  1. You guys at the nexus really go above and beyond. Thank you for this and all the other amazing things you've done for the gaming community.
  2. I find Skyrim's silly console-geared hotkey system unplayable, especially as a mage using a bunch of spell mods. So here's my question: what hotkey mods do people use? Are people playing mages with Apocalypse spells and not using a hotkey mod? Isn't pausing combat to go to the favorites menu all the time agonizing and immersion breaking? More Hotkeys Please is no longer being developed (and prone to script lag, in my experience), Grimy Utilities is amazing but doesn't do as much as I'd want my hotkey mod to do and I don't want to use script dragon. I think I'm just going to use Grimy for now and settle for adding an increased magicka cost for insta-casting. There was a mod for Oblivion that gave you a modifiable matrix of hotkeys up to 4x8 or something, which you could set to do virtually anything from any key, plus modifier keys. That would be ideal, but I'll settle for way less. Huge thanks in advance; this is the keystone in the arch that hold up the cathedral that is my amazing Skyrim experience. EDIT: Sorry, should I have posted this in the mod detectives thread? I didn't realize what that was...
  3. Nooooooooo!!!! (in Episode III Darth Vader robo-yelling) Tragic, but I had that thought. Thanks.
  4. I've been playing Skyrim with about 130 esps, I can give more info if it'll help but here's my question: My priority is smooth, interesting game play and I've got the interesting part, but the script lag is making the game unplayable in heavy combat. So of these mods, what's really script heavy? Better Vampires, Civil War Overhaul, Deadly Dragons, Dragon Combat Overhaul, Dual Wield Parrying (SKSE), Fire and Ice Overhaul, Frostfall, Immersive Patrols, Jobs of Skyrim, Personalized Music, Run for your lives and When vampires attack, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, SkyRe, W.A.T.E.R., Wet and Cold, Enhanced Blood Textures, Autosave Manager, SkyTweak, Grimy Utilities, Lock Overhaul, RLO, Travelers of Skyrim, Organized Bandits in Skyrim, Sneak Tools I just started messing with my mod list so frostfall isn't listed below (I think it's going to be cut.) I'm also thinking I need to tone down my settings for Autosave manager, which I have set to make a different named save for almost every event on its list. And looking at it, I guess travelers, immersive patrols, immersive creatures, civil war overhaul and OBIS might be over the top. But if I'm not playing with at least a few of those and a hotkey mod, I don't even feel like this game is worth playing; giving up on SkyTEST was a brutally hard decision already. Tangentially, what's the least script heavy hotkey mod? It doesn't have to do autocast but I need at least another dozen spell hotkeys. Last but certainly not least, should I do any papyrus tweaking? It seems like there's a lot of misinformation about those tweaks. I was reading something from the people who made Climates of Tamriel (I think, but it could have been RLO or something) and they said that imaxallocatedmemorybytes doesn't function as it's supposed to and really does control total memory usage. For the record, I've cleaned everything with TES5Edit and am pretty experienced with ASIS, Bash, BOSS, etc. so I'm pretty sure all that stuff is good. And my computer is a custom built gaming computer (i7 920, brand new graphics, card 8 gigs of ram, etc.) Thanks for any input
