  1. Valve has yet to proof themselves greedy, ofcourse I might be a bit over supportive of steam and all, but again they have yet to dissapoint me. on-topic tho, great to see its here, good luck modders, and best of all have fun.
  2. While i largely agree with you (I've made more than a few enemies around here through my support of steam, functionally and conceptually) none of that really helps the OP. Alithinos, really, send a message to Steam Support. They'll be better suited to help you than anyone around here. yeah I kinda forgot that, though the question got answered /=
  3. how can you possibly have problems with steam? I have 32+ games on steam, if anything its the best thing that ever came by. I never have to worry about losing discs, cd-keys and so on. I've had my account for so long now, having it been inactive for a year or so when I lost interest in pc gaming for a while, when I came back, everything was still there. I am fairly sure you simply forgot your username/password. to further confirm this, my cousin has had steam waaay longer then I have, and hasn't used it for ages. logged in not to long ago, still works. also, about Origin, you do realise THAT is a trouble maker right there? have you read the s*** it does? I immediatly removed it. Steam is by far my favorite place to buy games now, I know its safe, fast and easy. Their customer support is really helpful, I get replies quickly and often get my problems solved in one or two goes.
  4. yeah I know, I am used to putting Dawn of War in front of it, hadn't even noticed that Dark Millinium didn't have Dawn of War in front of it xD. though I find myself hoping it will be amazing, I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you.
  5. hey everyone, anyone excited for the awesome new Dawn of War game coming out? its far from out but still, I wondered. for some that do not know, here's a trailer :) warhammer 40k darkmillium trailer so what are your thoughts?
  6. I agree, Paarthurnax is my mentor, and nobody messes with mah mentor! when they told me, I went pirates of the carribbean style ''Twice this day I find my self in utter bewilderment'' and they learned how to fly, atleast, I hope they did, that probably made a nasty crunching noise... *slow nodding*
  7. brilliant idea, the lusty argonian is going to be hilarious, if you even bother doing it xD
  8. its a real shame all of you have such issues, mine however works better then ever, I actually notice an increase in running speed (I can spawn a shitload of guards and get 0 lag) and my random crashes are gone. hope they fix it for ya'll.
  9. I never listen to any reviews, if the game appeals too me, I buy it simple as 1.2.3 tho, I can understand your frustration clearly this game isn't getting the attention it should be getting (luckely its still getting a lot) however, anyone can know that a Bethesda game is amazing, it comes with its flaws in the beginning I agree but overall its simply an astonishing game. so I'd like people to pay less attention too IGN etc they just review out of their own or their pockets perspective. see for yourself peeps ;3
  10. I think it would be awesome too have a mod that allows you to step into the shoes of a deadric prince, have your own little realm in oblivion and Deadric minions to do your bidding. teleport mortals to your torture chambers, or like the deadric prince of madness go on vacation in a dead lunatics head! xD and make them use... THE WABBAJACK! seriously tho, it would be amazing too just be as crazy as him and start annoying the crap out of the people in skyrim.
  11. as a hardcore elder scrolls fan, I can't just see myself doing that, too much dreams and hope went into this game in my case, and its undeniable absolutely brilliant. the music, the ambiance etc. however, I understand how you feel about it completely. but too add too your comment about steams, in my personal experience, this is the first screw up steam has made, I only got good memories about steam, they reply quickly too support tickets etc. but again, if this is your first time using steam I understand that its an extreme bummer. (sorry for my crappy english btw)
  12. no, steam doesn't need their permission too alter the exe too only be able too run in steam, since its a steam game. normally steam seems too be an intelligent company, how wrong could I have been? surely they were awere of the issues with the game yet they still decided too patch so that 9/10 people cant play anymore. and yeah, your right it should've been menaged far better. especially from steams side since I have no doubt they could've atleast let us use the TEV.exe for aslong as needed, but no. too be honest, I do not see the point of it either, it wont stop pirating and certainly wont help anyone, I've heard of multiple cases where the game used too run great without the 4GB patch and now its broken. I hope I can find a older version of the TEV.exe floating around the web, and I will make sure too post it here if I do.
  13. indeed, it should be nominated screw up of the year, they'd better patch it soon, or atleast revert the TEV.exe so I can atleast play again. now this is what my gaming experience looks like ''HEY LOOK A D-'' *crash* or *opens door, loads Solitude* gets in solitude ''okay where could I buy that house again?'' games reply *crash* . I always support Bethesda but there testing my patience right now...
