  1. One thing that really annoys me in Skyrim is the fact that when there is a battle-scene (story line), like for example the Whiterun invasion, when you kill someone, and move the camera, then move it back, the body is gone. You can not loot them, they are gone in seconds. That is done for console optimization, but as everyone here knows, PC gamers are not down to accept this "break the game immersion to improve performance" kind of deal. So I have started doing a mod for this. I am now having to go through each story battle and find and remove the dispawn. Obviously I am talking about the original Skyrim here, cuz we still have to wait for the new SKSE64 to come out. However since I don't really have that much time (uni), I am not really sure if I will be able to finish this mod, never-mind port it to SKSE64, where I would like it to be. I will need to create a function that, instead of dispawning the bodies immediately, they would stay until the end of the battle scene. After that, NPCs will come to "collect" them. Obviously these need to be all scripted. Watch some old medieval movie in order to see this happening after every battle. They collect the bodies and either burn them or bury them, so that disease don't spread. This is exactly what the mod is about - to bring immersion of medieval times in real world into the game. If anyone is willing to work on such a mod I can pm you details of what the mod should do, but I will just give a small warning that this might end up being quite a project to deal with. Just to clarify, this is an "immersive" mode.
  2. I used to do scripts for MC then lost it all. Of course, I did not care to make them compatible with consoles and they ran bad on PC as well. In any case you got a point about the sharing of mods, yeah that's write... Anyways, why am I so crazy with the PC master race BS - here is why: Yeah guys, I was so much against consoles since the time i played that 1h on PS3 (it was when it just launched so count the years back), which got me extremely disappointed with what I found on the Sony's store compared to Steam as well as the way games looked compared to what I was used to on my PC. Yeah it was going and seeing what is the step down from what was "everyday" gaming for me, which was "poisonous" for me. And that led me to think, "this should be kicked out the market, it looks too bad for the eyes". Then it was all the fanboysm around the coming of DX12 to Xbox, the hardware specs of the PS4 vs Xboxone, which people didn't know they even meant, which completely turned me against the console community, simply because everyone lacked knowledge about what happens behind the scenes in games (APIs, rendering, components). Then there were a series of events that were just extremely annoying, mostly around PS4 gamers...I don't know if I should mention those.... So yeah i don't know if any of you have met or spoke to people who don't make sense of what they are about to do next and would spend money and then be disappointed for that and blame you or somebody else when you just told them not to do it. Oh yeah and this - I literally was saving off lunches for PC upgrades while my friends around got a PS4, started paying a subscription, bought very expensive games that I got for cheap...guess what happen when started comparing the differences - jealousy. They were so jelly they wanted my whole steam library and whatever...yeah that of course ended up in the end bad for me - cuz i lost them all. But I didn't care - i was still doing my thing.
  3. This isn't enough. They have to whine and cry about the fact that they don't have the requirements to run those mods. In that case, it will not be us modders and PC gamers to blame. The less mods we give them access to, the more whining there would be...And unfortunately nobody, Bethesda nor MS nor Sony will be able to do anything other than create a mod kit for console gamers, so they can create mods for themselves - and on top of that, they will have to pay for it. I never wanted to play any of the console exclusives, perhaps yes, Halo, but OK i accepted that I can't if I do not buy an Xbox, but for just one game I wouldn't because there are 100s of exclusives that PC has, more than all the consoles put together, oh yes - Backwards compatibility is also an issue for them, and not for us, but it seems as they do not realize that. I want to see the console fanboys on their knees in front of all the PC community. They will cry "I want this game, this mod and that and that" and we will say "NO, unless you join us". Oh you really don't get it do you? Modding was never meant for consoles, it has been exclusive for the very begining, so why now? Why should we let them? If they wanna mod, then they should jump on a PC and mod right? We create mods for our PC community, not for them. They are a bunch of fanboys and do not deserve this feature if MS and Sony does not provide it to them (since they are all paying those 2 console "owners").
  4. Hello there guys I think you know already that there will be a special edition of Skyrim that we will receive for free and console gamers will get for $60. They will probably be able to use some of the mods that do not require SKSE, idk which ones, but generally non-graphical ones. To prevent what happened with F4, and to keep modding on to PC gamers, you know what you have to do. Update your mods to require SKSE! SKSE will never come to PS4 or Xbox. If they want to mod, they will have to buy PCs. Lock down Falskaar and other expansion pack like mods. Whatever you think will be available to the console community, put SKSE in those. Let's make their limitations more obvious than they already are and force some of them to give up on their platform because of this. Modding will stay with PC, and only with PC! Consoles are out the door in the cold!
