If I didn't have to get off my horse whenever I meet a mob, and if such mob wouldn't automatically attack my horse and kill it, while completely ignoring me and resulting in a waste of 1000 gold, I'd probably ride around Skyrim a bit more.

Thanks everyone for the replies. :) I found the key to solve all my problems in Conjuration. Either by summoning atronachs or reanimating corpses, I have someone doing all the dirty work, or at least someone to tank while I poke the enemy with a Bound Sword (+ a Shield) or Bound Bow. I wear Heavy Armor where I can't put something that boosts magicka. So basically I became what, in old times, we would call a Battlemage. :|

My esteemed colleagues, I need your help. I've always played stealthy characters, and I already beat the main storyline as a stealthy character. I started a new game because I wanted to try something different, so I created a Breton guy and decided to walk the dangerous path of magic. I'm getting r****d so hard it's not even funny. I'm level 8 and using mostly Conjuration and Destruction. I spent very few perks: I got dual casting for both schools of magic and novice and apprentice spells for both. I got 3 perks available as for now. My average battle consists of running around like a madman while summoning Flame Atronachs or reanimating the corpses I find, while trying to avoid enemies, and shooting flames from my hands when I got the magicka. Are there any tips or guide on playing a mage character you feel like sharing? Any perks or spells I should look forward to? Should I look into armors or just go for tunics? Thank you very much for any info. :)

Multiplayer is all I'd like to see really. It doesn't have to be a huge multiplayer experience like a MMO, I'd be happy with a co-op mode with 2-4 people, and maybe make the world persistent. Sorta like, when you log in alone you can do stuff on your own, whoever logs after you finds the world the way you left it (aka cleared dungeons, merchants got the stuff you sold them and so on), or just go adventuring together. ;) I'd also like to see an extremely huge world like Daggerfall, with pretty much endless chances of exploration. (Let's face it, Cyrodill is kinda small lol).

I'm level 16, I'm a master in Blade, I'm a master in Sneak, I got the Sneak Overhaul mod where sneak attacking with a dagger does x15 dmg at master sneak level. That means I do a shitload of damage, completely ignore armor AND that damage get multiplied x15... add a poison to that and the shocking damage from my dagger. Sylvan Warsmer and such, these guys barely feel me, not to mention that whenever I attack one, the whole dungeon comes after me. They're damn strong and if you can beat them, please let me know how because I don't think there's much more I can do to improve my character skill wise (although I could use some better gear). If you play OOO and want to see what I'm talking about, go to Barastas, an Ayleid ruin NW of Anvil.

Well, the Thieves Guild gives you Infamy, so some shrines won't heal you up because you're considered a criminal (but for some reason the shrine of Mara works for me). Maybe that Mages guild quest involves going to the same place as the Thieves guild quest you're currently doing. Or maybe you killed an innocent person by mistake and the Thieves guild goes angry 'cause you can't kill innocent people. If the next time you sleep you recieve a visit by Mr. Dark Brotherhood it means that I'm probably right. Else, I dunno. :S

Oh very cute, somehow reminds me of my University days where we would stay awake till early in the morning, go to the bakery to grab some still warm croissants and go watch the sunrise. Totally random I know, lol. Nice job. :)

I feel you, I always got so mad when the people I was escorting died on me, no matter how much I tried. The only way I had found back then to save their asses was by cheating: either giving myself a Resurrection spell so I could bring them back to life or making them spawn again through console commands. But, I recently installed the mod "Unofficial Oblivion Patch" which seems to have fixed this sort of problem. For some reason, even during the siege of Kvatch, all the NPCs remained alive for all the duration of the quest, while they used to die as soon as I stepped into the city. :\ Try getting the Unofficial Patch and see if it solves anything. And about killing them yourself, try paying a bit more attention. :P Flank or get behind the enemy, and instead of swinging your sword like crazy, attack with less frequency and only when you're pretty much sure you got a clear hit. If by some misterious reason the NPCs get against you because you hit them, remember that you can hit space while blocking to make friendly NPCs stop attacking you. Good luck!

Well, I love my horsey because I don't use the Fast Travel, and even though I have a fast character, going with my horse is insanely faster. You might be seeing poor results 'cause you got a dumb horse, so if you want my opinion: if you want to see a difference, gather up 5000 gold, head over to Cheydinhal and buy a Black Horse (being the fastest buyable horse in the game). Have fun getting to places even faster than fast travel and outrunning whatever stands on your road. :whistling:
