I've tried the directx thingy, but it gives me a weird error message (I will attach this). I also had to jump through some hoops to get my GeForce Experience program to work lmao

Thank you for getting back to me! I think the fix should involve SKSE.ini however for some reason I don't actually have SKSE.ini? I will show you the directory where it is supposed to be but it isn't there? I am so confused Also, upon loading Skyrim now, I get an error message saying SKSE memory fix is not active in my game, and to make sure Data/SKSE/SKSE.ini has DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 or more. I would be able to do this if I had a SKSE.ini file! lol As you can see in the attached image, the place SKSE.ini should be isn't there. I should also mention that I installed the directx updater thingy and it told me that everything is up to date and nothing needs to be installed. edit: I have edited all the files in enblocal as specified here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/enb

Hi! I recently got a new gaming laptop and installed skyrim. I messed it up by installing some conflicting mods so I deleted all of them and completely reinstalled the game. I have 1000+ hours on skyrim so I would say I kind of know what I'm doing?? (idk maybe I'm an idiot aha). When I reinstalled it everything worked perfectly, I was careful on installing mods that would work together and rooted out the ones that weren't - everything looks nice and works well. (alternate start live another life makes it CTD as well, could I get some help for that as well? If not that's fine) Then I tried installing the enb files (moving the d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe to my skyrim directory under steam/steamapps/common/skyrim. Doing this and only this, not installing any enb files, makes my game CTD upon trying to load a save. I was thinking it might be leftovers from realvision enb I had before reinstalling but I've had a poke in my folders and can't see anything like that.
