1.8? Whoah I'm way behind. I noticed that many of the mods I looked at are surprisingly tiny in size (most smaller than 1mb) which I am able to download. So it seems I can't do any modding unless I update, which is a huge bummer. Thanks for commenting anyway

I have an agonisingly slow internet connection, and would take years to update. I opted against the automatically updating steam version for this reason. (I have the non steam version)

Every mod I have checked - a total of about 10, granted, not that many - says nothing in the 'requirements' tab of the mod regarding skyrim version. I have skyrim version 1.1 (Very old I know but can't update) and every mod I have tried installing has not worked, even though there is no version requirement on the mod page.
