  1. I understand WHY many people say they are sympathetic with Bethesda because they have a right to charge this stuff due to them creating modding tools when they didn't have to. But there is too much focus on the idea that "they do it for free so we should appreciate it" when that isn't wholly true. Yes, the modding tools are free and that's wonderful, but the community takes the tools, makes mods for fun, and in turn the life of Bethesda games are extended an insane amount longer than other offline games, which means they are CONSTANTLY SELLING COPIES unlike stuff like Titanfall or last year's Call of Duty after a new one comes out. We give back by doing something that ultimately results in more game purchases. Reaching out for more money by upsetting the mod community, while within their right, was a bad thing to do, and people should stop feeding this illusion that we just take and take while Beth are getting nothing from it.
  2. In response to post #10441169. #10441927, #10442097, #10443176 are all replies on the same post. Manual downloads don't have metadata. Same issue. Everyone who is anyone is already using Mod Organizer. @Exoclyps Don't. MO stores mods separately to allow profile functionality. It will not play nice with your stuff already in the data files folder.
  3. In response to post #10441169. People aren't freaking out because they have to install their mods manually. They are freaking out because they now have to install tons of mods without the metadata which could lead to future problems, lack of update/version notifications, be uncategorized, etc. Plus the fact that manually installing from an archive does not neatly put mods in the proper downloaded list of any mod manager, making it harder to keep track of things. If someone is installing a fresh skyrim right now he will be royally screwed because his 150+ mods have absolutely no metadata so basically his entire setup is just as messy and hard to work with as if he just drag/drop installed everything.
  4. I know this is an old thread, but it still shows up on google for search results including 'umpa's sexy walk' Anyways I've discovered that Umpa's Sexy Walk likes to ALWAYS be at the end of the load list. Every time i use BOSS it sends it somewhere in the middle, and i have problems with it often. However I always send it the the very bottom of my load list using OBMM and it works 99.99% of the time. There are some very rare instances in which it doesn't work but that involves altering your character (showracemenu) and certain abnormal tasks and can be easily fixed by restarting the game, but this may or may not happen like 1/500 times you play, so it's basically 100%. Hope that helps for anyone googling this problem
