  1. LOD generation should be one of the last things you do to your worldspace. And it does matter if you want distant terrain and objects such as trees and buildings to be visible in your world. Once you generate the LOD for your world it is a good idea to walk your entire space to see if you are happy with the results or need to change a few things to give it a more natural look. But if you do change the lay of the land or add more objects such as trees, rocks, or structures you will have to regenerate the LOD. With the new tools that are available for LOD generation it is a much easier and less stressful than before. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4727/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62698/? Make sure you download the Vanilla Tree Billboards file also. Good Luck with your mod. Thanks a lot. Couldn't find a straight answer anywhere, you really helped me out. Cheers.
  2. Hey guys, I'm a new modder working with Skyrim. I'm still confused by some of the terminology around here but if you could help it would be great. My situation is that I've been working on a new worldspace (an entirely new landmass accessible by boat) and have put many hours into it. I am also hearing all about generating LOD's, so my question is when should I do this? Does it matter? Or should I have done this before starting to work on my worldspace? I'm kind of worried all my work will be for nothing if this is the case, lol. Thanks in advance!
