  1. Hi guys, First and foremost thank you for all the help. I believe that I have drawn the conclusion that it is in fact my video card. After much testing (which oddly came up correctly) I can not even get over 16 FPS in the beginning scene of Skyrim when you are a prisoner on the cart. With my purchase of the 780 Batman Arkham City came free. I decided to install it, finally, and see how that would run. I cant even get throught the opening scene without stutters, bumps, loading screens, etc. This is very depressing but likely I still have a warranty to rely on. I have decided to take my computer to the local repair shop on monday to get a second opinion, but hopefully, all I will need to do is replace my video card and call it a day. Thank you so much for the help, the advice, and your patience. Im sorry if we were bouncing around but I truly did attempt to follow the "Help Format" post from the start. After I receive my video card and run skyrim once more I will let you all know how it goes. Again, thank you.

  3. Thanks for the replies guys. At this point the real stress of this card is broken might be setting in. Let me answer some of your questions first and maybe we can solve my own in the process.. 1) Im sorry if my post have been misleading.. this card was installed in May 2014. So I suppose when I said "fresh install" I was only implying as to when I installed the Video Card then. OS (Win7), Drivers.. everything is up to date. Running on 344.11. I don't know if this is useful information, but in the Nvidia Control Panel, it sets the graphics to "Ultra" while the start up window for Skyrim only will go to "Medium." 2) Valkasha, your help is so appreciated its crazy.. thank you for sticking through this crappy situation with me. No, the card was purchased brand new off of Newegg in April. I was able to run games like DOTA 2 and Crusader Kings 2 without any problem at all..(which I know are not even comparable to Skyrim, but not sure if the info is useful or not.) 3) Nazgren, that was an alt-tab after the 2 min mark to check out the resources. Never used the program before so im not sure if that affected the scores at all until the end. 4) Finally, ran Furmark tests: Score: BURN-IN SCORE: 5434 points 54003 frames, 60 FPS, 74°C Resolution: 1920x1080 (FS) - AA:0 samples FPS: min:59, max:62, avg:60 - OPTIONS: DynBkg I am running OCCT test for an hour as we speak. I am sorry if I am asking dumb questions here. I am very computer iliterate ( if you can not tell. ) Do these numbers indicate anything? From an ignorant view they seem to represent that my card is working properly?
  4. Sorry guys. First time I was able to get home, download the Monitor and run around Skyrim. So this is taken from the moment that I leave Helgen and while Im running around the world for about 2 minutes. Thank you again for all the help guys. Is this graph a indicator of anything ?
  5. Hey guys, Sorry for the delay. I work very odd, long hours and I do appreciate the help so far. So earlier today I ran a couple tests with vanilla skyrim if I lower the graphic settings to medium and change the view distsntsnce I can keep about 30fps if there are not a lot of characters on the screen. But as you can expect I am not satisfied at all. Texture detail I can live without but I spent this kind of money on the video card with the full expectation of being able to run skyrim flawlessly on ultra and a bevy of graphic mods to boot. when I get a chance later today I will run the hardware tests. As of right now I am just very distraught over this. Sorry for any mistakes. This is being sent from my phone. Also skyrim render info was brand new and recognizes my card. With the installation of the video card I basically brought my computer back to factory installation and reinstalled the OS and such. The start up screen if sjyrim set my graphic settings to medium.. which made no sense to me st all.
  6. Yep. It recognizes the GTX780. maybe my CPU is a bottleneck? But this game ran fine on normal settings with a 2500k and GTX570..
  7. I hope its not my power supply.. I just bought this as well. Seasonic Platinum 1000-ATX
  8. Hi Guys, I recently installed a GTX780 with Skyrim strictly in mind. I was hoping to run a heavily modded game. After a fresh install of Skyrim, I wanted to see how my GPU could "crush" vanilla's Ultra settings. Unfortunately my GPU performed far below my expectations and worse than even my 570. Upon exiting Helgen my game would begin to stuterr and, according to Fraps, I would stutter-walk around the open world bouncing from 8FPS to 25FPS and no higher. As you can expect this has led to a unbearable playing experiences. I know from reading around different forums that my GTX780 should be able to run vanilla Skyrim like a breeze but it is not doing so for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My specs are: GPU: GTX 780 3gb (driver 340.52) CPU: i5 2500k Memory: 8GB Ram Resolution: 1920x1080 60Hz
