  1. The main game has been updated to version 1.10.64.0 five hours ago . F4SE is currently for game version 1.10.50 .0 . so it won't work along with the mods that need it They will update F4SE as soon as they can for the current game version. when they do download the new version of F4SE Then your have to wait for all the mods your using F4SE in to update from fallout 4 1.10.50 .0 F4SE To fallout 4 1.10.64.0 F4SE Then reinstall /update them also You can roll back your game with steam console To version 1.10.50 and continue playing Till F4SE & the mods catch up to the update That's what i do i roll it back and wait for everything to catch up . Or try this for the future .This is a handy mod that backs up your exes if you need to roll back https://old.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26956/? Welcome to modding Can i use this "fix" safely? For eg: When the new f4se comes out and and the mods that rely on f4se are updated can i just switch back to the latest fallout4.exe? Or are my saves screwed? Got a couple things to help you out. First there's FO4 Custom Steam Launcher. It works like a charm, and is really easy to set up. Now you can launch FO4 anyway you want and the script extender will run, even when launched thru Steam or whatever mod manager you use. Second, you need this to protect you from future unannounced updates, Fallout4.exe Auto-Backup. That will backup your FO4 executable, so if Steam updates/breaks your game, you can easily roll back to the previous version and your script extender will still work. Of course you will have to set Steam to play OFFLINE or Steam will just update the game all over again. Anyway, those two mods are designed to help protect you from just this kind of situation, and they work great. I especially like the custom Steam launcher one, so that I always have FO4SE script extender running no matter how I launch the game. Hope this helps some people. Edit: Oops, I replied to the wrong person, and I can see he's already pointed you toward the FO4 backup mod. It's early and just having my first cup of coffee, so give me a break. I had the best of intentions..LOL But seriously, look into that Custom Launcher mod, it's awesome and really easy to use.
  2. From the link provided above: "The issue in Deadly Combat (a cloaking script) potentially can be avoided by disabling the locational damage mechanic in the MCM before encountering any NPCs as that is the only mechanic where this is a problem which would make it viable for use, however proper testing on this needs to be carried out before it can be guaranteed as a solution." Sounds like I'm gonna turn off the locational damage, which should turn off the cloaking script, and continue to use Deadly Combat and probably add Combat Evolved to the mix. I just hate to give up Deadly Combat. It's my all time favorite combat mod, and I can't wait to see how much Combat Evolved adds to it.
  3. Wait without having to either sit down or lie down. When I'm planning on attacking a fortified bunch of super mutants, and I want to either wait until night time, or wait out some fog that's rolled in......it's ridiculous that if I can't find a place to sit or lie down that I can't wait. So we either need a mod to allow waiting like in previous Fallout games, or a portable sleeping bag to enable waiting whenever you need to wait. Please.....Let us WAIT.
  4. This is also the most annoying thing to me. I love playing as a sniper. And when I can spot someone with my naked eye, then pull out my recon scope equipped rifle and the scope marks them, and they are easily seen in the scope.....it is annoying as heck that I can't shoot them. When you can easily make out what armor they are wearing, what guns they are carrying, and even see if they are male or female....yet somehow, they are still too far away to actually shoot them. It just makes me mad. LOL It's just wrong. In real life, a gun will shoot much farther than you can effectively see. But if you can easily see someone, then they are certainly, without a doubt in range. And the OP's picture is pretty far away, in fact you can be closer and see them much better and still not be able to shoot them. It's frustrating as heck. Just guessing, since it's hard to judge distance in a game, but I'd say you can make a 200 yard shot, but 300-400 yards is too far for FO4, and that is ridiculous. These are sniper rifles, not bows! Heck, there is a warning on .22 ammunition that they will fire 1 mile. At 300 to 400 yards you don't even need a sniper rifle. Come on Bethesda, geeez. If you can spot someone with your naked eye, they should be dead meat with a high powered recon scope equipped rifle. PERIOD. Update: It seems my game must have been glitching out. I had a day where my range was just awful....but the next day, it's back to normal and I can play as a sniper again. I was thinking I was able to make those shots normally, then it just stopped and long range shots were not hitting the target. I wasn't actually going crazy, lol. Guess I should have quit and restarted the game. It seems to have corrected itself.

I'm old enough to remember the net when it was just professionals and some of the more advanced college and educational people. Everyone was civil and respectful. Then the internet got easier and easier to use, and soon EVERYONE was on the internet and it was a nasty place. You can't go to any thread of any article on any subject on the web without some immature, hateful, inbred, idiotic person who lives to just insult and piss people off anonymously. Your Better Males mod has 52,698 endorsements. In the whole scheme of things, if you counted all the ones making petulant demands, saying ignorant and hateful things, you might have a few 100......maybe even 1000 or 2000 at the most. So, in the whole scheme of things you are forgetting the 50,000 sensible, mature, respectful people that appreciate your mod because of the vocal, minority that seems like an overwhelming mob, but they aren't anywhere near the numbers of the vast majority of your users. Troublemakers make a disproportionate amount of noise, is all I'm saying. Don't paint all mod users with the same brush because of all this.
  7. What's up, Sam? Hope your exams went well, I know how GREAT it feels to have them behind you. I just got through reading this thread, and I've got to commend you, you answer practically every comment and/or question. It's great to get ideas from others, as the more ideas that get bounced around the better the end result, but I have to kind of laugh at some of them even when you are too kind to do so. It reminds me of past programming projects at work. They start off with a set of concrete goals and expectations, and a deadline of course, and you say, "Sure I can do this". Then everyone wants to see your progress and it begins......."that looks awesome, love it......BUT could you add this, and add that, and change this", etc....etc...etc....and the damn project never gets finished because of constantly shifting goals and added features. A project to design a simple, efficient, & elegant letter opener, becomes an inefficient, unwieldy, & bulky, swiss army knife instead. I can't remember how many comments I saw saying, "Can you add X, and maybe add Y, and possibly put in a quest where obtaining X & Y would cause Z to happen? Oh, and BTW, when will it all be finished? I can't wait". LOL Sometimes you just have to stick to what you have planned, finish it, and then you can entertain additions and expansions. Because constant additions, changes and expansions lead to things never being finished. I've been there, and done that. I'm sure I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know. But you have the enthusiasm, energy, and patience of youth on your side, I'm glad it's you doing it and not me, haha. You keep up the good work, it's really looking awesome. With those exams behind you, things will go much easier. Of course you can do things however you wish, but I'd advise you not to try and add every good idea that comes along in the first version, save some ideas for future updates, otherwise you'll find the summer is over and you still aren't finished. Don't forget, there will be the inevitable bug fixing to do too, and those three months will fly by before you know it. Good luck, and no pressure, but we're all counting on you! haha
  8. Is it just me or is this whole "making a skill Legendary" kind of counterintuitive and stupid? I mean, if I improve a weapon by smithing and improve it to Legendary level, it is top of the line with lots of damage and whatever, but when you convert a skill to Legendary, you are nerfing it back down to newbie lvl 15. How is that considered Legendary? It is just a respec, not even close to what I'd consider making a skill "Legendary". Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this way?
  9. "To make it worse only 4 of the 20 main anti-virus programs people use flagged this as a virus." I would love to know, what were the 4 AV programs that caught it?
  10. If you block the ads, Nexus doesn't get paid, it is not a win win. Did you even read the article, or did you just jump to post your misinformed advice? It's ok if you want to block ads, that's your choice, but you will be throttled because you aren't helping the site by viewing the ads.
