'm getting to like Chucklefish games. I love games with lot feelings in them too, like Oni and the Blind Forest. And a friend of mine broke his monitor while he was loosing againts me in Unreal Tournament. I have unusual tactics in strategy games, I'm more like a gonna backtab you with my little group while you trying to get down my defenses.... I like tower defenses... hmm... I think its a nice start.
