I've been wondering how other people's experiences are involving the next gen update. personally ive been doing excelled since i made the choice to make my game completely vanilla since i head F4SE was going to need to update, so i uninstalled all my mods and everything related, and ive been playing the game in its vanilla form.

my game works for the first time in a while

so i opened my folder with all the mods and deleted everything in there which then made all my mods say they were all uninstalled and now i have just deleted all my Fo4 files and now going to test the game out

I run Fo4 on a laptop with only 256gbs of storage and i leave my other games on a SSD that is external since all my storage is on a SSD as the main storage unit of my laptop, and I also just want to get rid of all my mods and download the mods i want to keep since most of my mods I don't really use at all, and just waste so much of my space that i just sifted through them all and selected all the ones i wanted to keep.

so what i need to remove all game files that are apart of fallout4 then use the uninstall feature in vortex to get rid of all my mods and afterwards would i be able to reinstall all the mods I want to keep in my game afterwards i finish my new playthrough?

i wanna delete all my mods so i can play vanilla for a bit until all my mods update with the new update as I do want to install the upcoming update for tomorrow and i wish to go vanilla until my mods are compatable and also i only got 10 gbs remaining of storage

im just gonna delete all my mods and reinstall them when the new update comes out since a new update means all mods need to be updated and some that i use are no longer updated so ill just do that

yeah but i cant get to the main menu

ill try it on the weekend since i havent had as much freetime to fix the game

so i cant fix it?

so i have a ssd for extra storage for my games since my computer has like 237 gbs and i had low storage so i decieded to move my modded fo4 into my ssd but then i tried vortex and it said i couldnt do hardlink for some reason and when i switched it back to my main storage i couldnt open fallout 4 anymore so i did a fresh reinstall and nothing happened all of this was done on my laptop btw

I f*#@ed up by trying to move my fallout 4 to my ssd along with mods but wasnt compatible so i moved it back to my laptop and now it wont start ive tried the nuclear option but unsure if i did it correctly since it didnt work what do i do now

I am wondering if there is a mod that has a companion's ability to board a vertibird be removed as I have a mod that im too deep into to delete, After I realized the glitch all companions i now recruit just disappears and poofs onto the vertibird. Or if anyone knows how to edit the code to remove companions from boarding the vertibird it will be greatly appreciated as I want to keep playing with codsworth as he is my favorite companion BTW the mod is called Gun for Hire by Flashy Joer all help is appreciated

I got the mod to work by putting it into the drop file box in vortex

Ok. so i tried the same method i did to download mods into vortex manager that are off nexus and i dropped it into the little box that says drop files here and it just worked????
