spoiler Interracial babymaking
verly replied to spinspider's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Grey Warden's are not infertile.. two Grey Wardens together are (if they don't use magic), but there can be a rare chance for a Grey Warden and a non Warden to conceive. Dwarfs themselves have a very low birth rate, but there are apparently half dwarfs. Elves do not have a low birth rate, but any child conceived with a non elf will create a non elf. so a human + elf = human apparently Zev has one kiss where he does kneel (I had it happen with my dwarf. it was after the tent invite. and a mod has been created to cause better kisses and I use that now.) -
spoiler What is the appeal of Alistair to females?
verly replied to SpellAndShield's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I like having Alistair as a romance, but only for a human noble. He broke my first city elf's heart. (and I was a bit devastated!) I actually prefer Zev's romance to Alistair. I guess I like the bad boy turned goodish. lol -
Twist what story? If you take the bribe you are allowing Shianni and the other women to stay for more "fun" That's part of the bribe. These same men that raped Shianni and the guards that say the sicking "she's still warm..what more do you need?" about one of the other girls. and the fact you take the bribe over the body of your bleeding and raped cousin. No, I don't see why she'd be mad about that at all.

uhhh. wynne is right! She *really* doesn't like it when you are in a relationship with Zev.

spoiler Favourite Origin to play with
verly replied to spinspider's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
city elf female is my favorite. I guess dalish would be my least, but it's just because it seems so rushed. -
my favorite ending is having Alistair as sole ruler (hardened) and my character either staying in Denirum helping him out (with her love Zev at her side) or Zev and her off training new GWs. If it's a Alistair romance it's only as a human noble...I'm not going have my girl be the hero just to be a girl on the side for anyone and I can't think of a single character that I've made that would be happy with that idea. My favorite male ending I had was as a human noble male that had his relationship with morrigan (kissing bella and anyone else along the way) and marrying him off to Anora. (this was the only game I saved Logain because I couldn't see having Anora's daddy killed if my guy was marrying her. )

How do you pick your character names?
verly replied to elooocin's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
sometimes I come up with my own and other times I'm not feeling creative and I just use the name in the creator or slightly change it so it's a bit different then the default name. -
What's your favorite mod/hack?

verly replied to elooocin's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I didn't know that either. my current avi is a human noble I made, but the face looks more elfish to me and I never knew there was a way to use that face as an elf face. -
This is the same answer I added to a discussion on the Bioware forums when this was asked: I have killed him in my game except once because I wanted the trophy, but since I bought the game on the PC I'll have to do it again at least once for the same reason. I like having Alistair in my party. As for why? I get that we didn't know everything that went on at Ostagar and I can understand that there might have been a reason for him turning from the war, but why did he blame the death on the Gray Wardens? Even some of the gossip was that it was silly because the darkspawn killed the king. It's his fault that my character has to sleep on the ground for somewhere around 2 years hiding out like a criminal gaining a rag tag group of companions which consist of: you're fellow gray warden who doesn't want to lead, a mage that complains about anything that is not totally evil, a loony bard that won't stop falling in love with my warden (I know it's a bug), a huge silent guy with anger problems, a flirty elf assassin that was sent by logain to kill my character (ok, that's a plus on his side), an annoying old lady mage that won't stop sticking her nose in my business and a large golum that also has anger issues. not to mention having to fix every problem my character comes in contact with "werewolves you say? I'll do it!" "No king? oh I'll spend a year here helping out. I don't have anything more important to do." then he blames selling elves to slavers on MY character and her gang of idiots. I didn't have a butt lode of cash either and my character didn't do anything like that. Oh, he dies in my game for sure.

What's your favorite mod/hack?
verly replied to elooocin's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I love the hair style and character creator mods, as well as dragon age redesigned, but I really NEED the lock bash mod. I'm actually now fine with playing a warrior and mage now without being mad that I cannot open chests early in the game. -
We Need More Manly Hair Mods Dangit!
verly replied to freemanphd's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Ideas
I completely agree. I really want my guys to have nice hair too. -
the only things I can think of are Zev's gloves and boots even after I have him in better armor.

Who was the first character you slept with?
verly replied to spinspider's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I first played on the PS3. my first romance was with a human noble with Alistair (so it ended beautifully) I can't remember the rest. I just bought the game on PC a few months ago and Zev was my first since I was playing a City Elf and I didn't want her dumped. almost everyone in my game now is with Zev if they are female. -
thanks. that is Honor, my human noble warrior..i just put her in that outfit because I love it too much. :) it's supposed to be for Lelianna.

no, I never delete and start a character over, but I do make more then one at a time. If I get bored playing as my Female City Elf rouge that is romancing Zev, I'll switch over to my female human noble warrior that is romancing Alistair. or my Evil male mage that is romancing Morrigan. or whichever person I feel like plaing. at the moment I have 9 characters at various areas of the game.

I understand that fallout and Oblivion are creepier, but I agree with what was said above that it's because those are first person games, but I find many things about dragon age creepy. I agree with elooocin about Hespith (sp) rhyming before you meet her and the broodmother herself is frightening. (if you're a female player probably a bit more because it's what you're character might become some day) I think the orphanage when you help out Ser Otto later on in the game is also creepy again more rhyming children)

spoiler Favorite moments of the game
verly replied to brokenergy's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
When Zevran gave the earring to my female city elf after she turned it down the first time. She asked if it was an engagement and he said it was if she wanted it to be. :D -
oh, yeah, I know what familys you are talking about. I myself delete all made characters before I play the neighborhoods. ( I don't know if that is even possible with the Sims 3) I use face default overrides because the maxis faces are so ugly. so I created everyone... there are tutorials on how to make your own townies as well. The question I was answering was the original question if the Sims 3 was better then keeping the Sims2 + expansions. I was also referring to why people would play the Sims games. :) I was just explaining that some people use them for more then they were originally created for.
-
there are several websites that do contests involving using the Sims games. From modeling shots...to long drawn out stories where they take pictures to help tell the story. Some people make movies with the Sims while others use the picture taking idea to tell multi-chapter stories. As for the game itself it can be fun as well. (at least for me it is) in answer to the question. I only have the Sims 2 and a bunch of expansions. the Sims community is still working on good mods for the Sims 3 the last time I heard. It's not as mod friendly as the original Sims or Sims 2. Mod the Sims just broke the animation code for the Sims 2 a couple years ago...so just the idea of how long it will be to do that with the Sims3 if it's even possible. I'm sticking to the Sims 2. At the moment I'm busy playing Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age to give my Sims a life at the moment.

If you were in Dragons age
verly replied to tinylewtgriffon's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Zev and I would run off together (with me being a DW rouge too, with all the skills) and kill any Crows, Darkspawn, or even an Archdeamon that got in our way. Alistair can go do the GW thing, be king, or be a drunk, don't really care. lol
