  1. This is technically two different mods that would work in conjunction, and I'm wondering how hard they would be to implement. First I should say that the inspiration for this idea is making Assassin not completely useless in fights where combat is initiated without a chance for surprise. My initial thought was allow Assassin to trigger surprise during combat, via attacking while hiding or something similar. But surprise in BG3 (and DnD5e) is extremely OP, so I didn't want to do that without nerfing surprise itself. So the first mod, inspired by the DnD2024 rules, would be making surprise give disadvantage on the next attack roll or for the first turn. With my limited understanding of modding, that seems pretty simple; you'd just be modifying an existing game mechanic from "no reactions or actions" to "disadvantage for 1 turn". The second, and harder, mod would be to give Assassin some way to trigger it during combat. Ideally I'd want something that counts as Surprise for the assassin, but not the rest of the party, so the assassin gets their crits, but the enemy is not affected unless they try to attack the assassin themselves (disadvantage vs the assassin only), but that would require a 2nd version of surprise, I'm assuming. Any more experienced modders that could weigh in on how hard both of those versions would be?
  2. Before Patch 7 I had my Show Item Labels button (Alt) working as a toggle. After Patch 7 it's not working, and I have no idea whether it was a mod or some file change that enabled it. If anyone else with a better memory than me could help me restore that functionality I'd appreciate it
  3. Is there a way to fix the white streaks with only a .mop file? .mop seems to have the same data in the file that the tutorial says to edit in .mor, but nothing changes despite the edits being saved. I don't have .mor files for them.
  4. I'm having an issue with white streaks appearing in my character's hair. I seem to recall having a mod to fix it, but I can no longer find it. I've found several topics mentioning editing a .mor file with the toolset/gyGFF editor can fix it, but I can't figure out how to edit a default preset headmorph. I can edit the .mop files for my modded presets, but even that doesn't seem to do anything (following this guide). Do I need to convert it to .mor? Does it need to be converted back to .mop after editing a .mor? Do I have any clue what I'm doing?
  5. If anyone still needs this issue solved, and doesn't pay attention like I do, there's a patch for FNIS now (V5_5 Fix 1 at time if writing) that fixes it without complicated workarounds.
  6. I'm getting a problem on a few of the presets from Lovely Presets, 1 human and 4 elves. I assumed it was KH's textures, because Candace only requires those and a hair pack, which should affect eyes, but KH's is installed (properly, I believe) and it's not working. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: it's a little unclear from the picture, but there aren't any eyes, not even solid black ones. Just blank sockets.
  7. What is a 'texture pack optimizer'? I disabled the textures for 2K Skyrim, leaving WATER and SMIM as my only other main other graphic mods (unless you count K ENB . . . :P ) and my game had no noticeable drop in G/C- PU performance.
  8. I do, and I also have the Unofficial Patches for everything, so anything game-breaking shouldn't be so much anymore.
  9. I ran it with SPM, and my memory stays around 1Gb, with VRAM @ ~3Gb. As you can see. Not sure if ENBoost/ENBHost is skewing the results or not.
  10. @sonicp: No, I do not. @chanchan05: Well, I kept track via task manager, which is by no means infallible, but it was no more than 3Gb of memory used. If you could point me in the right direction I could try the Skyrim Performance Monitor, but I am 99.9% sure it's not, as the time between crashes varies between 5 minutes and 6 hours (though it has gotten worse, it seems to be about < 1 hour now), and memory issues cause a crash within a distinct time period of starting a game.
  11. So, this is probably too vague to help me, but I'm having a lot of CTDs at completely random moments. They generally occur when I move from outdoors to indoor (within seconds), indoors to outdoors (usually a couple minutes of play), opening containers (instantaneous), or trying to access magic/inventory menus (instantaneous). I know it's not a memory problem, so I assumed it was scripts, and turned on the papyrus log. That turned out to be monumentally unhelpful. It's a different script each time, all from different mods, so I'm reasonably certain it's not scripts either. Sometimes I can play for hours on end,and other times it will crash within minutes of loading a save. I've run all over Skyrim and done many many things, and I still can't find a reasonable explanation or correlation between what's happening in Skyrim (visibly or in Papyrus) and the crashes. Here's my mod list/load order:
  12. I have 4 logs, but all are a significant amount of time ahead of when I failed the quest.
  13. @brsingr11: I would have done that had I thought too much, but I'd rather not disable all mods and restart now. I've done quite a bit since getting out of Helgen. @chanchan05: Here's my list:
  14. So I've run into a very curious problem in my game, in that, during my escape from Helgen with Ralof, after fighting the torturers, I failed . . . Unbound. All of my objectives are have the red X of failure, including looting Gunnar's body, and Ralof won't move past the torture room. I tried teleporting him to Riverwood, but he just stands where ever you place him. I can't fix it with console commands (I've tried SetStage, SetStageCompleted, ResetQuest, CompleteQuest) and I don't know any other way to fix it. If anyone could shed some light on the issue, that would be greatly appreciated. Note: I have quite a few mods installed, but the only one that alters stuff like that is Civil War Overhaul, and I'm pretty sure Unbound doesn't fail from that alone.
