  1. No problem kkrive! Thank and endorse the mod author :)
  2. No problem at all!! Glad I could help :)
  3. Think I found just what you're looking for: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66783/? "With Hearthfire Extended installed, you'll be able to build any furniture in any room, hire new types of servant for your homestead and hire guards to protect it."
  4. True, good point..however the game also autosaves at other instances too (fast travel, waiting etc) so I thought it would be cool to have a mod handle it, with maybe some other cool extras
  5. Realistic idea for a death alternative: I always had a problem with vanilla death. First of all, and most obviously, it is unrealistic to die and then come back to life and continue on. Secondly, like other people, I'm sure, I was frustrated by the fact that as long as I had saved recently, dying was no problem. I found myself saving constantly (breaking immersion) and almost not worrying about dying at all. I had to manually ration my saves and quicksaves to keep up the suspense of the game and give myself a reason to stay alive. Other mods, of course, address this, but I thought of a new approach to fixing this problem that is at least interesting. With this idea, when you die you go back to the last place/time you slept, using some auto-reload mechanism, making it so after you die you wake up, and you dying was just a dream. Like when you wake up from one of those dreams in real life. This would do three things: 1. Increase realism/immersion (yes, that overused word) by giving you an reasonable explanation of your death and resurrection - "it was just a dream." 2. Give player a reason and incentive to sleep regularly, which would also increase realism from vanilla. 3. Increase consequences of dying. This would be a huge boost to suspense and gameplay, and would reward playing smart and being prepared. The player would now have a bigger reason to want to stay alive. You could still save and load games like always, but dying triggers a special reload maybe? So if you were really stuck and didn't want to keep going back to the beginning of the day you could have that option, but if you wanted the realistic/hardcore reload style then you have that option too. An idea, I'd love to hear people's thoughts. A massive thank you, as always, to the fabulous nexus website and community.
  6. Okay, sweet. That is awesome, thank you so much for clarifying all of that...I don't even need it on nexus anymore, really, if I can just get it from the workshop.
  7. Clarification: I did not buy my game through steam, I bought it as a disc from amazon and actually have not opened it yet. However I heard that all legit skyrim games disc or steam download will be verified on steam, and thus have access to the steam workshop mods. Is this true?
  8. No I just bought a disc PC version, having the desire to switch to the master race from console because of all the amazing mods out there. Actually I just was reading up about steam workshop mods....so you can use steam workshop mods with a disc hard copy version of skyrim?
  9. So, I found this awesome looking mod on steam (Amazing Race Tweaks! Wood Elf: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=319356543&searchtext=), however I don't play on steam so I was wondering if some amazing person could/would put it on Nexus? Not 100% sure how it all works but that would be stellar if it could happen. Specifically for the the Wood Elf one, once again. It makes the Wood Elf racial abilities actually worthwhile, with animal followers, tracking, elven reflexes, etc. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks all
