Hi folks, i played F3, F4 and NV thousands of hours. Modded to the max which had my pc smoking. Sometimes not very stable but i was satisfied. But that is years ago and now i wanna start over again. There are simpy no decent games out there which have such an atmosphere. And that's the problem. I have to build up a New Vegas install from scratch and simply dont remember how to do it right. Starting with which mod manager to use. NMM or Vortex? And i need a VERY detailed guide how to prepare NV and (at best) a guide which mods to use. Any of your help and patience is greatly appreciated!

Where have all the stats gone?

Damn! This is completely new to me. Thanx for the info  -
Guess you're right. But doing all those settlements all over again is a serious pain in the ass.......

Where have all the stats gone?

Sounds logical. But the experience you gain is based on type and level of your opponent. Therefore some kind of counting or measurement still exists. But i must admit this would be a nasty job. -
I'm going to finish my first playthrough within the next days (thanx to winter holidays) But after cleaning out my actual mod list and beefing up my rig (got myself an EVGA GTX 1080ti SC2 Hybrid Gaming - holy s#*!! This one is feaking awesome!) i want to start a new game. But i don't want to build up all my settlements again. It would be perfect to start a new game and simply have all those tasks and mission set to zero again. I know there are some console commands but i fear they will screw up the game. Any chance of solving this without bad side effects?

One of the big points of FO3 (and F:NV) are the statistics. Seriously. Seeing how long one has played is funny but far more interesting is to see how many enemies one has killed. Creatures, humans, etc... Is it possible to create a mod making all this visible in FO4?

companion or follower mod like in Skyrim?
Rubberduck69 replied to Rubberduck69's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Played around a few month and i'm still not satisfied the way Bethesda managed the sandbox option/mode within the companion module. Problem is that i do have several very cosy player houses. I want to stay my companions in some of the houses and not in that damn wrecked settlements. Even if they look pretty decent (using some good blueprints). Is there a way (or mod) to handle this? Maybe it's not released, but might be soon? Anyway, thx for your help  -
Could be the water reflection settings in your ini files (including prefs.ini). You should try them out.

companion or follower mod like in Skyrim?

Gotta give it a try then. Actually i'm thinking of some player home mods i'm using in my current playthrough. -
companion or follower mod like in Skyrim?
Rubberduck69 replied to Rubberduck69's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Never tried that option. Gotta admit that (shame on me). I thought using this will make them go away (really go away!). Do i have an option to send them to one of my player homes? -
Until now there are almost no interesting or beautiful female companion available. At least according to my taste  Something like Willow in FNV would be perfect. But that is not the biggest issue worrying me. Until now there is no mod available that offers me a little bit more of control of my companion. Behavior, levelling, specialization, etc... Or (my favorite) "Dismiss, but hang around". Man do i miss this  Leaving a companion behind at my home they look like statues. Does anyone know if a mod like this is "in the making"?

Translating a mod (weapon mod)
Rubberduck69 replied to Rubberduck69's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Thanx. I'm doing the translation solely for myself. The tool is very useful. But it's more time consuming then expected.... -
Downloaded 2 great weapon mods from a russian site. Unfortunately i don't speak russian  How do i translate the weapons descriptions? Or better where do i find the text files?

Simple question there... How do i change an npc (actually my followers) haistyle? Using FO4Edit? Which section? I got several hair mods installed and would like to try some of these.

Anyone? Can't be the first to have such a problem...

Yes. Just checked it again.

Topic says it all..... Starting nmm i can see all my plugins but the mod list is empty. Is there a chance of creating a new one? I installed the brand new nmm for my Fallout 4 game and it works perfectly alongside the "old" nmm for Skyrim. But i must have screwed up something. How do i fix this?

Not that i remember. Maybe i should give the mentioned mod a try. But i'd rather have my old light back... You said it's an ini Setting? Maybe i should search for the correct settings. Will do..... Edit: Anyone with some hints where to search for a very detailed ini guide (esp. for the pipboy)?

Finished optimizing my load order and now i'm actually enjoying this great game. But there are a few things left that are really annoying. When i turn on my pipboy light i get a pretty straight forward flashlight beam. That's pretty nice and some people may think it supports immersion but i really hate it. I want my old School pipboy light back, I don't now if this is a vanilla Setting in FO4 or if it caused by a mod. Actually i don't use any flashlight mods (only some weapon and armor mods but they are quite simple and stand-alone). Any clues how ti fix this or maybe revert it to my liking?
