  1. Hello friends, I'm on Vortex 1.11.7 and using it for Fallout 4. I began downloading some mods and then realized I ALREADY had many of them saved on another drive. So I cancelled the downloads. My Vortex downloads folder is: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\Downloads I cut-paste the mods from the other drive into the folder above. However Vortex is not seeing them. It only shows mods I downloaded from within Vortex. Windows File Explorer shows 42 items but Vortex shows 31. How to get Vortex to show these mods I manually dropped into its downloads folder? Thanks
  2. Some great lists of games shared here. I like those kinda games too. One gripe I have with some games today is the lack of persistence. For example you have a fight and kill 15 enemies in a game but after some minutes the game removes the bodies. So theres no sense and feel of any accomplishment. The Mad Max game is guilty of this, love the game but I have seen the games engine remove bodies after a battle. So yes, you get the fancy blood effects but nothing to show where they came from. Some games even remove the blood splatter! Theres no excuse for this, devs should give us a menu slider setting. Those with weak PCs can disable it , those of us with powerful systems can ramp that slider up. I cant recall the game but its a siege type medieval game and somehow its able to KEEP hundreds of bodies lying around after a battle!
  3. I had this same problem and for me it was fixed by disabling all Whiterun-related mods that I had: Authentic WhiterunCity Forests & LandscapesThe Pines of WhiterunWhiterun StreetsWhiterun treesOnce I disabled all of those the CTDs in Riverwood went away. Eveyones Skyrim config is different so your mileage may vary but if you are suffering CTDs in this area and have the above mods then try disabling them.
  4. Thanks for all the help and replies :) After hours of fruitless searching I remembered I had burnt dvds of all the skyrim mods. Even better I had used the spanning function in the dvd burning software - so there was a text file showing the contents of all 7 dvds. And on the 7th dvd ....I found it :) Its the "Better Environments" mod. Hope this helps anyone who wants the same look to their Skyrim.
  5. Thanks AvelonHellfyre  for the reply Im gonna go check that mod out now. Unfortunately it is not Skyrim Flora  I went to the location that you see in the shots and my current setup looks nothing like that. I think Ill have to brew a lot of coffee and trawl through the Environment mods on Nexus! Btw sorry to sound dumb  but what is "Cot"?
  6. Hallo  I had to reinstall Skyrim due to some problems I had. However Im having a hard time finding some vegetation mods I used to have in the game before I had to uninstall. Fortunately I had taken some screenshots. I was wondering if you guys & gals would be able to identify the vegetation mods from these shots? Specially on the first pic- I seem to remember that glowing bug on the right had something to do with this. You either clicked on it and *something* happened to the environment but I cant remember what :ohdear: Desperate to download these mods again! Thanks for any help!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can you identify the mods being used in these shots? http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy321/saabgripen/Games/Skyrim/Screenshot12615.jpg http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy321/saabgripen/Games/Skyrim/Screenshot14631.jpg http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy321/saabgripen/Games/Skyrim/Screenshot12410.jpg
  7. Thanks for this, I was trying to figure out what had changed. Some of my fav mods dont work anymore :(
  8. Thanks for your replies, I will try editing the Aspen trees. I realize now it will be a huge mission to replace all those wide open areas with dense pine forest!
  9. Hello friends  I was just wondering if it will be possible to make all Skyrim vegetation green? And I mean all of it, the entire map. I really hate the orangey, yellowey shrubbery (like what you see near Whiterun). It makes Skyrim feel like a theme park to me full of plastic plants. I find that I spend all my time messing about in and around Riverwood because its so lush and green  Is there a mod out there that will do this - make ALL the vegetation green? Is it something possible to do with Creation Kit? How complex a task will it be. Or is it a case of telling the engine to replace the non-green veg with green? I took some screenshots near Riverwood. This is what I would like all over Skyrim. http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy321/saabgripen/Games/Skyrim/Screenshot11045.jpg http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy321/saabgripen/Games/Skyrim/Screenshot12410.jpg http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy321/saabgripen/Games/Skyrim/Screenshot14631.jpg Lushyness greeny-ness  Thanks for your thoughts!
  10. Hey everyone  Is anyone else having this problem? I just downloaded the Creation Kit from Steam but the weapon form is greyed out! This is what I did: Loaded Creation KIt (CK) Set Skyrim as Active File & let it load (it loads with some error messages but after that the CK starts fine.) I selected an existing weapon Right click > Duplicate & a copy is created. But even when I went to my copy to edit it the Weapon Form remains greyed out :( This is the form Im on about, mine stays greyed out and nothing can be edited: http://www.creationkit.com/images/thumb/0/03/Tutorial-Customizing-2.jpg/757px-Tutorial-Customizing-2.jpg Therefore I cannot follow this tutorial: http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Customizing_Weapons_%26_Armor  Any advice please..!! Thank you.
