I have tried that but I'm still getting crashes. Gone back to NMM and manually checked versions of mods. Looks like many were out of date and NMM has not automatically retrieved new ID's. Now I'm going to see what happens in game. Thanks again. UPDATE: Updating mods made no difference. I have been exiting in two stages and the game goes non-responsive on the final checkout, so to speak. Just tried a new game and it quit no problem.

Like most people I've experienced random CTD's with this game but now I have a regular problem - the game crashes every time I exit to desktop. The game actually freezes and I can't close it with device manager so my only option is a restart or shutdown. I have about 20-25 mods installed with NMM and sorted with LOOT. I've even followed the FO4Edit cleaning guide and cleaned the DLC.
